Our group of five couples stayed here for a weekend reunion and this large house was ideal for our needs. The large kitchen was really well equipped for prep, cooking and eating (although everything initially took a some finding as there are so many cupboards!) and the two tables together made a great eating area. The main sitting room is huge and everyone felt the bedrooms were comfortable. We didn't use the garden at all, it was small relative to the size of the house but there are plenty of lanes and paths locally to walk on. We found plenty to do and a choice of places to eat within driving distance we managed to fit 5 cars into the parking area although it was a tight squeeze. Anjala was quick to respond to our only query during the weekend and overall, we'd have no hesitation about recommending this property for a weekend stay for a large group.

Lovely weekend spent exploring Oxford by staying here. Just out of the city centre but walkable and easy access to get into the centre. Responsive to messages, we didn’t ask for any specific recommendations but the house could do with some new up to date local leaflets to give some inspiration. Just a minor thing that would improve the experience.

We were a family party with ages from 5 to 75 . Lots for everyone to do ( swimming , tennis, billiards/snooker & beautiful walks all there) There was enough space both inside the wonderfully converted barn and outside in the extensive grounds to enjoy each others company without being overcrowded. Thanks Sarah for enabling a lovely weekend .

I enjoyed my stay in Francesca's very much. Francesca is a friendly and helpful host. I felt I would be able to contact her if I had any problems. The flat is attractive and spacious, with lovely art works, and had everything I needed. I felt at home there.

Great experience staying at Umu’s place! Very clean, good communication with the host. She even left some food and spices, which is highly appreciated. Neighbours and the neighbourhood is very quiet. Recommend!

This place is in a beautiful, quiet, safe neighborhood. We love to stroll in the surrounding area. Lots of green grass and blooming flowers. An ideal place to stay for a person that loves nature.

We loved the great communication from Jeremy and the amazing location of the flat, within walking location to many points of interest! We also really appreciated being able to check in early. The flat was well stocked and clean. It was a bit tight for three people but workable and it had everything we needed.

I had an outstanding stay at Steve's! The accommodations were clean and well-equipped. The host was incredibly welcoming and responsive. The location was perfect for exploring the area, with shops and attractions just a short walk away. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway to Oxford!

The perfect apartment for our stay - spotlessly clean and in good condition, with everything we could have needed. The neighbourhood was quiet and the parking was very easy and secure. Oxford’s city centre was easily walkable and there were plenty of great places to eat nearby and a well-stocked Co-Op just across the road. Lisa and Norman were great hosts, always promptly responding to messages, and the check-in and out process couldn’t have been easier.

The flat was perfect four our family of four (kids 8 and 11) and we felt right at home. The dining/living room area was much larger than we had imagined from the photos, and there was so much natural light coming into the rooms. The kitchen was fully and efficiently stocked in a way that made making meals in the evening very easy. Starter foods like milk, eggs, and fruit were an above-and-beyond gesture that made our arrival so much easier. The books, games, and activities were also a plus for our kids. We are so grateful to have found this gem of a place. Vanessa was a friendly and responsive host. We plan to return next year and hope to be able to come and return to this lovely place!

This is a great Airbnb - clean, well decorated. It had everything we needed for a weekend in Oxford as a family. It's very close to the centre but in a quiet area. The host is friendly and very helpful.

It looked like the photos and was comfortable, clean, with everything we needed. Outside space was lovely and enabled us to sit outside and enjoy the weather, and the beautiful blossom tree nearby........It was a lovely visit

I had a truly wonderful stay at The Old Doctor's Retreat — this was everything I hope for in an Airbnb. It was great to stay at Greg’s place for a second time. AirBnB is as described. Greg is a great, friendly host who is very responsive to any questions or queries we had. We let him know one of the radiators did not work and he immediately brought over an electric heater. Highly recommend his place!
