Holiday rentals in Gowar East

My family of five had a lovely week stay at Three Acre Retreat. It was great to return after days of bush walking and exploring nature to a clean, comfortable and modern home. We spent a lot of time on the deck watching the wildlife or playing table tennis. The kitchen was stocked with all the cutlery and utensils you may need. Bedrooms were comfortable with plush/soft beds. The house would be suitable for all ages and my teenage girls and partner agreed it was a fabulous break.

Our stay at Adam and Peps was the best Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in and all 5 of us agreed! It was an absolutely beautiful place with heaps of room, very clean and tidy, and the hot tub and outdoor fire pit was a highlight! The beautiful vineyard and scenery around made us not want to leave to go on the amazing hikes around the Grampians which were all a very close drive away! It was private and extremely good value. Adam was super responsive with any questions and willing to help out with suggestions if needed. We are already planning when we can come back next! Highly recommend!

If you go to bed with the blinds up you will be rewarded each morning with a beautiful sunrise and the sunset from the back verandah and kitchen is just magical. Do yourself a favour and bring an esky and icepacks and head off to the nearby Talbot market where you can purchase freshly baked bread, cheese, salami, wine and of course fresh fruit and enjoy picnics in picturesque places like the Ballarat Botanic Gardens or perhaps the front or back verandah at the farmhouse. Make sure you collect some tourist literature from Maryborough Tourist Office on your way to the farmhouse (as there is no wi-fi) and perhaps a book or two from the Maryborough Lions Book Shop. It is a lovely place to stay and the bed is so comfy.

Perfect place for family. We had 3 families ranging from 9yo-86yo and everyone enjoyed the place immensely..the special place was the veranda which housed all of us, provided shelter from the sun in the afternoon and received the best breeze ever. We had many moments gathered there. There were also plenty of breakout areas..kids’ bunk bed rooms, kitchen, verandah, living area for multiple groups. Great memories!

We had a great time staying here! The house was really nice, super comfy couch and felt at home the whole time. Everything was clean and well set up, and it made for a really relaxing stay. our hosts were very responsive and helpful. Would happily come back!

Beautiful little home with stunning views and peaceful surroundings. Very clean, neat and easy to find. Friendly and fast communication with host. Lovely little getaway.

We enjoyed a great working stay at Robyn’s place. The home was very clean and tidy with great rooms for everyone, excellent heating and cooling, and it was close to the centre of Bendigo for all the beautiful parks and restaurants and other things to do. Thanks Robyn :) We would love to stay again when we head that way.

We loved our stay at Wendy and Leigh’s. The cabin was lovely and full of lots of thoughtful touches - basic kitchen items, a lovely breakfast basket, lots of comfortable furnishings and a lovely bathroom. We found the cassette toilet perfectly fine and easy to use. Wendy was very responsive, set up our fire for our arrival and ensured we checked in smoothly. We would definitely stay again. Rhonda was a great host, quick to respond and her home was beautiful with lots of personal touches, loved the photo album showing the process of the home being built and the garden and outdoor area were beautiful to relax and enjoy the view. Inside was beautiful and welcoming, the coffee machine was a life saver with good quality coffee and welcoming chocolates next to a beautiful welcoming message, we will definitely return
