Down House Farm is within an area of outstanding natural beauty. You’ll love it here because of the cosiness with wood burning fireplaces and farmhouse kitchen. It is good for couples, families with or without kids, big groups, and we accept 1 dog per stay by prior arrangement. A real 'escape to the country'. 1 X King bedroom, 2 X Double bedrooms and 2 X twin bedrooms. Sleeps 10.

The space
The farmhouse is situated in the picturesque rural Devon countryside, enclosed with tranquil rolling hills and offering stunning walks both on the property and as an ideal base to explore the surrounding area. Down House Farm Devon is located in Longdown, Devon, EX6 7SA.

Approached via a long drive, the period property is situated in an elevated position within a working sheep farm with over 180 acres of pasture. The former farmhouse sleeps up to 10 people in five bedrooms with two separate bathrooms & 1 en-suite and is the perfect base for a relaxing holiday with family & friends.

There is a large modern kitchen-diner with expansive range cooker and adjoining utility area, as well as two reception rooms.


Outside of the property is a private garden area with bench seating and separate patio area. The Farmhouse is situated in an elevated position with views of Exeter city and breathtaking starry nights, and Dartmoor and the Teign Valley by day.

Walking is a must with tons of birds and local wildlife to spot during your visit, don’t forget to bring your wellies in the winter! We have suggested walking trails across 180 acres of our farm & woodland. Should you wish to bring your pet, a dog can be accepted by prior arrangement.

The farmhouse makes for a wonderful group stay with a relaxed family friendly feel. We have hosted reunions, birthdays, weddings, graduations and celebrations.
