Smoking friendly holiday rentals in Kandy Lake

Erangas place was absolutely beautiful. Located in the mountains not too far away from the hustle and bustle, but not too far either. Their little puppy was the cherry on top too!

Fazly is truely an exceptional host who went above and beyond throughout our stay. The accomodation was spotless, and those balcony views just stunning. We ate delicious breakfast and dinner made by his wife on the balcony which saved us having to go out. We were really made to feel at home, more than any Airbnb previously visited. 10 out of 10, if you are visiting Kandy look nowhere else.

I stayed at Riverside for 3 weeks and it was a great stay. The apartment is situated a few km out of Kandy in a small village, which is great as you get to experience real Sri Lankan life, I found the villagers very friendly, often stopping to chat to me. The bus to Kandy is just 10 mins walk away. The apartment is lovely, very spacious and with a wonderful large balcony perfect for eating and working. There's an outside plug so you can plug in your laptop. Hiran and family are lovely, Hiran is happy to help with any problems and the breakfast cooked by his wife is delicious and different most days. I'd definitely recommend this apartment and I'd stay again also being a solo woman traveller I felt safe at all times.

He made sure we felt at home and all our needs are met. The house is beautiful and spacious. The security was also very nice and helpful. If you’re looking for a safe and cozy place, this is it. We rented this place for 2 weeks and it was amazing. Hosts were really helpful and friendly. Place is very clean and all interior and furnitures were very comfortable. Situated in a very clam place perfect for long holiday with family

A great apartment within easy walking distance of the lake and temple. The hosts were super friendly, and the accommodation was very clean—we felt right at home and spontaneously extended our stay! Due to the thin Styrofoam gaps at the top of the walls, we occasionally heard some noise from traffic, monkeys, or between our own rooms. That said, we had no issues with mosquitoes or cold air, and we would happily book another stay with Lakmal and his wife!

A great stay in Kandy. About 20 minutes walk from the lake and about 10-15 minutes to the city. Very lovely and nice hosts :) and a super delicious breakfast! For tips in the area, the super nice manager Nimal is on hand and the housekeeper who lives in the house tries to make everything possible to make you feel at home. Thanks very much! Stuti! Clarence's place is just wonderful! It is very spacious, airy, light, comfy and beautiful. All our family enjoyed staying at Clarence. He is a great host, always responding quick and making the best to please his guests. The other members of Clarence's family must be mentioned too. They all are very polite, friendly and hospitable. The balcony, which better be called a terrace, is huge and the view is stunning. Everything is great, highly recommended for families and people who prefer tranquility over a busy city. To call a taxi we used "pick me" app. It is very cheap and useful.

This is a 147 year old bungalow, and the stay was simply fantastic. We loved everything about the house and the host was fantastic to stay awake late in the night to welcome us after a tiring day for us. I would highly recommend this place to others.

Super nice place, very large and even better than shown in the pictures!! The communication and check-in were great and also very friendly. In addition, super inexpensive and the city center is easy to reach with a tuk tuk within about 7 minutes. Highly recommend if you don't want to stay in the middle of the big city. Simply great👍🏼

We had a great time. The Room is big and clean und the view is amazing. Achala offered to cook dinner for us and it was definitely worth it. The next day he even drove us to peacock trail and picked us up later down the trail so that we could have a great experience in the nature to escape the noise of the city. He had great recommendations regarding food and local stuff to experience. He is very kind and friendly and we had a great time. We recommend to stay there :) Thanks for everything.

Typical Kandy living space with charm & quirks. Spacious, clean with a cute garden. Thoughtfully set up. The host arranged a cook at a additional pay . She was phenomenal with Srilankan food. Convenient for families short or long stay.

Individual rooms in a modern new apartment on the upper floor of a medical building. New furnishings, bedding and drapes. Very clean and comfortable space. Ideal for individuals and families. Dileep, his family and staff are extraordinary kind and helpful and also friendly. Dileep actually drove me to the bus stop and waited with me till the bus to Vavuniya showed up. Great value for the money.

Highly recommended, the view from the apartment is breathtaking and is a must-visit for anyone visiting Kandy.

Spacious, clean flat with a balcony overlooking the river and some lovely furnishings and art work. Responsive host and lovely caretaker. We especially appreciated the assistance with transport to Kandy from the airport, the solid breakfast, and the late checkout. Within tuk tuk distance but mercifully removed from the hustle and bustle of the city center.
