Family-friendly holiday rentals in Haarlem

The location was great, walking distance to trains and trams to get to the heart of Amsterdam. Far enough away to be quiet for nights in. Nancy was very communicative even though she was on holiday. Easy parking if you drive in and plenty of space for 5, especially if someone doesn’t mind the couch. Would be great for 3 couples. Amazing showers 😁

Fred and Kelly’s place is absolutely wonderful. We stayed because the price was better and there was a little more room than many places directly in the city. Though we looked forward to it, we didn’t expect to fall in love with it…and we did! Staying outside of the city is pretty great. It’s a 10ish minute walk to the train station, and then an easy navigation to wherever you need to go. We didn’t mind the “commute” a bit, and it was nice to start off and wind down in a quieter setting. The place itself is well kept, clean, and cozy. The beds were comfortable and the shower was hot with good pressure. We enjoyed casting Netflix on the TV with the fireplace on in the evenings, and we spent a couple of mornings in the garden. We booked this spot our entire stay, but also spent one night in Amsterdam to experience “city life,” and also spent one night in Utrecht. These were perfect additions to our home base plan. I’d definitely stay here again!

We were two for 2 nights there. The reception was very warm and friendly. The bikes available were a great way to go for a cozy evening lap or to be able to shop in less than 20 minutes. With our car, we drove to Zandvoort to the sea in just under 1 hour. It was incredibly relaxing and the area is very nice.

Our team of 6 people, business travel after one night, 1, the owner of the house proactively communicated to confirm the arrival time, it was planned to arrive at 8:30, the actual arrival was 9:30 -10, with 1 hour notice, the host was very patient; 2, There is a tree house and a swing in the house; 3. Easy parking🅿️; 4. Surrounded by 2.5km sea and beach, there are shells on the beach🐚, which is suitable for walking to see the beach🏖️;

We had a wonderful holiday in Moniek’s beautiful house. We were so comfortable and relaxed as Moniek provided everything we could need. There were lots of lovely, stylish extras in her house too that made our stay feel special. The neighbourhood is great; quiet, peaceful and full of beautiful views of boats, beaches parks, nature and water. Yet there is also loads to do with teenagers, being so close to Amsterdam, Ajax and Delft. Almere is the perfect place to explore by cycling. The week went so quickly. Moniek was very helpful in giving useful and detailed info and in answering questions quickly. I would 100% highly recommend this AirBnB to others.

Wonderfull house. Supermarkets close by (5 minutes by car). Well equipped kitchen great living room and bedrooms. We used the sunny terrace a lot for breakfast and dinner. We would definitely rent the house again.

We stayed at Trevor’s for several months. During our stay Trevor was an excellent host, answering our questions quickly. The house was well equipped with all the essentials. The location is perfect, walking distance to the train station and a beautiful view of the canal.

Perfect location, unique way to stay in the city. Would highly recommend. Very different experience, of course, than a home or hotel but this makes travel more fun. Being right on the "skinny" bridge was a fantastic experience. Great for people watching or just quickly being right in the middle of everything.

I spent some lovely days at Siennie's place with my dog. The check-in and check-out were uncomplicated, there is a parking space directly at the house. The place was clean and there was everything you need. Shopping and restaurants are within walking distance. The highlight was of course the beach within walking distance. Unfortunately, you only learn on site that dogs are not allowed to go to bed on the sofa or with them. It would have been nice to get this information before booking. Other than that, everything else was perfect, and I felt very comfortable at the place.

Patries and Mike are phenomenal hosts and good-hearted people - both to their guests and their animals on the farm. The love for their farm can be felt immediately and the atmosphere is unique. Great tips and recommendations that they give for a wonderful stay. Both us and our two dogs felt incredibly welcome. We would come back anytime.

This is our third time staying at Tine’s cottage over the past nearly ten years. It feels like a home away from home. We love Tine and she treats everyone like family. In case you don’t know already, this cottage sits on a quiet street, with its own private parking, entrance, and privacy. It is a very short walk into the backside of Zaanse Schans by the Windmills. You can borrow one of Tine’s many bicycles or simply walk the flat peaceful lanes into the open air park and experience clogs making, cheesemaking, stroopwafels, historic homes and neighborhoods well preserved, shops and gifts, a museum, and the most beautiful intact and functioning windmills you’ll find anywhere in the area - plus much more. It’s only 7-8 minutes to the Zaanse Schans train station and a straight shot in 15 minutes on the train to Centraal Station. Also very easy to get to Keukenhof via train, car, bus, etc. Grocery stores and restaurants close by. Our favorite spot out of all we’ve stayed at in Holland!

We stayed for a couple of days while visiting Amsterdam and Leiden - it was fantastic for the train and a real quiet cosy little place Kitty was a lovely host, she sent the most comprehensive directions I’ve ever gotten to find the place from the station and was super speedy to respond. Thanks for having us 😊

We had a wonderful stay at the accommodation in Zandvoort. The apartment was exactly as described and in the photos – clean, cozy and very welcoming. We felt comfortable right from the beginning. The location is just perfect – close to the beach, town and yet quiet. Annette was a great host: very friendly, easily accessible and with great tips for the area. We will definitely be happy to come back!

Cozy property, fully equipped kitchen, outdoor activities for children including trampoline and swing. The landlord showed us the pigs and let the kids come in and pet them and feed them, the kids really enjoyed it. Area close to tourist attractions, view from window to nearby windmills. We had a pleasant and comfortable time.

Great host, Nice point of contact, lots of materials available, shampoo, and cafepads and beach toys. Great for children, except for the stairs you have to be careful. We felt very comfortable. Nearby walking distance. Whether shopping, beach or dunes. What more could you ask for? Thank you so much for our short vacation trip at your place. 🙂

We had the most wonderful stay in this charming cabin nestled on the property of a windmill in Alkmaar. From the moment we arrived, our hosts Kelly and Han made us feel completely at home. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect—so kind, welcoming, and full of great local tips. The cabin itself is a dream—coziness taken to the next level. Every detail was thoughtfully put together, and it was the perfect place to unwind to relax. Waking up next to a windmill felt like something out of a fairytale. Alkmaar itself is a beautiful village full of history, with adorable shops and restaurants to explore. The charming canals add to the magical atmosphere, and it’s easy to hop on a train to Amsterdam for a day trip. We’re already dreaming of our return and feel so lucky to have made such lovely new friends in Kelly and Han. Highly recommend this magical spot to anyone visiting The Netherlands!

We enjoyed our stay at Wendela's. We were warmly welcomed. The "Rosenhäuschen" was exactly what we had imagined. It was our home away from home. And we'll be back for sure.

I felt very comfortable in the beautifully decorated car. Also because it was something different. The welcome by Jose' was very friendly. I'd love to come back.

Our stay at Marcels cottage was brilliant! He welcomed us upon arrival, introduced us to his family, showed us around the cottage, explained how to unlock the electric gates and swimming pool cover. The cottage is within the grounds of Marcels house but provided enough privacy for both of us. Marcel is a very easy going person, friendly and accommodating. He was always there when we needed him but never impinged upon our privacy. We were on a cycling holiday on our own road bikes and not once did we fear our bikes would be stolen from the garden. Vicky my wife is a keen swimmer and there was never a time when it was a problem for her to use the pool. We loved the accommodation and the atmosphere Marcel provided. Of all the Airbnb we have stayed at this is by far the best. Thoroughly recommend. We will definitely come back 😀

Had a lovely weekend in this spacious home. All amenities are available. Also enjoyed the infrared sauna.

Such a beautiful, calm location. Fairly easy to get around and into Amsterdam and nearby towns, lovely base location and wonderful to come home to waterfront views and her beautiful gardens after a busy day. Clean, quiet and cozy, couldn’t ask for more! Magdalena and her husband are both very sweet. Lots of children’s toys and games which our kids loved. The stairs are quite narrow so might be something to lookout for with toddlers or younger children. She also served us a lovely breakfast which was great to start our days of exploring.

My husband and I went on vacation during our 14-day stay, but also partly worked. The work worked really well with the Wi-Fi, also a desk was available in the third bedroom. But the house was also very suitable for the holiday. Everything was very well equipped, there was nothing missing. Beds are very comfortable and bathrooms modernly equipped. In the evening we turned on the fireplace more often, very comfortable. To the stone you could walk well and also make great excursions in the area with the bikes. Elvi was easily accessible and very helpful. The place is really recommended, with or without children.

Great place. Really quiet when we were there, felt right at home, many beautiful touches on the boat. Location was great too, bus few minutes away, also walkable if you fancy.
