This might be the most quaint location ever - a beautiful old stone farming village! The house was tidy and comfortable. Would 100% recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay. It was a surprise gift for my partner's 30th birthday. Jean-Michel was lovely, responsive and helped us with any queries we had really quickly. We booked this place at the last minute for one night before a hike, and it went very well. Marcel was very welcoming and responsive, which made our arrival simple and enjoyable. The decor is a little old, but the bathroom has been redone and the place is tidy. The exterior is particularly well maintained, which adds to the charm of the place. Good location for a comfortable break!

I am used to staying in Airbnp in France and Switzerland and I was usually satisfied but now I have to say that this one is really exceptional! We were a group of 8 and all really enjoyed it. It is a modern, warm, friendly and soothing place and everything is perfectly clean. The services are very high standard, the trendy decor is sober and refined, everything is neat and meticulously thought out, each room is spacious; the bedding is very comfortable; the high-end technical equipment in each room. The large glass window of the living room offers a beautiful view of a large lot with beautiful trees with a large terrace arranged on one level. The host's welcome was extremely warm as well as all the exchanges we had.! Really the BEST of the BEST!

Very good welcome from our hosts, we had a pleasant, quiet, peaceful stay with a more than functional, clean cottage. Lots of thoughtful touches from our hosts. A guaranteed change of scenery in the heart of nature. I would recommend this place for a relaxing weekend or more!! Thanks!

Sophie (and Craig!) were wonderful hosts and made us feel at home straight away. Given how cold it was they made sure the log burner was lit and going before we arrived, and provided a lovely hamper for breakfast. The setting is idyllic and we enjoyed seeing all the wildlife around us. At this time of year there isn’t a massive amount of stuff going on, but can def see the appeal of the pool and the nearby lakes once the temperatures start to rise! Would happily revisit in the future 🙂

The house is very nice, very well-equipped. We had a lovely quiet stay. Nearby tours, hikes are nearby. Rebecca has always been responsive to our questions.

We stayed for two weeks it was wonderful a real home from home. Howard and Shirley made us feel so welcome and shared their excellent knowledge of the area. We found everything to hand and thoroughly enjoyed the pool. Definitely recommend family days at the Grand Etang, croissant and baguette from the village boulangarie and evening drinks in the Cafe Brocante in the village. Will definitely pop it on our list to return, many thanks to our lovely hosts

Excellent stay in a large and beautiful quiet house. The pool was really nice during these scorching days. Nicolas is a very friendly and responsive host.

cottage surper beautiful for lovers of wood deco. warm solid parquet flooring. beautiful renovation. very comfortable wood stove heating. well equipped ( washing machine) accommodation taken in March. I think I'll take it back on sunny days to enjoy the pool.

We chose Janine and Mario’s cottage for our 4 week stay as we didn’t know the area and thought we’d like to try Limousin. We chose Janailhac only because it has a depot de pain and a small bar restaurant (both very welcoming)! In reality it far exceeded our hopes. Janine and Mario are great, friendly, kind and supportive hosts who are determined to give their visitors the best possible stay. They provided lots of helpful information about the many interesting and historic villages and restaurants and markets largely within a 25 mile radius so plenty of places to visit. Janailhac is a tiny, pretty, friendly farming village of beautiful rolling fields (and a SuperU at 4 miles). Quiet nights and clean air meant we slept better than in years. The cottage is large and comfortable with a pellet boiler heating system so we were never chilly plus a large open fire place and 2 great hot showers. Well stocked for children with toys, high chair, cot and even a buggy. Highly recommended!

Great house for 2 families, perfect for what we wanted. Lots of seating areas, kitchen was really well equipped. Pool and hot tub awesome. Nearby lake is good for beach and water sports. Hosts were great and gave good recommendation for a food festival in a nearby town. The house is in a very peaceful location, surrounded by countryside, which was great most of the time but if you want restaurants or activities it’s a drive. I would recommend the house though as it’s really well set up for a week with friends or family.

Beautiful home in a wooded quiet area. Beautiful enclosed garden. Our dog really enjoyed it here and so did we! Louise is very sweet to animals and friendly and hospitable to people. Upon arrival there were snacks for our dog and a surprise for us! Top location!

Spacious, well equipped and well-maintained home. Large fenced garden ideal when you have dogs. Sawmill nearby that generates some background noises but at this time of year it was not an inconvenience. We really enjoyed our stay.
