Notice the detail in use of locally reclaimed wood from late 1800s from the base board to the top of the triple stacked bunk beds. -Kayaks and a paddle board available upon request.

A cabin in the woods. Off grid. With solar power and generator back up. All automated. Indoor plumbing, Running water, Full electric, automatic sauna. A refrigerator, microwave and full oven/cooktop at your disposal. 10 miles from Big Bay Michigan and 32 Miles from Marquette Michigan. Excellent access to the atv/snowmobile trails and the great outdoors in general. Hiking, Snowshoeing, Cross Country Skiing, Snowmobiling, 4 Wheeling, Fishing, Etc. 1220 feet above sea level, Huron Mountain Range.

Just a short walk down the hill is our Private rock beach On Lake Superior with a fire pit to get cozy and watch the sunset. The main cabin also has a fire pit for your enjoyment. This is a quiet place with whitetail deer being the only thing to come and visit. Occasionally you’ll see bald eagles fly overhead looking for their dinner. Walking trails.

Enjoy stunning sunsets, fall colors and amazing views from the cabin, screen house, lakeside fire pit or private dock. Boat access nearby to fish this beautiful 450 acre lake. Traditional wood sauna for therapy and relaxation. ATV trails nearby, or if you prefer hiking, biking, waterfalls...Marquette County has it all.

Chocolay River Cabin

Small hand hewn log cabin on Chocolay River. Good fishing, approximately 5 miles from snowmobile and ORV trails. Full kitchen. 1 BR (Q), Full sofa sleeper and 1 bath. Outdoor electric sauna. A fire pit. Washer/dryer. Basic amenities. Full kitchen. There is WiFi but cell service can be very sketchy. Texting does seem to work ok. We do have a cell phone booster there but it still isn’t great. If you need to make a call you can drive about 1 mile out to US 41 and service is good.

Outside the cabin you will find a charcoal grill, private fire pit and picnic table.
