Háafell Lodge

Welcome to Háafell Farm where we raise sheep, keep horses and have one friendly dog. Our private guest house is located 200 meters above the farm, up the mountain at 130 meters above sea level. It is a recently built (2020), 100 square meter, modern “turf house style” house. Háafell means “The High Mountain” and has a long river that cascades down its side with several tiers of waterfalls. It is a five minute walk to our canyon and it is possible to take a cold bath in one of the waterfalls.

Spacious yet cozy 93 square meters cottage located at the edge of the Snæfellsnesjökull national park. The cottage is beautifully decorated and well equipped. Me and my wife fell in love with the un-earthly beauty of the Snæfellsnes peninsula and especially the area around the glacier and simply had to own our own getaway at this magical place which was voted the #1 place to visit in the wintertime (travelandleisure), and amongst Europe's 25 most interesting villages (Business Insider)

Beautiful ocean view at Stóri-Kambur, Snæfellsnes

We offer you to come and stay with us on our horse farm in our lovely cottage with a breathtaking view of the mountains and the ocean. Very good location to stay while exploring the Snæfellsnes peninsula. We are only a few minutes driving time away from many nice and beautiful places to visit such as Arnarstapi, Hellnar, and the National park Snæfellsjökull, Rauðfeldsgjá ravine, Búðir, and Bjarnarfoss waterfall. There are horse riding tours available on the premises during summertime.

We do recommend guests to book 2 nights at Nónsteinn. There are so many places to explore and enjoy during the day and afterwards relax and enjoy the view. Kirkjufell - Kirkjufellsfoss - Snæfellsjökull - Water cave - lava fields - black beaches - bird life - whale watching - Mountain view - northern lights - sunset, quietness, wonderful restaurants and so much more that you can experience here or near by. Rustic Cabin is a micro apartment connected to our farmhouse. Privately owned small house next to the Atlantic Ocean with great view over the mountains. A Perfect location to see the Northern Lights during the wintertime (if conditions are optimal). The house is small, welcoming and cozy with sun deck and a grate view. It nests in a spacious garden near the sea and the harbor of the small fishing village of Bolungarvík witch is surrounded by mountains on three sides. The house is on 2 floors, on the ground floor there is a open kitchen, living room with a sofa and a bathroom with a shower. The second floor is a sleeping loft with 1 double bed, a travel crib is available op on request.

Eyri seaside houses north, with great sea view.

Eyri seaside houses is a cozy, warm and brand new guesthouse with a great ocean view, located on our small horse farm. We are located at Hvammstangi but still super private and the only thing you see from the apartments are the ocean and landscape. There are a lot of birds at the beach and there is even a chance that you will see some seals. Every now and then we get some whales in the fjord but it has to be your lucky day to see them.
