The space
Casa Nube is a boutique tropical villa perched in the peaceful hills above Samara, just minutes from beaches, cafés, restaurants and surf — yet surrounded by jungle, wildlife and cooling mountain breezes. Located within one of the world’s rare Blue Zones, this uniquely designed luxury villa offers the perfect balance of nature, comfort and style.
Set within 1.5 acres of private tropical landscape, Casa Nube (Cloud House) was designed to immerse you in Costa Rica’s natural beauty. Wake to the sounds of howler monkeys and tropical birds, watch mist drift through the hills during green season, and enjoy spectacular rainbow sunsets during dry season from nearly every bedroom and living space.
Wildlife sightings are part of daily life here — from toucans, hummingbirds and butterflies to monkeys, pizotes, armadillos and even the occasional ocelot.
The villa’s open design creates a seamless connection between indoors and outdoors. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors open onto spacious social living areas, thoughtfully created for families and friends to relax, dine and reconnect together.
At the heart of the home is a large open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge area with a handcrafted teak dining table seating up to 12 guests — perfect for long dinners, games nights or enjoying meals prepared by one of our recommended private chefs.
Casa Nube comfortably sleeps up to 10 guests across 5 beautifully designed bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms, making it ideal for extended families, groups of friends or multi-generational stays. The upstairs bedrooms enjoy breathtaking mountain and jungle views, connected by a striking outdoor staircase that has become one of the villa’s signature features.
Outside, guests can enjoy exclusive use of the large saltwater pool, outdoor lounge areas, BBQ, dining space and pool lighting for magical tropical evenings under the stars.
Families travelling with young children are welcome — we provide a complimentary pack n play and high chair for your convenience.
Our dedicated property manager is available before and during your stay to help arrange airport transfers, car hire, excursions, surf lessons, private chefs, babysitters and local experiences to make your stay effortless and unforgettable.

Guest access
Parking for up to 3 vehicles is located on the private driveway beside the pool area. From there, it’s a short walk of approximately 25 steps up to the villa entrance, with a gentle incline (please refer to exterior photos). Guests with limited mobility may require some assistance.
The journey up is well worth it — the elevated jungle views and cooling mountain breezes are part of what makes Casa Nube so special. 🌿🌥️
We’re always happy to assist with luggage on arrival where possible. If you are travelling with particularly heavy luggage or require additional assistance, please let us know in advance and we can help arrange a porter service for your convenience.

Parking is located on the private driveway beside the pool area, with approximately 25 steps leading up to the villa entrance on a gentle incline (please see exterior photos). Guests with limited mobility may require some assistance navigating the steps.

For maximum comfort during your stay and exploring the surrounding area, we recommend renting a 4x4 vehicle.
Please note that access to the upstairs bedrooms is via Casa Nube’s beautiful external sweeping staircase, designed to showcase the spectacular mountain and jungle views surrounding the villa. The upstairs bathroom features a privacy screen rather than a traditional door, allowing you to enjoy the breathtaking tropical mountain views while still maintaining privacy — a unique feature that many guests love.
At night, we recommend turning off the staircase lights when not in use, as tropical wildlife and insects are naturally attracted to light.
As with anywhere immersed in nature, insects and wildlife are part of the authentic Costa Rican experience — after all, we are guests in their habitat. 🦋🌴🌿⛅
