Mountain escape, 15 miles from Moab! WF

StevenRating, 5 stars4 months ago
If you want to escape the busy tourist area of downtown Moab this is the place! It's a 30 minutes or more dive up into the beautiful mountains. we wish we had more time to explore the scenery. It is a beautiful place with everything as described. It had snowed 6" overnight and the maintenance guy was there first thing in the morning to clear the roads.

We had a great stay in the cabins and our kids loved sleeping in the loft area. The cabin was very clean which I appreciate and it was a perfect location to all the Moab activities.

Mountain RESET! Privacy, Hot-Tub, Views! SW

JohnRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Whispering pines was a lovely surprise. We had no idea how beautiful the setting for our cabin was. It was private, cozy and fun. We felt like we were in a completely different world than the touristy business of Moab. We spent every Morning and night in the hot tub enjoying the beautiful mountains, the sunsets , the night sky. And the surroundings .The cabin itself was cozy and fun and had everything we needed. Kathy at Whispering Oaks was supper helpful and available . We highly recommend Whispering Pines !!! You will Love it !

Luxury Mountain Cabin, near Moab! JR

MarianneRating, 5 stars12 months ago
Such a beautiful family style cabin that you can tell is well loved and cared for by the owners. Family photos all over the cabin and their story is in a book for guests to read. This cabin is located on the very top of mt La Sal which took us about 30 min to get to from the bottom of the mountain and it is a windy windy road. At the top is the small camp site/private property of the owner with other cabins on site. There is no ATV trails near by and property is covered in snow, windy and very cold during winter months up to atleast April. I checked the weather conditions daily and didn’t see anything about snow up there but I didn’t realized how high we’d actually be. I’m sharing this for you to be prepared and check weather in Mt La Sal area at the top of peak. We spent a few days hanging at the cabin and had an amazing time. There are NO fire pits at the cabin which was a bummer so no s’mores. Then the other days we ventured down the mt to the Moab area and had a blast.

As advertised, a basic place to stay in Moab for a very excellent price. Everything worked, and it suited our needs perfectly as a place to stage a wilderness trip from.

Quaint Mountain cabin close to Moab! GD

JeanneVyvesRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Thank you so much to our host, Kelly, for an absolutely INCREDIBLE stay! This trip was so memorable, thanks to the beautiful and thoughtfully designed space, which made every moment feel special. The cabin is cozy, comfortable in every room, and perfect for any couple looking to truly relax. Whether you're trying to spend time in downtown Moab, explore the breathtaking Arches National Park, or simply enjoy a private getaway, this is the perfect space! What the pictures don’t reveal is that the hot tub directly faces a stunning mountain peak, where we watched sunrises, sunsets, and snowfall throughout the week—an unforgettable experience! The cabin is a bit off the beaten path, but we had no trouble commuting with our sedan. I also really appreciated Kelly’s direct support before our stay, as road construction was affecting the paved route. The kitchenette is well-stocked, and we loved the towels set aside for hot tub use! Before even leaving, we were already checking summer dates.

Camping Cabin in Downtown Moab

MeredithRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We stayed for four nights with our two boys (3 and 7) who LOVED the cabin - bunk beds are a big hit with them! The grounds were also extremely kid friendly with horseshoes, playground, and pool. We also easily walked to the grocery store and many restaurants/shops downtown. Super easy location to access Arches NP and Canyonlands NP, as well as many amazing state parks. We were pleasantly surprised at how comfortabel the cabin was to stay in, though of course be advised there is no attached bathroom. It is very close to the cabins, though. The only disappointing thing is that I sent messages twice through AirBnB (once about needing a change in dates, once asking if I needed to bring linens) and they were simply never responded to even though they were sent well than 48 hours in advance, and the read receipt appeared. I also called an left a message with the phone number 24 hours before our stay and no one answered or called us back. HOWEVER - once we got there, everything was great!

Camping Cabin, Resort Amenities

ArmandoRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The cabin is exactly as it states. Nothing fancy at all, but a really welcome respite, especially during any weather events or the cold. It is advertised to have heat, but the unit we had only had AC. The staff, however, were incredibly. They immediately found us a small heater that worked perfectly. And they were incredibly helpful with literally EVERYTHING. They even went out of their way to get us a fire pit to rent. The staff were also incredibly helpful when the power for all of Moab went out. Made sure everyone in the cabins had extra blankets. The staff here were amazing and would 100% recommend this place to anyone going to Moab.
