Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Kangaroo Island Council

I had a fantastic stay at this house. It was clean, quiet, and located in a great spot for exploring Kangaroo Island. The location made it easy to drive around and enjoy the sights. I will definitely book again when I return!

My family and I had an incredible stay at Kate's property on Kangaroo Island. The incredible surroundings on the lagoon, with free room to roam with the kangaroos, combined with the luxury and comfort of the property made for a perfect vacation. We can't wait to return.

We enjoyed the Stay , the house was spotlessly clean . The beach was almost at our door and the town a small walk away . Our Family from the UK also enjoyed the say . We can highly recommend . Cheers Roger and Leeanne

Tom and Lorraine’s place was the perfect family beach getaway. A great house with a fantastic view. The hosts were wonderfully responsive to any queries.

Ben’s place was beautifully located walking distance to the beach and river. The house had a very homely feel with everything you could possibly need and made us feel right at home. We particularly loved the barbecue and deck area with the added bonus of being able to feed wallabies at night. The provided torches, board games and surf boards made it easy to go for walks and catch waves at the beach and spend time connecting with each other. The beds were incredibly comfortable and overall we had a fantastic stay.

Great location with a fantastic view. Could do with a few upgrades but overall I would have no issues coming back again. Both host excellent service and always answered my questions. The view is the best on the island in my opinion.

An incredible place, quiet, peaceful 2min walk to the beach. Ben was a great host and made accommodations for our infant. We only wish we’d stayed longer!

I had a lovely stay here! The house was very tidy & spacious & had everything needed to feel right at home. Highlights were comfy beds, 2 toilets, and being in close proximity to the bus stop and other Kingscote shops & eateries.

'The Nest' is a beautiful place to stay, not only for the stunning views but the amenities and finishes of the place were absolutely gorgeous and luxurious. We felt comfortable immediately. It is a perfect base for a few days of exploring KI while providing the perfect amount of relaxation after some exploring (or even just for a whole day of rest). We'd love to come back in the winter sometime to rug up near the fire with a good coffee from the coffee machine while enjoying more of the view.

We had an absolutely amazing 3 night stay at Ecopia Retreat. The retreat was spotless and beautiful, and Yael provided some local goodies which was a wonderful surprise. The location is perfect if you want a peaceful, private retreat surrounded by wildlife, while still being just a short drive to local attractions. We took several walks on the property and spotted 2 koalas, 2 echidnas, and a number of kangaroos and birds. It was unexpectedly hot (97 degrees Fahrenheit!) on one of the days we were visiting- we went on a dolphin snorkel with KI Marine adventures that morning (incredible!) and when we returned to Ecopia mid afternoon, we were so pleasantly surprised at how cool it had stayed inside, due to the fantastic insulation. With the fans on we stayed very comfortable. Yael was very friendly and quick to respond when we had questions about walks, etc. If we could tele-transport ourselves there, we would come back over and over ☺️. Just book it!

The best Airbnb so far!! What a view. A must to book - don’t hesitate. Every morning my daughter and I would watch the family of Blue Wrens forage the garden and count how many frogs we could find in the pond. A place to reconnect with nature and switch off. We didn’t feel the need to leave once our entire stay.

The cabin was spectacular! Hidden spot on KI, peaceful and quiet. The cabin itself was clean and luxurious with stunning views. The host was great and quick in their response and always accommodating.

Tu Emuz was the most beautiful place, the views were amazing and the location serene and private. We stayed a week but wish we had booked for a month. The cottage was well appointed with everything you need and our hosts, Eric and Wilma were wonderful even inviting us to go penguin spotting with them. We will definitely be back!
