I really enjoyed my stay at John & Anny's home stay. They were such kind and welcoming hosts who went above and beyond in their hosting duties. I arrived at 11pm via train. It's only a 5-7 min walk to their house, but as the exact house location was not clear on google maps (as is often the case with google map pins in Japan) and it was dark and snowing heavily, it took me 15-20 min to find. After that, the trip was very smooth. The hosts arrange a free van drop off every morning to a nearby resort, with the time and location to be set the night before depending on the other guests plan for the following day. This complimentary drop off service was very kind of them, though if you wanted to depart at a diff time or place, you would need to take the local bus from the train station (about 5-7 min walk) which has direct (though limited) service to Grand Hirafu. Beds were the soft/springy type which I found very comfortable. Access to washing machine was also great.

Great spot to be in - easy drive or taxi ride to ski! The room was clean and functional while close to a grocery store and restaurants. Had all the basic kitchen items to make meals! The WIFI was not the strongest in our room so made it tough for downloading apps to get a taxi.

Great location and cozy space for Niseko and other local resorts. The parking spot is in the garage below the unit so we never had to brush heaps of snow off of our car. Kutchan seemed to have a little bit of everything - decent restaurants and bars, a local 7/11 and a big grocery store all within walking distance.

The Appas team were very helpful during our stay. Place was immaculate and as described in the listing. Definitely made a memorable experience for my family, especially my kids who loved to play in the now in the yard.

It was my second stay, but this time it was perfect. It was a little cold, so if I increased the heating, I was worried about drying, so I needed a humidifier. Other than that, there's nothing to worry about! It is also great to be just a short walk from Hanazono Ski Resort!

Very nice space. The host was very communicative. Located in the entryway to the adjoining cafe. Clean, well decorated and spacious. Walking distance to many places to eat and see. Not really able to tell from photos and description, but one bedroom is not private. there is a half wall separating the room from the kitchen and no door. More like a studio with an extra bedroom. Otherwise great stay.

If there is a car, this is really a great location, get up every morning into the shade of Yotei Mountain, make people feel at home, and want to stay here for a long time, the house equipment, environment is not there, and it is a very pleasant vacation.

The B&B is very clean and tidy, the guests are very friendly, there is a place to store snowboard equipment, the check-in guidance information is very clear!

Yuki was very friendly and his place was clean and conveniently right next to the bus stop that takes you to Hirafu Ski Resort. The bus leaves at 8:10 and 9:10. So make sure you are outside before then and look for the red bus! It drops you off at night by lucky super market. Right around the corner from the air bnb. (5min walk) 10/10 would recommend!
