Holiday rentals in Glounthaune Village

Lovely big house that was perfect for our extended family group. Large living space with wood burning stove was ideal and the bedrooms were comfortable. Location is rural with a nice forest area behind the house but it's quite remote from any towns. Check-in was very easy with a simple lockbox and the host was responsive to any of our queries.

As we were arriving at 4am, Denise kindly upgraded us to No 1, because it was easy to access as right next to the car park. The house has been recently refurbished. It had everything we needed, perfectly clean, very comfortable beds, fluffy towels, beautiful views. The welcome pack of tea, soda bread and biscuits was very welcome as we were unable to buy supplies on the way as we drove through the night from Dublin airport. The drive was from Dublin was easy, the check in was easy, the house was perfect and our hosts generously allowed us to be relaxed about our check out time too, which was much appreciated. There's a shop and a hotel with restaurant moments away, it's a longer walk into Killarney but doable. It's a very beautiful part of the world. We were visiting relatives nearby so hope to return soon.

This accommodation was booked for some colleagues who were carrying out work in the area. they found the property was ideally located close to the town, yet in a peaceful area, and more than meet their requirements. Veronica was a great host who was easy to communicate with and provided plenty of information on the house and local area. I would not hesitate to book again.

We loved our stay at Whiting Bay. The house is beautiful and set in the most stunning location. Maria was a very helpful host and responded very quickly to any queries. The house is ideal for large groups and worked so well for our family gathering. I would highly recommend.

A spacious, immaculately clean apartment with everything you could need. Julie left milk, tea bags and a lovely treat which we were grateful for. Have already recommended to family and we would definitely like to stay again.

We have just had the most wonderful stay at the red brick house. We were a group of 3 adults (one elderly) and 4 children aged 10, 8, 6 and 3. The house fit our needs perfectly, plenty of room for the children to run around in with the fantastic addition of the basement games room which had plenty of use from us all. Location was perfect for my elderly father in law as was only a short walk to the town. Joe who was there to greet us was very welcoming and helped settle us in and was also there to check that our stay had gone ok at the end. We will most definitely be back. Thank you very much. This place was a home from home for us! We were able to come in and feel right at home, relaxed after a long journey and close to those we’d come to visit. We were 2 adults and 4 kids aged 4-11. They loved this house and garden. They had the safety and freedom to play and enjoy the beautiful day/evening. Ger was wonderful and kept in contact, even coming to visit us to ensure we were happy. Instructions left were clear, and the house is beautiful. We were gutted to leave in our travels. But as my family live near by this place will become a yearly regular!
