Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Golfito

Elise’s home was lovely and new! You can tell she cares a lot about her home and her guests in both her kind responses and by the little things - filtered water, plenty of hooks to hang items, fully stocked kitchen , even spices! She and her property manager Meredith were so helpful and generous, they responded timely whenever we had any questions. It’s close to the beach and I will definitely try to stay here every time we visit Pavones!

Excellent service, location, price, cleanliness and close to everyone

The location is absolutely amazing. If you surf you’re only about a 8 minute walk to the surf spot. You can walk to many different restaurants, grocery store. Every morning we were woken by different kinds of birds singing. The place itself is very nice. I do have a few negative things, the pillows are super thin, there was not any soap or shampoo (not a problem the store was close), the bathroom is on the first floor and if your wife is like mine who has to pee 6 million times during the night, I got tired of going up and down the stairs with her! The only other thing and it is in the description was no hot water, I thought my wife was joking when she told me this before booking the place. Nope! No hot water, the shower outside water is hotter! Other than these little items, the place is amazing, the host replied really fast when we needed anything, the location is amazing. We felt really safe! The price was great for this place. Just pack an extra pillow and soap!

We had two nights in Sierpe and felt comfortable at the place. It was very good that we were able to book a day trip to Isla de Caño at short notice via Shanely and this excursion was very nice (boat tour and long snorkeling in clear water). Shanely's father was very friendly and took us to the boat trip and picked us up again.

We couldn't have wished for better! We are also very fond of it as if we were in this house forever.. comfortable, cozy, perfect in every detail. I loved having breakfast in the spacious outdoor living room, with birds of every color and sound and the now friendly iguana of all shapes and sizes. I watched the sunset from the river bank and rested peacefully even when it rained at night... we arrived tired and left regenerated and already with nostalgia... everything was very clean, equipped, everything is really perfect! Thanks to Simone for tips on nearby tours, for courtesy and immediacy. And Erica for making us find the house very clean and full of flowers, 🌺 I recommend with the heart to come to this magical place.

Guiselle was extremely kind to take my last minute one night reservation and to let me check in early. The place is bright and comfortable. I didn’t use any of the small kitchen appliances (coffee maker, rice cooker, panini heater…) The fridge was clean and in good working order, as were the 3 fans. Guiselle was welcoming and efficient, and her place is well suited to anyone wanting to spend a few days in Puerto Jiménez. Thank you Guiselle!

The house is everything you see in the photos, super complete the house, full air conditioning since the area needs it, the super comfortable beds and a beautiful screen in the living room, anyone who goes to Golfito and canoes should stay in this house

House is in a great location. Just a short walk from the beach and easy access to the main peak. Very traditional tico style house.

Carlos’ house was amazing! Not only beautiful but private. We loved getting up in the morning and seeing the parrots and toucans in the trees. The kitchen was well stocked as well as the bedrooms and bathrooms and it has hot water. If you are coming to San Vito this is the place to stay

Our family was only in town for 1 day to visit friends and ended up staying the day as we lost track of time . Ian was quick to respond and that helped us spend more time with our loved ones . Accommodations were accurate and he even came to meet us personally as we checked in to ensure everything was good. Very pleased with our late choice and we would go back in an instant. Didn’t hurt it was only 300yds to an amazing wave 😎🥰

This is the place to stay in Pavones!! Especially if you’re coming to surf! Right at the top of the point. You can keep tabs on the surf from your deck and paddle out when the waves and crowd dictate. Couldn’t have asked for a more helpful staff. Grounds were pristine, accommodations were great, pool was refreshing. Easy walk across the river into town. Perfect trip, perfect waves!! Thanks again Mili and Kenneth!!

This casita was the perfect spot to relax and unwind! The pool was awesome, gorgeous views and incredible star gazing (and thunderstorms!). Great recommendations by Rolando for the nearby beach 🏖️ that was splendid and with parrots 🦜 and scarlet macaws. A great spot, highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay. It was a great setup for our visit and we look forward to using this location again!

This was our second stay with Nannette. The first time we stayed in the bungalow and this time we stayed in the villa. Both are wonderful!! We really loved the extra space inside and outside at the villa, and the pool was a welcome addition. There are so many great touches to discover here... the outdoor shower, an amazing indoor shower, several seating areas to linger and enjoy the property, beautiful artwork, a fully equipped kitchen, I could go on and on. The grounds are maintained beautifully and wild life is visible daily without having to go anywhere. Nannette and her team are great hosts, always going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. We are already plotting our return. We have traveled all over Costa Rica and have found we prefer the laid back and uncrowded vibe of the Osa. Thank you Nannette for sharing your paradise with us!!

If this home is available, you should definitely book it! My family and I stayed at this home for one week and enjoyed everything about it. The home is very private, safe and located on a spacious, beautifully landscaped property. The pool is a wonderful addition, especially for children. We loved the awning over the pool for shade, and sun. The outside terrace area is great for BBQing and relaxing in the hammocks. We loved the quirkiness of the home. It's an older Costa Rican home, but it has everything you need with hot water, AC, and solar panels - so even when the power went out all over Pavones we still had lights and AC. We slept very well in these beds (the room upstairs is bright, but the downstairs room is black-out). The kitchen is fully equipped, easy for cooking meals. The location was top-notch, easy to drive down to Pavones or Pilon for surfing. Last but not least, Valentine is a wonderful host and goes above and beyond. We definitely want to come back! 5 stars!

This is such a special place. The place is exactly as described and included all the expected amenities. The outdoor living spaces were unique and lovely and the air-conditioning in the bedroom ensure a great night's sleep. What was phenomenal (although this was also accurate described, but maybe not believable), was the wildlife!! Each afternoon we out bananas on the fruit stand and were royally entertained by the squirrel monkeys. We were also serenaded by toucans, scarlet macaws, and howler monkeys. We saw other birds and reptiles. We just loved this!!

We loved staying again! The location is perfect for us - both on the beautiful beach, and near the point. The house is set up just right to enjoy with friends with large gathering spaces, and still have some space of your own. We appreciate the care taken before arrival - the house is spotless, and has a homey feel with coffee and staples to get you started. Thank you for another terrific extended stay! We'll see you again!

The house is so beautiful! Loved the view and the open concept that makes you feel like you are part of the nature. This was our second stay at the house and we had an amazing time. Kim & Phil are great hosts and very kind. Also their resort up on the mountain Bosque del Cabo is amazing and dinner was fabulous there! The staff was incredibly attentive and takes great care of your your family. Lorena the caretaker of the home was very responsive and kind. Thank you all for a great stay in paradise ! Can’t wait to be back! Pura Vida ❤️🌸

We Stayed at Casa Escondida with the family. It was a lovely experience. Right next to the beautiful beach of backwash. The house was beautiful and clean, with 2 big bedrooms each with their own bathrooms. The kitchen was a little small, but it balanced well with having the upper deck to enjoy having food in the outdoors. We saw monkeys, armadillos, toucans and more right next to the house! The manager there, Doña Irma and her husband were super sweet and took really good care of us. There is another house right next to Casa Escondida, Casa Luz, they were doing a yoga retreat there and it was calm and peaceful and we didn't feel at all bothered by being close. There was good natural separation with the landscaping. And yeah... the beach 25 steps away is priceless.

This place is very well located, very close to the beach but at the same time very quiet. We were able to walk and see the bioluminescent plankton, it was magical! We see monkeys from our terrace in the morning and even observed toucans from the comforts of home. There are no windows but there are no mosquitoes or flies! The beds are comfortable and the internet is surprisingly fast for a place away from the capital. We took advantage of the river a 5-minute walk away to cool off in the middle of the day and Ana Maria showed us a caiman in its natural environment. For a nature and authentic experience, I recommend it.

We stayed nearly 4 weeks in Pavones with our 3 dogs as we worked remotely. Beds were quite comfortable, kitchen was well stocked, and Walter (Henry's uncle who lives on the property) was very responsive anytime we needed anything! He also gave us some great fresh coconuts from his trees, which we made into wonderful smoothies with the blender. :) Our dogs loved it as they had freedom to roam, but note the yard is not fully fenced as it currently says in the description. You're on a steep hill above Walter's house but his dogs and ours sometimes ventured into each other's yards (which was fine; his dogs were very nice!). There's also a road down the steep bank so could be a flee hazard for some dogs! The wifi wasn't great for working remotely. It was OK for docs work but video calls were choppy and downloads/uploads were slow. There's also not a "dedicated workspace" as the description said, just one table (which was fine as I found a way to set up a standing workspace).
