The tastefully decorated house of Geraldine and Abou is located directly on the river. The location is great. The pavilion was also a dock for our private boat trips with Moustafa. You will experience romantic sunsets all to yourself. G & A were very helpful and organized everything for us, it was perfect. With Moustafa we spent a lovely and impressive day on the boat and he showed us the Saloum Delta. He prepared us a fine meal on the no-stress island. They were all unforgettable experiences. We'd come back in a heartbeat. Thank you Geraldine, Abou, Martine, Moustafa and Sar.

What a lovely stay at Alioune's! Laurie first shared with me the essential information about Alioune's place and contact details and then I was in contact with him directly. His instructions were clear and helpful (like the direct bus leaving Dakar) and he came to wait for me at the dock. I was very touched by his kindness and his desire to share the history of the village of Mar Lodj. The place is very nice and quiet, cherry on the cake: Alioune's kitchen is very good and everything comes from the surroundings.
