Really clean and spacious property. Could have done with a couple of more saucepans and more cutlery. Enjoyed our stay - Matt extremely helpful and responsive.

Melanie is a great host. Very proactive and responsive and provided lovely homemade baked goods, butter, tea, coffee and biscuits. Mini pool table was a nice bonus! Easy walk to the beach and town with good pubs, eateries and shops.

This is the second time we've stayed at The Pretty Fox, and we loved it--again! It's a very cosy house that has many historic features, and Wanda and Tom make you feel completely "at home." It's also a perfect place for walking into Diss, which is a great little town. We highly recommend this home.

We had an amazing stay , we were celebrating our grandson’s 10 birthday. The house is beautiful, spacious and had everything we needed. We had a lovely time, and made some great memories. Thank you.

I chose the house for practical reasons as I needed be near to an elderly parent over Christmas. It was actually bigger than I expected and it was lovely to find a house so clean and tidy; and thoughtfully organised, ordered and equipped. Trevor's responses and suggestions were excellent – and the fact he'd got milk in was a godsend as my father found he'd run out after the shop closed. Altogether, it was like a real home from home. The house is an easy walk from the main centre of Orford and although as a city-dweller, I found the lack of street-lighting disconcerting when walking back at night, the traffic was light and never fast. The children's festive service in St Bartholomew's on Dec 25th was beyond delightful, and there was a warm welcome (and free drinks!) in the pub next door to the churchyard afterwards. I already know the village and enjoyed rediscovering some excellent walks and spending time looking at the boats on the quay. Altogether a relaxing, stress-free experience.

A nice little house which was perfect for what we needed for a couple of nights. The area doesn’t have loads to offer but that wasn’t why we were there. The stairs are very steep as a note of caution but the rest of the house is nice. Well stocked kitchen and a lovely touch with the Christmas tree and some chocolates waiting for us. The furniture in the living room was more practical than comfortable but that was clearly due to the space available.

Absolutely perfect stay in a beautiful area. The house was spotless and even bigger than the photos show! It was perfect for 4 adults and my 16 month old daughter. Stuart sent great instructions through and loads of information about the local area, although we actually loved the house and grounds so much that we didn’t venture any further - we had a lovely few relaxing days in the house and walks around the woodland. My daughter even got to feed the goats. Will definitely come back, and will do a summer visit too as the pool looked beautiful.

We had a great stay at Tawny Lodge. The lodge is finished to a very high specification and was a lovely base for a few days exploring Suffolk. It had everything we needed and we would definitely stay again when in the area.

We had a great short stay here, staying overnight in the flat. It was a really handy base for our visit to Frinton, very central so we could make use of the local shops & close to the beach so we had a gorgeous morning walk along the seafront before checking out. The flat was very clean, the underfloor heating was very welcome due to the chilly December weather outside, & the bed was comfy. We'd definitely stay again & thought how lovely it would be to stay in the summer to make full use of the beach! Thank you. :)

very clean ans modern apartment, two bathrooms. comfortable living room and kitchen area, good parking. location amazing- 3 mins walk from the high street.

Everything as described is accurate and the parking space is an added bonus. Stuart was helpful and replied very quickly to a couple of pre arrival questions we had. Would highly recommend a stay here if you are in the area.

Where to start, from first communication Anna was prompt and welcoming. On arrival Anna greeted us with such warmth, we were shown round, introduced to the family and animals. During our stay we were able to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings and loft. The children made full use of the farm, enjoying the animals and were able to feed and pet them thanks to Anna. Anna, Paul and children were wonderful Hosts and we felt right at home and we look forward to returning again.

We had a short stay at Teresas, and we very much enjoyed it, everything was perfect, squeaky clean and so cutely decorated. Lovely finishing touches like the coffee machine.

Loved our stay at the Apple tree lodge! The Lodge itself is spotless and so spacious, lots of natural light coming in and the view was beautiful, it felt very private! and the bed was HUGE and very comfy! We had a slight issue with the TV where we couldn't get any channels, messaged Michelle who responded very quickly and someone was there to fix it soon after, was very impressed! Colchester zoo was half hour away, which is the reason for our visit, so great location for that. Thank you for having us, we will definitely book again !

The Lark was an amazing Airbnb. So much so it felt like having our own little flat for the week. Everything that was needed was provided including cleaning supplies, shower amenities, milk, instructions for appliances, local recommendations and much more. I could not recommend the Lark more!! I took a walk one of the days to a local cafe (Folk cafe) and it was a nice walk with a lovely coffee and mince pie at the end! 🎄 The only thing I would say is that you need a car if you want to explore the area more as the towns are not a walkable distance. However, if you are looking for a relaxed getaway with nice walks then this is for you. The flat was also super clean, well decorated and had a beautiful view of the English countryside. My expectations were greatly exceeded with the Lark and I would 100% stay here again.

Sam's place is the perfect location. Sea facing, 5 minutes from the station and super close to the town centre and supermarkets. So easy for a weekend away. The flat is much bigger than photos suggest, beds are comfy and the bedrooms are really dark and quiet. We slept really well. Sam was responsive and really helpful. Hot tub was clean, easy to use and lots of fun. I'd really recommend a stay here.

We enjoyed meeting Carole and her son, plus dogs and chickens! It was nice to explore the interesting garden and taste her excellent home made jam. PS The provision of milk and croissants was a nice surprise.

Had a great stay at Katy’s space. Everything was clean, comfortable and matched the description and we enjoyed the goodies Katy stocked the kitchen with to get us going! Great location - very close to everything we needed. If I was ever in Walton or Essex again would be happy to stay again. Communicating with Katy was very easy and she was happy to help with any questions!

We had a lovely weekend at Sam’s place. The place was spotless with very caring hosts. 10/10 recommend for a cozy weekend getaway.

This place was perfect for my stay, it was very clean and everything worked perfectly. The bed was also very comfortable. Emma was really proactive in letting me know any information that i needed as well. If I ever need to stay in the area again I would definitely consider staying here.

We loved staying at Butley Mill. So luxurious, luminous and warm; and so beautifully renovated and decorated. Thoughtfully equipped with all we needed, including two dog bowls! Our dog found heaven, running with the friendly neighbouring dogs over the marshes, safe from the (very quiet) road. As if that's not enough, there's also a sweet shepherd's hut round the side to sit and watch for otters swimming in the mill pond... we heard and saw curlews flying over, many sky larks in the meadows, deer in the marshland and buzzards and kestrels on the hunt. It's only 3 or so miles to walk to Orford over the Sudbourne Estate so we didn't even need to use the car when we went exploring. Sarah was really lovely and appeared by magic to save our lives by lending us her coffee grinder. We highly recommend this marvellous peaceful place and hope to return.

This is a beautiful apartment in an excellent location for all town amenities, shops, restaurants and the sea-front. The interior is very stylish and all appliances of high quality - including an outdoor terrace with garden furniture. An absolutely perfect seaside retreat for a single or a couple
