Holiday rentals in Hali-ela

Our family had a wonderful stay at this villa! The view was absolutely breathtaking and provided the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. The staff were amazing—always attentive, friendly, and responsive to all our requests, including accommodating the needs of our toddler, which we greatly appreciated. A standout feature of our stay was the amazing cocktails! They were expertly crafted and added a special touch to our evenings as we enjoyed the stunning scenery. Additionally, the staff guided us to a beautiful local waterfall, where we had a fantastic time exploring and enjoying nature. It was a memorable highlight of our trip. The only area for improvement is the food. While it was decent, we’d love to see more fresh vegetables included in the menu to enhance the dining experience. Overall, it was a delightful stay, and we’d definitely recommend this villa for anyone looking for a peaceful and scenic retreat with top-notch hospitality, and opportunities to explore local beauty

Just incredible! We kept extending our stay! This is an absolute hidden gem of a place with views to die for. The cabin is so beautiful with huge windows and lovely character. The bed is so comfortable too. We had three very friendly dogs keep us company and the neighbours cat! Watching the storms from the upstairs window was incredible and seeing fireflies in the trees was so magical! Sidhu kindly ordered us local breakfast from town each morning and had it delivered to us. He is the most helpful host and always responds quickly. He really goes out of his way to help you and messages to check you’re ok and if you need anything each day. The cabin is truly a place to relax, unwind and you can spend so much time just staring at the view and watching the wildlife (birds, monkeys, frogs!) I would love to return someday. Had a great stay. It’s a property with a gate hard to spot but it’s there 😊. The property is close to both the railway station and also to the Main Street so easy to find places to eat. The master bedroom toilet seat etc could be changed and interiors upgraded to give a brighter look, but as we stayed there only two days and spent most of it outside, no complaints.

Our stay at the Treehouse in Ella was truly a one-of-a-kind experience. The place is made entirely of wood and gives you that authentic treehouse feel - it’s cozy, rustic, and perfect if you’re looking for something unique. It’s about a 7-minute ride to the main happening spots in Ella, and the hosts can easily arrange tuk-tuks for you. The views from the treehouse are absolutely magical, especially when the mist rolls in and covers the mountain tops. You can even spot the train passing by in the distance, which adds to the charm. That said, there were a few things that could be improved. The bathroom didn’t have a jet spray and the door couldn’t be locked, which was a bit inconvenient. There were also no curtains on the front glass door, which compromised a bit on privacy. Still, the charm and uniqueness of this place made it worth it - it felt like a peaceful escape surrounded by nature. Definitely a stay to remember!

Bola was an amazing host at the Villa. He sent a driver to pick us up when we arrived and made us dinner at the villa! He gave us some helpful tips, was very attentive, and even drove us to our next destination. I will definitely stay here if I return to Ella! 10/10 recommendation:)

Es war super, die Inhaber sind sehr nett zu mir gewesen, die Unterkunft liegt in einem Paradies aus Pflanzen und die Aussicht ist Wahnsinn. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker, man hat sich wie zuhause gefühlt.

Wunderschöne Unterkunft in toller Lage mit den hilfsbereitesten und herzlichsten Hosts! Die Unterkunft ist liebevoll gestaltet und man hat einen schönen Blick ins Grüne. Die Hosts haben uns wertvolle Tipps für Unternehmungen in der Umgebung gegegeben. Die Hosts sind hervorragende Köche konnten in der Unterkunft ein sehr sehr leckeres Frühstück und Abendessen zu uns nehmen. Dieser Aufenthalt war ein absolutes Highlight auf unserer Sri Lanka Reise und wir können die Unterkunft nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Home away from home ! A family home built to showcase Sri Lankan ancient architecture provided with all the luxury you are looking for a very comfortable stay ! All the rooms and other areas are very spacious. Cleanliness is maintained to the highest standards. Communication with the host is very easy. Delicious food prepared by the caretakekers (two lovely mothers) was so nice. Our group will remember the motherly care offered by the caretakers with all the fond memories of Badulla. We will recommend this place for groups looking for peaceful, comfortable, safe and lovely accommodation in Badulla. Marina Primali

Arawe Retreat is simply fantastic. From the beautifully appointed accommodation, to the attentive yet relaxed staff, to the tastiest food in Ella. We really had the best time here. Just a short Tuk Tuk from the busy centre of Ella, Arawe retreat provided an oasis of nature focused calm which was hard to leave. Ishanka and his team really have got things just right by creating the retreat around the existing nature and enhancing it. The wildlife noise at night is really something to behold and helps you drift off into relaxed tropical dreams. Huge thanks to Ishanka, Chaggar, Suren and Dashan. You really made this visit memorable and also a special thanks to Banda and Manike. We hope to get the chance to visit again x
