Mariner's Cottage - Castletown

NicolaRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Great place to stay. Ideal for us as a unit of 4. Perfectly placed in Castletown, so close enough to things but equally far enough away to enjoy the peaceful surroundings

The Bothy at Ballakillowey Farm

BekRating, 5 stars6 months ago
I stayed here for a week alongside my husband, 16 year old son and 17 month old son, and my father and mother (who has mobility issues). We drove from Douglas Port to The Bothy following our host’s instructions with no issues, it’s only a half hr drive on a lovely road. The accommodation was pristine and the views were incredible overlooking Port St Mary and Port Erin. We all had a wonderful week here and would highly recommend it and would definitely come again. Finding somewhere suitable for a toddler and someone with mobility issues can be difficult but this was perfect. The accommodation is sat on a small holding, but still so peaceful and my toddler loved seeing the chickens, horses and sheep. Thank you again for a wonderful stay!

Beach's Reach

CarolineRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a lovely stay at the house in Peel, it is so close to the beach and the centre of Peel, which was great for us travelling with a toddler. Kitchen was really well equipped. The app was helpful for understanding how the stay and the house worked. There are a lot of stairs in the house, so would caution against it for anybody with really small kids who aren't safe around stairs yet.

Riverside Cottage

CharlesRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Seamless experience. Internet went down and someone was there to fix it within the hour. The cottage was extremely clean and well appointed to a high standard. Everything needed (save for cooking oil and bathroom amenities) was onsite. It felt very welcoming and homely but equally free from unnecessary clutter and personal effects. The perfect balance. Parking might be an issue with more than one car, and Gel Chass not an ideal road for low slung sports cars but I managed! The immediate walks to the Chasms and Port Erin directly from the property were wonderful. Overall I would highly recommend this as a place to stay on IOM.

We had a lovely stage at the cottage. Great location in Castletown with a lovely see view. The cottage was immaculate and there were lots of thoughtful little touches such as the bread, cheese, milk, butter chocolates etc. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely book it again.

5 Charles Street

Lovely cottage with all equipment required. Very peaceful and literally silent over night. Only tiny problem was getting used to hob as took time for it to turn on. Great that shops were a very quick walk, as were local pubs. Would definitely stay here again.

Cronkbane Cottages - The Barn

Don’s place was lovely… just as described! Plenty of room with everything we needed. The turn onto the road was a bit tricky but we got it down to a science! It is a great setting and we would look to stay again.

Duxbury Cottage

RachelRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We had a lovely stay at the cottage. It is beautifully decorated and very clean. It was our first time taking our dog away with us, I always worry homes where you can take dogs would lack cleanliness but this certainly didn't. Very cosy, homely feel. The heated floors were an absolute treat! We loved all the little extras like bread, cheese, milk and butter and even a couple of Manx chocolate treats that were left for us. These kind of things always add an extra special touch and were really appreciated. Location was perfect for us, 18 minutes to Douglas ferry station and 15 minutes to Peel, Port Erin etc. Very central location for all of the places we wanted to visit. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Charming 2-bed cottage in town

BrendaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Wonderful little cottage with everything we needed - home away from home! Lovely extra touches of Easter Eggs for our children and some food supplies, which came in handy for the first night and morning. Adele also went to the extra effort of assisting us in getting a Go Explore card. Superb hosts who are very welcoming, helpful and friendly. We had a wonderful visit to the Isle of Man and really enjoyed our stay at Maple Leaf Cottage.

2 Sunnyside Terrace

HonorRating, 5 stars34 months ago
This quaint little cottage was a fantastic base for our week on Isle of Man. It's small but incredibly well equipped. We had everything we could possibly need. Two bedrooms, bathroom with great shower (over bath), kitchen and living room. Word of warning - not suitable if you have mobility issues as stairs are very steep. There is off-road parking but requires a bit of manoevering. Lovely little private garden out the front. Cottage is at the top of a steep hill but Laxey is built on both sides of a very steep glen so there are hills everywhere. Laxey was a lovely little town and a great base to tour the whole island. Cottage itself was easy to find and access was by keypad so no lost keys! The host had equipped the cottage with many staples which meant we didnt have to worry about shopping upon evening arrival. Can't recommend this lovely cottage and Laxey enough.

Heather Cottage

A lovely cottage recently refurbished and well appointed. The local pub and restaurants were excellent and we had some nice walks around the harbour. Easy access by car to other parts of the island as well as the train to Douglas and beyond.

Brookville Cottage

JanRating, 5 stars18 months ago
Brookville Cottage is beautifully appointed and finished to an exceptionally high standard. It’s immaculately clean and absolutely everything has been thought of. The welcome pack was such a nice touch, as we arrived early evening. We were visiting family and the kitchen is so well equipped we were able to cook dinner for 6 easily. The weather for us was fantastic but if you weren’t so lucky then this would be a lovely cosy space to be indoors with plenty of wildlife to entertain you from the windows.

Ballavoddan Farm Cottages 2

MartinRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Brilliant cottage, great rural location. hard to find fault. Cottage was spotless and all the fixtures and furnishing were of a high quality. Despite being a self catering cottage the little extras provided were a very nice touch. IOM milk, cheese, butter and bread provided much appreciated. We would certainly stay here again
