Holiday rentals in Grote Berg

Sol Patch 1 was a great experience. This unit is at the end of a small residential area by Playa Jeremi and there were no other buildings to our north with the sea to the west and mountains to the east. Very private and peaceful. The outside deck was a great area to hang out in the morning and have coffee. The plunge pool was a great way to cool off and two chairs by the water overlooking the cliffs was a favorite at night to see the stars. Lisa provided a full document of places to visit and restaurants. We ordered from her private chef Sylvia who delivered dinner the night we arrived which the food was great and we were very tired from a full day of traveling. Joel, Lisa’s husband, was also very helpful and went out of his way to purchase a car windshield wiper for us since we realized that our rental car was missing the blade on the driver’s side! Unfortunately I accidentally rented the car not from the local company Lisa recommended. Don’t use BC Booking Cars Curacao.

Laura was an amazing host. Very kind, generous, and approachable. Her main goal was to make us feel at home and comfortable. Her hospitality was beyond outstanding. The views were gorgeous. We swam in the pool and ocean everyday. Lots of great snorkeling right there at Villa X or a short drive to several local beaches. There are some great local restaurants. Willemstad is a short 40 minute drive with great access to fishing charters and a fantastic cooking course suitable for all experience levels. There is no beating the peace and tranquility we experienced at Villa X. I’m going home from my first vacation where I actually feel “rested”.

The stay exceeded expectations. Location is basically unbeatable. The two large terraces allow for being in the sun or in the shade, and are directly overlooking the lagoon making it feel like you are almost on the beach when just hanging out at ’home’. And in a couple of minutes you’re at one of the island’s nicest beaches (with great snorkeling and a fantastic and affordable dive shop right there!). There are also many beautiful, natural beaches around Lagun, especially up north. The furniture and amenities are very nice and complete, making it clear that this is someone’s house, not just the cheapest and most basic stuff for a rental only. It’s perfect for two people. I would recommend future guests to do all their grocery shopping in Willemstad on their way to Lagun as there are no shops nearby, and restaurants in the area are quite expensive (and frankly, not that great). I would definitely return to this place if I were to go back to Curacao!

Villa Mathilda in Santa Cruz was the ideal choice. Nos stays for a full week. I went with my family, about 6 in total (2 adults and 4 children). I must point out that Curaçao has to get around by car. The house is located a bit far from Willemstad (30min), but close to exotic beaches and national parks. As for the house, it exceeded my expectations. I would 100% recommend it. The prepaid electricity payment system was easy to recharge at the Tera Korá gas station. We spent about $75 using the 3 air conditioners overnight all week. 5 minutes away is Playa Lagun where I recommend the restaurants Discovery and Bahia (book for dinner). Also is the Hofi Mango restaurant 2 minutes away for lunches. I toured almost the entire island and in 1 week I spent about $100 in fuel for a 7-seater vehicle. and remember that the city parking lots are paid. Close to the tourist center, I recommend the Pietermai.

This Airbnb blew us away. We weren’t expecting much ; but happened to be taken aback by how beautiful the unit and its surroundings were. There’s a lovely charm to this unit. It’s clean and literally has EVERYTHING you need. From tupperwares, spices, aluminum foil, bottle openers, ice cube trays, ice packs, sand toys for kids, a pool noodle, beach chairs and an umbrella.. etc. This place was hands down the best place we stayed at in Curaçao. Not to mention the INCREDIBLE beaches a few mins away by car and the breathtaking Lagun beach a few steps away.

We were very happy with our stay at the Shores. Our bottom floor apartment was the perfect location to the beach and the pool. The apartment was clean, comfortable and well stocked with towels, kitchen equipment and a great coffee maker. Lisette was a pleasure to work with. She was very responsive with our inquiries and very flexible with our check out. I highly recommend Lisette
