Family-friendly holiday rentals in Costa Rica

We really enjoyed our stay here, especially the outdoor area! The pool and the view of the volcano are wonderful. The house is as described, and Jason was extremely responsive and helpful.

Such a wonderful stay! The host was very nice and welcoming, making everything smooth and enjoyable. The highlight of the place is the incredible balcony—perfect for relaxing and taking in the stunning surroundings. The location is truly magical, surrounded by nature yet just a short distance from the center. A perfect balance of tranquility and convenience. Highly recommend!

If your travels take you to LaFortuna, you would be hard pressed to find a better place to stay. This place was awsome. As for as the location goes, you really can't get much better. VERY walkable to restaurants, shops, ect. VERY safe. The entire town is extremely safe and relaxed. The apartments appears to have been recently updated. All the appliances and furniture are in as-new condition. The master bed is VERY comfortable. The plunge pool and hot tub are great places to chill out and are also VERY private. Overall this is a fantastic apartment that is very well maintained and managed.

The stay was comfortable and met our needs. The location was convenient, and check-in was easy. Randal was very responsive.

Leon and Brigitte's place was beautiful! The room looked exactly like the pictures. They were both very friendly, and Bridgitt took the time to walk us through the property upon arrival. Everything was so clean, the AC worked perfectly, and the surroundings were stunning. They also had 3 very friendly dogs. They were so cute and gentle. In the morning, we were able to see the monkeys up in the trees! Location is great if you rent a car. About 20-30 min to Montezuma and about 8 minutes to Tambor beach. Overall great stay and if we visit this part of Costa Rica again we will be booking with them :)

Place was great, everything you need, clean and location is 10/10. Tom’s immediate communication makes it ten times easier. Love the place and service, always willing to help and solved!

Very nice and comfortable place to stay with an extra top open floor. The place had some surf boards. Kelly had left us a nice bottle of wine as well. Great place and wish we could stay there longer.

Beautiful place with a private beach entry! Could hear the waves all throughout the house. Jefferson is amazing! He went above and beyond to help us out and was available at any time. The true gem of this place is Jefferson!

The backyard was spectacular, the creek runs behind the property and has a private access to the creek. You could hear the water, so peaceful. I wish I stayed longer. It's away from the town and we loved that.

Absolutely incredible place to stay for a honeymoon :) we were there for just over a week, and we really loved our little home base. Jan was so helpful with recommendations and even booked our reservation for Manuel Antonio with her Costa Rican debit card since we couldn't do it ourselves. With as helpful as she was, she also gave us total privacy and communicated very effectively with us. I know the person before us mentioned insect issues, but we had no complaints whatsoever and were there for an extended period of time. We were able to see hummingbirds, scarlet macaws, lizards, and other varieties of birds which made just sitting by the pool a fun experience. The shading was perfect for the pool too. You could decide if you wanted to sit in the shade or the sun depending how you feel. The AC cools down the bedroom very fast when arriving home. The private driveway is convenient too. We loved our stay so much! We would certainly consider coming back if in town!

The Álvaro hut is small but quite comfortable, clean and with a well-equipped kitchen. It rained a lot and it was cold when we arrived, but there was a heater that worked very well. It is located in a location with access in less than 30 minutes to the Poás Volcano. Álvaro was super attentive and even took us some items at 6:30 in the morning that we needed to make breakfast.

Ideal location, right in the heart of everything in Tamarindo, you call it restaurants, beach, supermarket, coffee shops, gym… The apartment if extremely well kept, surroundings are beautiful. Alexander and Gabriela are very friendly and helpful. Very fast internet for digital nomads. I recommend it to the Airbnb community 100 %

Me and my 3 adult children in there 20’s stayed here and it was everything that the pictures show and better ! Outdoor living at its finest and we can’t wait to come back and stay here again! Air conditioning in each bedroom that gets very cold ! LOVED the pool ! Very clean for being outdoor living and I am very particular , but your in Costa Rica don’t go nit picking every nook and cranny you rented an Airbnb with outside living and it’s VERY CLEAN ! Upon arrival was left a bottle of wine , coffee and a pineapple:) Our host was very responsive and checked in regularly to make sure we didn’t need anything or if we needed any suggestions . You’re far enough away from town that we did not hear anything contrary to what some of the previous reviews said . This is a MUST STAY ! We loved it and were so sad to leave . We were here for 5 days and I do suggest renting a golf cart for your stay , soooo much fun and so much easier to get around it really made the trip ! Great Costa Rica Vibe

I went with my family and we loved it, the place is surrounded by nature, we saw many monkeys, pizotes, butterflies, hummingbirds, iguanas. The privacy and peace they had were incomparable, highly recommended!

Kimberly was a fantastic host and helped us get settled in after a long day of travel. The house was amazing and cozy. Everything was clean, worked, and the pool area was amazing as well. Lots of outlets as well. It’s also perfectly located between Quepos and the beaches. In addition to all of the above; the wildlife around the house was abundant and made for great entertainment while floating the afternoon away in the pool. Cant wait to return and stay longer. Perfect size for two couples or a family. Pura Vida and thanks for everything Kimberly!

Our family had the most wonderful time at Casa Palmas. Every expectation was met and exceeded. The beach was literally steps out your door. We loved the location and convenience of Casa Palmas. Surfing right outside your back door and only blocks down the street is a grocery store and many options to eat. We enjoyed the beach in the mornings and beautiful sunsets in the evening. The pool was especially nice during the hot afternoons where there was shade from the well maintained garden. The home was clean and welcoming with comfy beds for a peaceful nights rest. Casa Palmas has everything and then more! Nick’s communication was quick and so kind. I could go on and on about Casa Palmas but you really have to see it for yourself! Thank you, Nick for such a memorable stay and we hope to be back again!

There are not enough words to describe how much we enjoyed our stay. Everything was exactly as described. We had all the amenities we needed. The blender was great for making pool side drinks and all the kitchen appliances worked perfectly for us. We made breakfast every morning! Besides the great amenities, we enjoyed the beautiful landscape and privacy of this house. Listening to the birds every morning and spotting lizards was a highlight. The bedroom is closed off and locks securely at night but of course the rest of the house is open to all that nature offers. Be careful not to leave any food out overnight, some little creature will dig in. The bedroom is pretty small and hard to move around in especially with luggage but honestly this was not an issue because everything about this place was magical. 11/10 we would stay here again. We were very sad to leave!

We had a great stay at Lisandro’s place. The apartment was just as described, was clean and the bed was comfortable. There is just enough privacy from the other 3 units to feel at home. There staff on site during the day and daily housekeeping, that felt like a bonus. It was also really nice to have a pool. The unit is on the north side of town so you’d probably want to have a car or an atv to get around but you could survive without one. There are restaurants and a small grocery store within walking distance. The beach bar at the end of the street was awesome! Nice people and good food.

Jimmy’s place was perfect for our group! It was a very peaceful get away. The house was small but cozy and comfortable. The outside porch and small wading pool was relaxing. Tucked back into the woods a bit you could hear the sounds of the rainforest around you at all times. Jimmy was extremely responsive and helpful.

Nicks place is amazing! Fantastic, safe, quiet location within easy walk distance to town. Nick was quick to respond to my messages and gave me great local information for my stay. The house itself is more than I could ask for, with all the conveniences and comforts. Thanks again Nick!
