This old-fashioned diner, owned by a single mom, serves hearty meals that last all day. Their eggs Benedict, with fresh spinach, avocado, and homemade skillet potatoes, is a standout. Watching “CoCo” cook—his energy is unmatched—is an experience! Get there early; we went twice, and it was packed. Consider contributing to The Local Joint’s “pay it forward” option. A $10 donation covers a meal for someone in need. This region of North Carolina was severely impacted by Hurricane Helene. The destruction is heartbreaking, but the community is rebuilding. Many businesses and walking trails remain closed, so keep that in mind.

We were headed back to Charleston and a storm came in, so we booked the cottage last minute. We booked at 3:30 and we were all set to go in by 4pm. Every message was very clear and we were so absolutely excited to see such a gorgeous place after our experience the days before at a place an hour or so away. The hot tub was amazing. I couldn’t believe the amount of birds as I sat with my coffee on the giant swing in the front porch. We will be back to enjoy this space and Brevard very soon. Caleb's place is absolutely stunning! The amenities are draw you in but the interior of the home is just as welcoming. Every room is cozy and the home is well-appointed. Communication was easy and timely. There were no shortage of recommendations and the location was perfect.

My boyfriend and I loved staying at this cottage! We took a couples trip to visit Asheville and support the community after the hurricane, and we loved every minute of it! The place was beautiful and private and we felt right at home! The hot tub was definitely a favorite for us!!!! We would absolutely stay again!

We enjoyed our time in Hendersonville and this sweet cozy home made that possible! The home interior was very cute and comfortable. The hosts did a wonderful job with all the little details and thoughtful touches such as dog blankets and a welcome basket. I’ve never went on a trip and not had to contact a host with a question or two but these hosts made everything so easy! Not to mention the house was spotless. Would happily stay here again!

We’ve stayed at a couple of Airbnbs in Asheville and this one was our favorite! The layout of the house was perfect and we loved all of the outdoor spaces. The expansive back porch, huge yard for soccer, and corner hot tub were favorites for the whole family. The beds were so comfortable that we had a hard time getting out of them in the morning. Our bulldog loved the yard, fenced back porch, and wooded area. Jon was so communicative and had wonderful restaurant recommendations. We hope to come back soon for another stay!

We loved our stay at the cottage! Very comfortable, clean, and peaceful. We had plenty of towels, blankets, pillows, etc. the hot tub was easy to use. The shower had great water pressure and a nice size tub. The fireplace was really great in the living room. Overall a great stay! I wish there was a way to know a little about the history of the home.

We enjoyed our stay with our 2 dogs! The cottage was very comfortable and had a well-equipped kitchen with everything we needed.. including coffee and tea! The beds were comfortable and the open living room was perfect. We loved the seating on the deck, and the fenced-in backyard overlooking a creek was perfect for our dogs. Location was great with a short drive into Asheville. Our dogs especially loved the visits from the cows next door!! Hope to return soon!!

We were in town for a wedding and had looked for a place near the venue. We were an easy 10 minutes away. While still being a peaceful and private location, we were near main streets. As soon as we arrived, we felt right at home. Everything was cozy and we didn’t lack for anything. The outdoor space was serene and beautiful. We certainly hope to visit again soon!

We love Woodfin- this house is located right next to a coffee spot and some great BBQ. Our favorite spot was the huge screened in porch

We had a wonderful time celebrating my fiancés birthday in Saluda as well as staying at Karen and Katie’s place. It’s an absolute adorable house that was perfect for the two of us and our service dog. Location was peaceful and exactly what we were looking for! Would definitely go back!

Felt like home! This was our second time staying here (my sister and me with two pups), and we've loved it both times. The place is clean, has everything you'd need, and it's comfortable - just like home! Debbie is also very responsive and helpful. We were able to easily get to Pisgah national forest for hiking and to downtown Brevard for some breweries. We plan on going here on repeat. We've found the perfect home away from home!

Beautiful home—we enjoyed our stay very much. Francis was friendly and so helpful! We brought our son and two furry four legged daughters who loved the grounds! Delightful stay! Went to Asheville for business and stayed at this lovely cottage in nearby Candler. This pristine one bedroom unit, (with fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer and gas fireplace), is located in a rural setting a short drive from Asheville. Ate at nearby Hungry Bear Cafe, (a great diner serving breakfast and lunch) as well as at the Waffle House. Ordered delivery twice from El Paraiso Mexican Grill and once from Galactic Pizza. We stayed in the Gala Getaway cottage and it was wonderful! The description given by Jennifer was spot on. The cottage is extremely private and clean. Next time we visit the area we definitely hope that the cottage is available as it is close to everything. It is convenient to access downtown Hendersonville, wineries and several apple orchards . It is minutes from highway 26 while providing a quiet peaceful setting. We recommend it to anyone visiting the area

Perfect location to visit our son at college. It is the perfect size and walkable to restaurants and coffee shops in a beautiful small town. We enjoyed our visit and will book again in the future.

Everything was wonderful, big and comfy bedrooms. Clean bathrooms, quiet area to relax on the deck. Beautiful scenery off the back deck with wild life all over. Pool table and foosball table are fun. We’ll definitely stay again!

The Host was always responsive and was willing to block off the next couple of days after the last day of our stay just in case we needed to extend. We appreciate the flexibility that our host showed. We would certainly consider this house again.
