A clean, peaceful, and comfortable place to stay. Well-equipped and the hosts experience can be seen in that everything has been thought of and everything was taken into consideration. Great instructions. Great for longer getaways. Beautiful. The cottage is “expanding” wonderfully when there is a different space in the sauna cabin and grill canopy. Great steam.

Beautiful, clean apartment, a few minutes walk to the stunning scenery of the lake. Responses from hosts were right away. Peaceful location, conveniently located between Joensuu and Koli. The Karelian pies baked in the morning were a luxury! Warm recommendations to others!

The cottage is in a beautiful, quiet location, and it was easy to find based on the instructions provided by Sari. Check-in was also effortless. The cottage was well-equipped and matched the description. Plenty of space! Lovely, gentle steam in the sauna. I highly recommend this place if you want a peaceful time in the middle of nature ❤️

Beautiful little guest house and amazing views!

Everything went very well with Maire. I stayed in the flat for 8 months. The apartment was clean, as pictured, and quite peaceful in its location. I recommend this place and Maire as a host.

We really loved our stay at Mikko's place. The location is fantastic, with a pier and a beach leading to the lake. The cottage faces south, so it gets a lot of sunlight during the day which is great. The cottage was very well equipped with two kitchens to chose from, a rowing boat, a grill, a garden swing and many more items. Very clean water from a well. The equipment and wifi worked perfectly. The wood-fired sauna is also well located next to the lake with a separate cloak room. Mikko's lovely "mökkimummo" greeted us upon arrival and gave us a tour of the grounds. Only small concern was that we did not know before that the grounds are shared with another cottage about 40m away. However, the neighbour seemed to only be there for some of the time and kept to himself, so we still felt like we had our privacy. Groceries in Lieksa were about a 20 minutes drive by car. Overall a great and authentic way to experience Finnish nature and lifestyle!

The place was as described. Small comfortable house /“ Grandma's cottage”. Comfortable space. Cutlery was a little low
