Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Harbour Island

The “View” was nothing short of fitting for these accommodations. It was breathtaking and put you in tune with nature. The perfect getaway from city life with only a few minutes away from the basic necessities.

Location: My family and I had a good experience. For a non -beachfront property, the location is great. Arguably the best beach location we experienced on the island. The home also has plenty of items you would need for the beach. Facilities: May not be what you’re looking for if you’re expecting Ritz-Carltonesque facilities, but if you’re open-minded and understand how island life can be, you will you enjoy it just as much as we did. Read the home’s description and all reviews before booking to manage your expectations as they are all ‘somewhat’ relevant. Contacts: Tim provides contacts to communicate with in case something is needed (we didn’t). Housekeeper came by to check on us a few times. Tim also reached out to us a few times before and during the stay. Very communicative.

At short notice, we needed a place to stay and Tim responded quickly and sorted us out immediately. We got there and were greeted by the amazing Kendrick and just felt so at home immediately. Cannot recommend this place highly enough and appreciate the support of Tim and his crew!

We loved Eleuthera Escape, Kiwi House, Gaulding Cay, and our hosts!!! It was so nice to disconnect, walk on the beach, and watch the beautiful, calm water. We loved the open air design of Kiwi house. It was so serene. The house had everything we needed, and the location made for easy day trips to Harbour Island, Spanish Wells, and Governor’s Harbour.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Tui house/Eleuthera Escape. Gaulding Cay, easily one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, is just a short walk away and June and Dave offer the use of their kayaks, paddle boards, beach chairs, and beach toys. They also provide plenty of lovely oversized beach towels. The beds were perfect. June is an incredibly responsive host and promptly addressed any issue or need that arose. From anything we needed for the kitchen to cooler bags for day trips or games to play on a rainy day, she was happy to oblige. A few things to be aware of in the house: the main living area is screened in and the bedrooms and kitchen are attached. With that, it can get a little hot or cold depending on the time of day. The main living area also only had a screen door that can be locked from the inside, but the kitchen and two of the bedrooms had master keys. This was an adjustment for us, but we always felt safe. We would absolutely recommend Eleuthera Escape!

As frequent travelers my wife and I have the opportunity to stay all over. This is the first place that I actively want to return too. The place is a cute cottage overlooking a postcard. The water is perfect and clear and this makes the perfect home base for exploring. There is a car available along with the rental that I would highly encourage you to make use of. The thing that struck us most and had my wife's head down in a book the entire time are the guest books that come along with the rental. These tell a wonderful 25 year history of both the rental, Scott and the Island as well. To have had the chance to spend a few days in a house that has had such a profound impact on so many lives puts us in great company. Do yourself the favor of giving in to the house and the Island, you too will want to return.

Sunset Cove was a delightful place to stay. The house is simple and comfortable-- not overly fancy, but quiet, peaceful, simple and well-situated. Two bedrooms in the main house and one in the cottage - it can sleep six but was comfortable and spacious for 3 adults. The location is terrific-- 10 minutes or less by golf cart to shops, excellent restaurants and the ferry to the airport and North Eleuthera. You can swim off the dock. There is an advantage to being on the west side of Harbour Island-- less wind, protected swimming, and the pink sand beach is just a few minutes away. We decided to stay close to town on Harbour Island for proximity to restaurants and that was a good call. Shawne was an excellent host. Despite being busy with work, he was exceptionally generous to us with his time, suggestions and solutions (including cracking a safe that wouldn't open!). We made a new friend in the Bahamas and would definitely go back if we had the chance.

The outside space is beyond beautiful!! We spent each morning watching the sunrise and were visited by turtles nearly every morning. On calm days we snorkeled right off the dock and saw numerous types of fish, crabs and starfish. We had great adventures exploring the island and would always come back to watch the sunsets which are spectacular! Cody has floats, snorkel gear, beach chairs...basically anything you could need to enjoy the island. The beds are very comfortable and so are all the extra pillows. The kitchen is well stocked including some spices and condiments. We packed some food from home and were happy we did. This is a very special place and we are so grateful for our time spent at Cody's place.

3 Little Birds is a great spot on Harbour Island. Walking distance or golf cart ride to the public access point of the Pink Sand Beach. Beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels are all at the house to use. The porch area is a great place to have morning coffee or a full meal with the outdoor kitchen. Tim was very helpful as we got close to the trip and continued to check in with us during our stay to make sure we found everything we needed. Hopefully we will be back next year for another great stay.

I wish I could rate Jessica and Watercolor low to keep them to myself, but that is impossible. Best house, best location, best host - we had an amazing time and Jessica's assistance and input, no matter the question or concern, always steered us in the best direction. We could not have asked for a better experience on our first trip to the Bahamas - and Watercolor will be our first choice for all future visits, of which there will be many, I am sure.

This was our second visit to Coral Cottage, and it was even better than the first! We truly love it here. This cozy house is located very conveniently, has a lovely back patio, has roosters and chickens to greet the day, and every amenity you need in the kitchen to cook every night as a family. We used the beach chairs, towels, toys, and umbrellas every day. We took lovely morning and evening walks to the nearby marinas to gaze at superyachts, fascinating creatures, haunted houses (at Briland Club), and the gorgeous turquoise sea. There is building and construction everywhere on the island at the moment (including next door), but these developments posed no problems to us at all. Kathy and team were responsive, thoughtful, and helpful. This cottage is very good value for the island, and we are definitely going to try to return next year! Thanks, Kathy!
