Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Huntingdon County

Place was beautiful and the house was really nice. Didn't have time to enjoy the fire pit, but it was very welcoming. Hope to rent again for our fall visits to East Broad Top RR.

Very beautiful place, easy to relax and get away. Keppy and Ron were great hosts, I appreciated the homemade peanut butter cookies!

This is a beautiful historical home that has been modernized. There is a lot of the original home that is in there (fireplaces and such) and it gives the home a glimpse into its past. It was big enough for six of us and there were things on site for the little ones yet the rooms were cozy. Kitchen was well stocked with equipment and lots of things in the pantry. We loved the convenience to the local town since we were there for a family event. The location is nice and quiet so that was a huge plus for all of us. This is a nice, hidden gem in a historic town that you really don’t want to miss

Our stay was great. They even left a little Easter treat for my kids.

Nicole’s place was a great spot to stay in the winter. Inside and outside was well designed and they had a screened in back porch. Out back felt private. I was also impressed by the cleanliness. Something to know before booking is that the beds are firm, but comfortable. Overall, it was a comfortable stay and a place we’d come back to.

We had an amazing time at Elizabeth's cabin by the lake. There was plenty of space for my family of 4. The house was amazing! It was very clean and well taken care of. This was by far, the best AirBNB I have stayed at. It had everything you could possibly want or need when you are away from home. Awesome place!

My friends and I had a wonderful one-night stay at this beautifully decorated Airbnb, where everything is Penn State-themed. It brought back so many fond memories! The location is perfect—close to State College and easy to find. The place was sparkling clean, and the host was incredibly warm and welcoming. I highly recommend staying here for a cozy and nostalgic experience!

Gail’s place is the reason Airbnb was invented. You can read all of the previous positive reviews for the sake of not being redundant. Suffice it to say, I wish I could copy and paste this Airbnb to every other location where I’ve ever needed or ever will need a place to stay while traveling. However, there’s one thing to be aware of… this is NOT a criticism, but just the perspective of someone from the South… The house is located about 10 minutes outside of Huntingdon’s town center. The road from town to the house twists and turns, goes up and down, until you arrive on top of a mountain with wonderful views including lovely views overlooking Huntingdon. The weather cooperated with us so the approach wasn’t an issue, but if the roads were covered with snow or ice, traveling that last 10 minutes (either direction) could be very precarious unless the driver is used to such conditions. Again, this is not critical, but just a reality of the location.

This was a wonderful place to stay and we're already looking forward to next time! We're used to staying in state park cabins, so this was a few steps up with a lot of added bonus features like basic linens, enough room to spread out, the animals, and a top tier campfire set up right outside. It was nice having firewood for sale at all hours right on site and the owner made us and our dog feel welcome.

Everything exactly as advertised, Jeanne did mention dogs in the dwelling They are big and keep their family safe. Everytime i text she was responsive in minutes So if dogs out roaming i would text to ask for them to bring and immediately she did It was only once because i had my dogs with me Your in the country so only certain places are close by less then 10 minutes Plenty of room in house and bathroom large

This place was a great getaway for my family for Thanksgiving weekend. The property itself has enough to enjoy that you never need to leave from the fire pit, to lawn games, walks in the woods and sitting on the outdoor porch admiring the beautiful mountains at sunrise and sunset. As for the house it was spotless and the kitchen provided everything one would need to cook a feast from pots and pans, to tin foil and plastic wrap, and matches and newspaper to light fires. It was great not having to bring everything from home and all the little things the host thought to provide made the weekend that more enjoyable. I highly recommend this place!

The location was a pleasant surprise when seeing all the awesome farm animals around the property (including Walter the turkey who was pretty neat!). The owners were extremely friendly and I with them nothing but success in the future with Urban Saddle Ranch.

The host was very attentive and friendly not to mention understanding.

We love Jamie’s home! It’s our second year in a row staying there for a reunion weekend with another family, and it’s a perfect spot for getting together. We’ll be back!

Gary was very friendly and helpful! Met us as we arrived so that we got in safe and knew how to get to the cabin. The cabin was very peaceful and relaxing. It is everything that it is described as and is a perfect place for a little cabin getaway.

What an adorable cottage made out of an old carriage house. Beautifully decorated and lots of amenities, including a sauna (which we didn't use). We enjoyed sitting on the patio between the cottage & house. Richard & his wife are very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend.

It's the perfect cabin getaway! Ruth was proactive with all the instructions on how to get there and how to check in, she's not lying when she says cell coverage is spotty at best! We used this a s a meeting place for some friends for a Penn State game and the commute to and from the stadium was easy. 10/10 would recommend this place for anyone in need of a getaway and can survive without cell service and spotty wifi.

The cabin was a charming getaway for a girls’ weekend and not far for a Penn State football game. Everything we needed to relax and enjoy time together. Lacy was very responsive to messages. Would definitely recommend!

The cabin in Saxton was a great home away from home for our family to meet for Thanksgiving this year. The place was comfortable and warm with all of the wood and coordinating decor, and the small touches by the hostess (recommendations, toiletries, etc.) showed her attention to detail and ensuring we were comfortable during our stay. When we had to reach out to Kacie for something, she was quick to respond (even on Thanksgiving day) and willing to help if needed.

My extended family and I had a wonderful stay at the Flying Squirrel Lodge! The property is meticulously maintained, with beautiful handcrafted furniture, high-end finishes, and thoughtful details. We appreciated the well-furnished kitchen, as we cooked most of our meals. And the kids loved the game room downstairs. The bathrooms are spacious and clean, and have everything one might need (obviously besides personal items), plus some unexpected extras, like a towel warmer. The pellet stove was a nice touch, and kept us toasty warm. Lastly, the jukebox provided great tunes.

A cozy cabin full of fun -- already booked a second stay! Great amenities and serene views - we spent hours in the hot tub and playing pool along with daily walks to the river and coffee on the porch each morning. Kat and Steve were great hosts - they even left us an adorable Easter basket for when we arrived, which we absolutely loved.
