Scarlett House is a jewel of a home in a spectacular setting just next to Corcovado national park. Seven friends stayed together here, and enjoyed the home cooking of Tatiana, and the expert guidance of Yeri, who brings a lifetime of local and lived knowledge, with such generosity, care, responsiveness, and humour. We walked in the park, kayaked at sunrise, and birdwatched all times of day and nite. Huge thanks for this treasured time in an unforgettable, peaceful spot.

Super nice large apartment with 2 bedrooms (1 double bed 120-140cm wide, 1 bedroom with 2 single beds & a Rinel sofa bed) and 2 bathrooms, large living room & kitchen as well as a small study. It is exactly as it looks in the photos & very clean and well maintained, very tastefully decorated. Great quiet location. Very friendly host who responds very quickly which was great for us as we booked very last minute.

Really enjoyed my stay at Casa Del Bambu! The grounds are beautiful, the house has everything you need and the king bed was so comfortable, which was much needed after a Corcovado tour. Hosts, Janina and Josh, were super welcoming and very quick to respond and help with questions I had about the area! Would highly recommend a stay here!

The location is absolutely amazing. If you surf you’re only about a 8 minute walk to the surf spot. You can walk to many different restaurants, grocery store. Every morning we were woken by different kinds of birds singing. The place itself is very nice. I do have a few negative things, the pillows are super thin, there was not any soap or shampoo (not a problem the store was close), the bathroom is on the first floor and if your wife is like mine who has to pee 6 million times during the night, I got tired of going up and down the stairs with her! The only other thing and it is in the description was no hot water, I thought my wife was joking when she told me this before booking the place. Nope! No hot water, the shower outside water is hotter! Other than these little items, the place is amazing, the host replied really fast when we needed anything, the location is amazing. We felt really safe! The price was great for this place. Just pack an extra pillow and soap!

The accommodation is just a 4-minute drive from the port, which is very convenient if you need to take a boat the next morning. The host kindly drove us to dinner and to the port the next day. We are very grateful. 🙏

Upon arrival, they helped us because the code of the lock to remove the key had been deconfigured, they arrived promptly with another game. The casita is as the pictures describe it; a beautiful place, very clean and has what you need for a happy and quiet stay. We really enjoyed ourselves as a family and were super grateful to Jessica and her lord, God bless them and repair many more clients.

We can't begin to describe the amazing time we had at Finca. We were fully immersed in the culture of the Costa Rican life! The property is beautiful, birds, chickens, horses, flowers and fruit trees everywhere. Luis was our guide for the week, and he truly loves what he does. He took us line fishing 4 times at the mouth of the Pacific Ocean, and we caught huge snappers and sea bass which Rachael cooked for us. So many monkeys!! Catching crabs for bait was so much fun. Toucans a sloth, parrots, howler monkeys the list is endless. Sleeping was great, we were a little concerned that there was no A/C but the fans kept us cool at night and during the day. We would definitely go back again. Oh, forgot our massages by Sara in the open air, truly incredible.

This place is truly special. the level of isolation in the forest is really something and hiking down to the lost pools was such fun. My kids loved the pool and the kitchen area has everything you need.

A great place to stay surrounded by so much nature, the cabin is lovely and the swimming pool especially was a wonderful addition. Great communication from Ashley, very considerate and always responsive, I really appreciate all your help in making Julianna’s stay so memorable! Highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay and it was the perfect place for our family! Having the pool and a kiddie pool was amazing, as well as use of the Rancho. I loved that the Ranch had bathrooms too, so we didn’t have wet kids tracing in and out of the house. The house was really nice and very clean. And the space was well thought through for guests. If the house started to feel a tad small for our family, we just stepped outside and had a perfect space in the Rancho even if it was raining. The property is completely closed which made us feel safe and allow our kids to play without worry. We thought this was the perfect place for us and will definitely be back when we visit next time!

Beautiful Private Home With A Pool In Drake Bay! Was A Wonderful House That Was Fully Equipped! We Cooked A Few Meals In This Home & Everything Was Provided! The Bedrooms Have A/C Which Was Amazing In Such Humid Weather! They Also Offer Daily House Cleaning & Pool Cleaning During Your Stay! We Loved The Area & Walked Many Times To The Beach, Grocery Store & Restaurants! The Host Was Amazingly Responsive & Helped Us In Organizing Our Transportation Via Boat Taxi From Sierpe To Drake Bay! The Host Also Had A Private Taxi Meet Us At Drake Bay Beach To Assist With Our Luggage On Arrival! Was A Wonderful Experience!

Our group of friends loved staying at this house! It was easy to find and easy to get in, and Lea and Dina were super communicative and helpful. The fenced yard really helped me have peace of mind on day trips, as our dog was happy and had lots of space to play! The backyard / BBQ area is a great hangout spot, and the pool was amazing in the hot afternoons. We will definitely be back.

This casita was the perfect spot to relax and unwind! The pool was awesome, gorgeous views and incredible star gazing (and thunderstorms!). Great recommendations by Rolando for the nearby beach 🏖️ that was splendid and with parrots 🦜 and scarlet macaws. A great spot, highly recommend.

Elise’s home was lovely and new! You can tell she cares a lot about her home and her guests in both her kind responses and by the little things - filtered water, plenty of hooks to hang items, fully stocked kitchen , even spices! She and her property manager Meredith were so helpful and generous, they responded timely whenever we had any questions. It’s close to the beach and I will definitely try to stay here every time we visit Pavones!

First we were a bit worried by the previous rather negative reviews, but it was totally fine after all. The couch had been repaired and the pots and pans are new. The place is quite remote and the driveway really long and steep, so we totally recommend to have a good car (ideally 4x4). With the remoteness comes a lot of wildlife - we saw so many birds, two types of monkeys and other animals right next to the perch. We brought good binoculars, which made it even better. Later on we did a jungle tour on the Osa peninsula and we were astounded by how many animals we already had seen on the perch in Pavones. The place is quite small. We looked at the pictures again and they don’t give a wrong impression, but for whatever reason we had expected a bigger place. Not the hosts fault. Looking back on our trip to Costa Rica, our stay at the Bird Perch was definitely a high light!

This is such a special place. The place is exactly as described and included all the expected amenities. The outdoor living spaces were unique and lovely and the air-conditioning in the bedroom ensure a great night's sleep. What was phenomenal (although this was also accurate described, but maybe not believable), was the wildlife!! Each afternoon we out bananas on the fruit stand and were royally entertained by the squirrel monkeys. We were also serenaded by toucans, scarlet macaws, and howler monkeys. We saw other birds and reptiles. We just loved this!!

Juan is such a lovely host! He’s super responsive and provided helpful information about bus schedules from Sierpe to Uvita/Quepos/San José. The house is a 20 minutes away from the boat dock and the walk there is gorgeous. Close by the house there’s a mini supermarket and the bus stop which is very convenient. I’d stay again if I’m coming back to Sierpe!

Host is great at providing recommendations. The house is on the river in Sierpe, and is in its own lot (to the nearest house is about 20 meters). The AC units in the kitchen and bedroom area keep the house cool. There is a lounge area that is not air conditioned. Internet is good very basic tasks and audio. It struggles with video (meetings, video streaming, etc.).

Nice and comfortable for exploring Volcan. Simple but everything you need for a quiet and peaceful stay.

One of the best private beachfront places to stay in Drake!!!! Had such an amazing time staying here!!! Amazing location outside of town and Lex was one of the best hosts we have ever had!!! If your thinking of staying Drake then this should be one of your stays. We can't wait to be back next year!!!
