Great place, near the lake and hiking through the woods was fantastic

This place is AH-mazing and we honestly didn't want to leave. So peaceful, out of the city but still so close to all of the wedding events that we were visiting St. James for. LOVED the area, the quiet and everything about the farm style, eclectic house. I want a make-up table now (even though I don't wear much make-up), and I want some COWS, lol! I only rated getting in lower stars because my husband and I are "old" and unfamiliar with how all the different newish keyless entry locks work and that took us a hot minute to get right. 🤦 #wedumb 😂 If we ever need a place in St. James to stay, this will definitely be our first choice!

This clean and welcoming bungalow sit in a quiet little town it is a short drive from so many outdoor activities! The friendly residents of Ironton were generous with advice about off the beaten path excursions and a little known gems. Just stop in the local coffee shop or one of the local delis or restaurants and tell them that you are in town for outdoor fun. Good grocery options within walking distance made cooking in the nice kitchen at the bungalow and option for staying in and saving money some nights. The hosts were very responsive to needs, and the accommodations exceeded our expectations. The coffee bar was a real highlight!

Jonathan and the rest of the crew were lovely. Very friendly and accommodating. They made sure my family was safe during some unexpected, severe inclement weather. although we did not get to experience some of the nearby state parks and other local amenities as planned, the location was stunning.

Everything was exactly as described and as pictured. It was super clean and cozy.

We really loved our stay here! The limestone wall was pretty neat but definitely gave off an earthy smell. It didn’t bother us but it could someone else so thought I’d mention it. I thought it gave the space character! The included food in our room was amazing. Only thing I would say is we arrived late at night and the words loft threw us a bit as usually I feel like those are above. It was actually below the spa so I think adjusting the title to just mention “Studio” instead of “Loft”. It could turn people off if they’re worried about stairs as it isn’t a true loft space. Well, anyway, enough rambling. It was really a nice, peaceful stay in the heart of wine country! We’ll definitely be back!

Was the most perfect halfway point for our recent move to Chicago! The home was so beautiful and unbelievably cozy and charming. They had snacks for us upon arrival as well as necessities for our pup that stayed with us. One of the best airbnbs I have stayed in!! Has everything you would ever need for a stay in Saint James. Cannot wait to cross pathed with this home again!! Thank you Loni!!

The Turkey Bluff Cabin was a perfect romantic getaway for 2. Next time we will bring our 8 yr old to try our luck fishing. We loved our stay even after 4 days of rain and canceling our original plan of tent camping all weekend. We enjoyed a nice fire and the gas stove indoors instead.
