Breathe the calm at this unique and tranquil getaway on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds. Our modern cottage is the perfect countryside escape near to the historic market town of Louth. With open views of the Wolds, guests can enjoy a private garden and patio with access to a wider paddock containing a large wildlife pond, orchard and seasonal bulbs flowering throughout the year. An ideal base for walking, cycling and exploring the Wolds, coast, Cadwell Park and local food scene.

The space
Completed in 2025, this cabin-style cottage was built to take advantage of its beautiful situation overlooking the Lincolnshire Wolds. Tucked in a quiet pocket of land this is the perfect spot to relax whilst being just a stone's throw (20min walk) from the centre of historic Louth.

Through the front door, you'll step into our spacious, open-plan kitchen/dining/living room. The brand new kitchen is equipped with everything you'll need (hob, oven, kettle, microwave, toaster, fridge, freezer, dish washer, washing machine/dryer, and all the handy utensils) and the dining table comfortably seats 6 people. The cosy living area is the heart of the house: comfy sofas look out onto the gardens, paddock and Wolds beyond. When the weather's on side, open up the patio doors to transform the space for open air living. Under floor heating will keep you snuggly warm even when it's freezing though and we've popped a pair of binoculars on the shelf so you can always see what's going on (we've had some great kingfisher sightings and swallows frequent the pond in the summer).

The Stables is a single floor property with two spacious ensuite bedrooms. Enjoy a peaceful night in either of the king size beds and wake up to those views over the gardens. One ensuite has a bath with shower above and the other enjoys a walk-in shower.

For larger groups, The Stables can sleep 6 people using the double sofa-bed in the living room (please note: both bathrooms are ensuite so you'll have to share with someone).

The large gravelled parking area can be secured behind you with high double gates, meaning you're closed off to the world outside. Stepping onto the path, there are 3 patios on different levels in front of the property as well as newly planted flower beds. A sloping path to the front door means the property access is step-free. To the far side of the property is a large grassy area with a newly planted orchard.

Beyond the garden area is a fenced-off paddock ideal for outdoor games or dog-related fun! The wildlife/fishing pond is situated at the far end of the paddock; it is fenced off for safety but access can be requested by prior arrangement. Please bring your own equipment and release any catches back into their watery home. There is a dug-out fire pit area for relaxing around and enjoying some stargazing when the weather's good.

Guest access
The building and gardens will be entirely yours during your stay and you will have access to the paddock beyond. Let us know if you want us to unlock the pond area.

Other things to note
If your booking is for four people or less but you need use of the sofa-bed, please let us know in advance of your stay.

Due to the size of the grounds, occasional gardening work will need to be carried out. If this has to happen during your stay, we'll give you plenty of notice and it will never be outside of working hours. We'll stay out of your way but if you want a chat, please do!
