With handcrafted design inspired by the English countryside and Victorian designers with the goal to create a welcoming and curated retreat for families, couples and solo explorers, whether it’s venturing into rural landscapes or discovering the diverse eateries and cafes Rye has to offer this self-catering property provides the perfect refuge to explore southern England.

The space
Nestled close to the heart of Rye Mosswood Cottage has been restored to a high standard featuring heritage touches and handcrafted decor. Creating a cosy space for families, friends, couples and solo adventurers.

The property provides a breadth of space for guests to relax including a lavishly equipped open-plan kitchen/dining room featuring a rustic wood burner and cooking essentials. To an upstairs bathroom which includes a spacious walk in shower and a downstairs WC. While each bedroom features 100% cotton linen and towels. The house also includes a uniquely furnished living room, reading-nook and outdoor courtyard.

Both bedrooms entwine our influence from the natural world with modern touches by crafting unique decor that pays homage to legacy designers. Creating two truly unique spaces that provide welcoming sanctuaries to decompress and recharge, ready for a day of discovering all that this unique part of Southern England has to offer.

From the luxury of our fully equipped kitchen featuring an American style fridge-freezer and multi-fuel gas and electric oven to the warm colours and hues littered throughout the living room. Each of these rooms provide the perfect refuge to cook an evening meal and unwind after a long day of exploring.

Conveniently located just a short walk from Rye’s travel hub it’s never been easier to escape into the surrounding countryside. Whether it’s exploring the local vineyards and woodlands, fruit picking at Tibbs farm or exploring Rye’s many historic streets and shops Mosswood Cottage provides the perfect bolt-hole to explore from!

Not only does Rye offer an eclectic mix of shops to stumble across but also unique restaurants, cafes and independent stores to browse through.

Whether you’re looking for a weekend of escaping into nature, new culinary experiences or unearthing Rye’s diverse history and surrounding attractions. Mosswood cottage provides the perfect bolt-hole to explore southern England!

Other things to note
• A blow-up bed is available for a fifth guest (additional fee's apply).

• We advise that the wood burner should only be used between the months of September and May to ensure the chimney draws properly (we are also able to provide logs for guests at an additional charge).

• Bed linen for the travel cot is something we do not provide.

• With each stay we include a collection of complementary items such as milk, bread, coffee and biscuits.

• During the festive season we decorate our house with unique Christmas themed decorations and furnishings. Many of which are hand-crafted by us.
