The house was spotless. My mother who is very particular about cleanliness could not find anything that was dirty. It was well stocked with a coffee station, some snacks and the bathrooms with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and extra toothbrushes. My kids loved the mini cookies, popcorn and mints. I would stay here again and definitely recommend it to others!!

Very unique place. We enjoyed the grounds and sitting by the fire outside. Our fur baby enjoyed exploring too. It was relaxing and peaceful, exactly what we were looking for. We also drove into nearby Covington and had a great lunch at LOLA.

This is our second time staying at this beautiful home. It’s has everything we need to be comfortable and Tasha is always available to answer any questions. Big plus that this house is only 9 minutes away from our friends, who we come to visit every year in Hammond. We also enjoy the short walk to town, where we can shop & we also enjoyed a few of the many restaurants there. (Also a great neighborhood to walk our golden retriever, she loves it there as much as we do!)

Myrtle cottage is everything we expected and more, but the true gem is Bobbie herself. She has a beautifully appointed house, meticulously clean and she has thought of everything to make you feel welcome. We frequently visit the North Shore and this is by far and away the top choice of all the places we have stayed. She takes Southern hospitality to a new level! We enjoyed the wildlife, beautiful surroundings and peaceful property. There are plenty of places to explore and visit within 20-30 minutes, and the restaurants in the area will not disappoint. We look forward to returning to this little slice of heaven and visiting Bobbie our resident Southern angel.

Ellen Lago was a delightful surprise! A roomy cabin with old time charm offering all the necessities, plus much more! The view of the lake from the porch is spectacular! The private beach is amazing with kayaks, beach volleyball, fireplace, and covered sitting area! The lake water is so clear you can watch the fish swim! Ellen Lago is the perfect place for a quiet, relaxing, peaceful vacation. I felt at home and safe at Ell Lago! Jess is a wonderful host!

Our group of 8 was very pleased with the space. It's set up well for privacy of guests and each room having a separate bathroom is so good. The common areas were also comfortable and spacious. The back deck area was a nice bonus too. Location was perfect - easy to walk to the French quarter. On our block was a corner store and coffee shop which was very convenient. The Candlelight (bar) is also around the corner. The neighborhood felt safe, no lurkers.

Absolutely loved our stay here. Very peaceful with an awesome view. Enjoyed our afternoons in the hot tub and catching some fish. The homemade muffins were a plus and delicious. Will definitely stay here again if ever in the area. Ashley was a great host and very quick to answer any questions we had.

Completely met our needs we did not want to be in the thick of things we wanted to go visit plantations and do some swamp tours. We did drive about 30 minutes to see some things on one day drive into New Orleans at about an hour but I would rather drive 30 miles at 30 minutes in no traffic then 5 miles at 30 minutes in traffic. This location suited our needs..

This was our 2nd year to stay at this property and it’s still the best property we’ve booked to date and we stay at Airbnb’s all across the US. Mr. George communicates clearly and rapidly with any questions and I’d assume with requests as well however we’ve not had to make any because this place has everything.

I had an amazing stay at this Airbnb while visiting New Orleans! The space was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect—close to all the action but in a quiet area that allowed for a good night’s rest. The host was incredibly responsive. I truly felt at home and would absolutely stay here again on my next visit. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a fantastic place to stay in NOLA!
