Holiday rentals with lake access in Houston County

What an awesome place for a family vacation! My kids had a great time on the kayaks, we couldn’t get them off of the slide, even at night! Gene was so friendly and accommodating, he let me on a days notice change my reservation. He allowed our dogs (we weren’t going to bring them on our trip) it wasn’t a problem. My kids all said that this was their favorite place to go to within 2 hours of our home. We really enjoyed our stay and appreciate how understanding and friendly gene and his wife were with our reservations. Would love to stay again! There is so much to do, we spent most of our time in the kayaks and paddle boats fishing with our kids. He even allowed my sister to visit us during the day with her daughter. Really such a nice family!

Great spot on the lake can sleep 7 all having own beds. Good spot for a lake weekend.

This was our third trip back, and hopefully not our last. The house and property are perfect for a quiet getaway in the country. Our two young boys spent every minute fishing (and catching), playing in the woods, collecting firewood, building forts, making smores... everything but staring at some type of screen. Highly recommend!

We chose to stay at Randi’s place for our 11th anniversary and had our first night away from the kids while they had a blast with friends. This has been our favorite AirBnB stay of all the others we have done before because we got to know Randi and Kenny so well! They are fabulous hosts, and not to mention both are excellent cooks!! We highly recommend enjoying any or all the meals you can when staying here. We loved meeting all the special animals who now have such a wonderful home there. We enjoyed our scavenger hunt and picking up little leaves and things we found to do our nature canvas paintings. It was so wonderful and relaxing to ride around with them at all the various places on the property and see all the hard work they have poured into their property over the years, and now get to share with others! The whole place is just a huge blessing! We are already planning to bring our kids with us next time. I’m also envisioning other friends and family we can bring along too.

Our family had an amazing time at the Ranch! The house was absolutely pristine, and we were so impressed with the variety of clean, well-kept toys available for the kids—they were entertained from the moment we arrived. The outdoor area was stunning, offering plenty of space to relax and take in the beautiful surroundings. One of the highlights of our trip was visiting the ranch to see the animals. Meeting Louis Vuitton, the horse, was such a memorable experience—he’s truly a beauty! We also highly recommend the chef’s breakfast. It was absolutely delicious and added a special touch to our stay. Everything about this property was thoughtfully prepared, making it a perfect family-friendly getaway. We can’t wait to come back and would highly recommend it to anyone!

Definitely one of the best Airbnb’s I’ve had the pleasure of staying at. The place was a very charming type of cabin with access to a lot of nature and paths to walk around. It was very peaceful and calm and exactly what we were looking for as far as a getaway from the city goes. The host, Terry, was very accommodating and easy to talk to. This is definitely a hidden gem type of place with a special charm to it and we’ll definitely be coming back again.

The host was always responsive and available to accommodate any questions during stay. The house itself was clean and well maintained. The kitchen was fully stocked and they went above and beyond to make you feel at home. There were deer in the yard every morning and evening which made it so cool to sit on the porch to watch. Close to the water and would be a great place to come back to in the summer.

The stay at Buckhorn Creek was incredible for our big family! There was plenty of room and were fun activities for all ages. One of our favorite family places that we have stayed! Tommy was responsive and helpful throughout the whole process. The house was so well stocked. 10/10! We can’t wait to return here on our next trip to Texas.

Cindy is a fabulous host!! She is extremely responsive and just a very kind & gracious person! My son (a recent college grad) stayed at the cottage for 2 months while completing an internship. Cindy checked in with us periodically & insured check in & check out went smoothly. The cottage is very cute & had everything needed for the extended stay. I have never seen an Airbnb where the kitchen was so well equipped with utensils etc. & it is easy to find things when needed. The property is very tranquil & a great place to relax. Also the WiFi works very well & the AC is fantastic which was very important for a stay in June/July!! Just an excellent experience! We will return the next time we need to stay in Kennard/Crockett!
