Holiday rentals with a kayak in Kill Devil Hills

A perfect OBX golf weekend – we’ll be back! We had an absolutely incredible weekend at Emily’s place during our boys’ golf trip to the Outer Banks. From the moment we arrived, we were able to disconnect and just enjoy. The house was welcoming, spotless, and had everything we needed—and then some. The hot tub was a total highlight—nothing better than a post-round soak under the stars! The location was also fantastic—close to golf courses, local spots, and everything we wanted to check out, but still quiet and relaxing. Check-in and check-out were a breeze, and Emily was a wonderful host—kind, responsive, and clearly thoughtful about every detail of the guest experience. We’re already talking about coming back. Anchors away was Awesome! Loved the neighborhood atmosphere. The Halloween decorations in the neighborhood were cool! Every evening had the most beautiful Sunsets. The house is Awesome! King size bed and large shower get 10 stars from me. I will definitely book again. Caitlin was great and answered all my questions. Thanks for everything.

We had a wonderful time. Everything was as described, and we had lots of room to spread out and enjoy our visit. The kitchen had everything you could think of needing. Everything worked well. We loved the crow's nest on top of the house. The pool and hot tub were very nice. The location was great, close to the beach and anything else we could want. We were very comfortable and would come back again.

We've stayed here multiple times because it is such a beautiful and cozy home. The decor is tasteful and homey. The amenities are so thoughtful. It's our favorite home in Kill Devil Hills.

This was a beautiful home. Evan made sure we were taken care of. Loved knowing what kind of coffee maker was there. We went to OBX because our son and his family recently moved there. We wanted to spend thanksgiving with them and take our older grandchildren with us. The house was perfect for all of us and was nice we could have our feast together. The kayaks and paddle boat were really fun for our older grandchildren and a great feature. Felt right at home. Loved the special gift that was waiting for us and the Christmas decorations We will stay again the next time we go to the OBX. 💕💕💕💕

Absolutely loved the home! My friends and I had so much to do with all the extra amenities. Great for families and such easy access to downtown! Will definitely book again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Without a doubt one of the best places we have stayed in. Alan was easy to communicate with and super responsive . The house was beautiful and in a peaceful area. Neighbors were wonderful. Kitchen was easy to cook meals in and had everything we needed. Beds were clean and comfortable, showers were hot and towels were fluffy! The sound was a walk down the driveway and had great sunsets. Beach access was less than a 8 minute drive. Beach towels and all things you need were available. Pool was perfect and clean. The canal at the back of the house was great and lots of wildlife to hang out with. We would without a doubt come back again!! Just loved this place so much!! Thank you Alan for making our vacation so stress free and enjoyable!!

We totally understand and agree with Tanya being listed as a Super Host with 5+Stars! From making the reservation until checkout, Tanya made certain that we had absolutely everything we could possibly need for our stay, from extra toiletries, beach towels, sunscreen and even a sewing kit! She is responsive to messages, provides tips and suggestions on trips, places to visit and local restaurants! The house is pristine yet feels like home! We will definitely be making many more trips and this will be our “ home away from home!”

When we arrived to the pirate house the kids immediately started working on the scavenger hunt! They loved it. House was just as it was in the pictures. Very clean and well decorated. The neighbors were very friendly and the kids enjoyed kayaking. During our stay the dryer stopped working and it was replaced within 24 hours with a new unit. It was nice to be in the gated community and have shops and the beach all in a 10 minute drive. Hands down will stay here again!!!

My wife and I stayed with our two kids and my parents (and their dog) and had a great time! The house is cozy but comfortable for 6, with a good amount of living space including a very nice sunroom. Amy was friendly and helpful in our communications and proactive at checking how things were going, and helped ensure we had a nice stay the whole time. Staying on the sound was beautiful, especially the sunsets. The house is right on a great multiuse path which is perfect for walking or biking to the nearby coffee shop or for exercise. Grocery stores and restaurants are close too, as are destinations like Jockey's Ridge and the Wright Brothers memorial. Two little things that made me happy were walking past the Muscadine vine in the front yard, and the color of the mailbox: a light blue which made it unique and easy to find when driving down an unfamiliar street. If your group is the right size for it, Safe and Sound is a great place to stay, and Amy is an excellent host!

This house was very nice. The neighborhood is beautiful and it was centrally located to all the things we wanted to see in OBX. We liked having comfy beds for everyone and covered parking. Goldie was very communicative. It would be nice to have shampoo and body wash in the bathrooms (no one else in my family brought any 😂) and access to beach chairs and sand toys would be a helpful addition since it’s so close to the shore. Randy is a great host. I found the house very clean when I first got there and he had everything anyone would need for a beach vacation. I would definitely be going back next year.

We love this place because it was so clean! I don’t generally relax much while on vacation because I’m always worried about cleanliness. We’ve been coming to the OBX for 18 years and this is the cleanest place we’ve ever stayed. Even the carpet and couch were cleaned before we got there. If you’re a clean freak you will not be disappointed here! The pool was amazing! The weather wasn’t super pool friendly while we were there but there was also a hot tub that my teen enjoyed greatly. Thanks so much for letting us enjoy your place for the last few days!

Cayce & Reece are fabulous!!! They respond to all your questions right away. They are very helpful and make your stay very comfortable. We didn’t need anything because they have it all covered!!! You are very close to b everything here, beach, groceries & restaurants. This was our second year staying with them and with a totally handicapped adult, their house works perfectly. I highly recommend staying here.

Perfect weekend getaway for my boyfriend and I! The house was in great condition, had a full functioning kitchen, and can’t beat the Hot tub :). All of the tv’s were smart tv’s so of course we watched Outer Banks on Netflix☺️. This house was right off the main road and very close to food, the beach, activities, and shopping. Also a good middle location to get to other towns in OBX. The host’s guidebook was also a great resource and we had some fresh amazing food. Our top recommendation is NC Coast Grill and Bar. 🦪 Check in and check out was a quick and easy process and the host is very responsive to our messages. We’d highly recommend it here to anyone coming to visit! 🥰
