Family-friendly holiday rentals in Lake Junaluska

Check in was super easy. Wonderful drive up the mountain. I would recommend a 4x4 vehicle as the driveway is tricky. Beautiful views that change through the day. At night the mountain across from the property is lit like a Christmas tree with the cabin lights. Amazing. The cabin is well equipped. Spacious but cozy. The decks offer a lot of space. Plenty of furniture inside and out. Indoor gas fireplace provides great ambiance. Hot tub was wonderful on a chilly night. Located just minutes from several towns, all with busy, well kept, downtowns. Lots to do in the area. Plenty of restaurants and grocery stores nearby. Highly recommend.

We visited for a family vacation. Make sure you have 4WD for the road up to the house!! It was a pretty view & very spacious. Game room is a plus! There were a lot of lady bugs & stink bugs in the house. It was great for a family mountain trip. Very private area!

First and foremost, Sergio is a great host. All of the information sent prior to our stay was great to have. He was very responsive to every message sent. The directions to the house were accurate and entry was seamless. The house is cozy and warm with everything you may need. We used all of the amenities; games, tv, hot tub, sauna, ping pong table- there really was no reason to leave the house. The weather wasn't great but we still made to it Cataloochee to ski, and having the hot tub to come back to was perfect!!! The view from the back porch was ever changing and always gorgeous. It was a wonderful way to bring our family together for a long weekend.

This place was a perfect getaway for my family and fur babies! Super quiet and peaceful. We will definitely be back!

Inside, A-Frame of Mind felt spacious and very comfortable for our family of three + our pooch. With 3 levels of living space it felt much more open than other A-frames we’ve visited. All the systems & appliances worked and the beds were also comfortable…which can be a make or break for our vacations. Outside, there are neighbors close but things felt surprisingly private due to how the house is oriented on the mountainside. We were in a HD truck and had snow & ice during our visit. This made the last section of road and driveway a bit challenging due to the angles, but overall the road in is very well maintained.

We had a great time in this perfect little cabin! Very cozy and relaxing. The river just outside the house was a beautiful site especially from the hot tub. Nate did a great job responding very quickly and made sure our stay was great. Highly recommend!

Thank you Michael for hosting friends that were grieving the death of a loved one. Your hospitality allowed many children and grandchildren to be present at the funeral. They could not accommodate all the family that came from near and far. Your house was close to the immediate family’s house. May God bless your endeavors and your most hospitable home.

This home was perfect for our family of 3 teens and 3 adults. It was spacious and clean, we wanted for nothing. All this with a very accommodating, understanding and hospitable owners, who let us stay even after Helene's destruction to their bridge. Thank you for the wonderful stay this Thanksgiving 2024.

Such a beautiful and peaceful cabin tucked a way with a lot of hiking close by. The cabin was rustic, clean, and just as described/pictured. My boyfriend and I did a couple of nice hikes including Looking Glass Rock Trail as suggested by Lucas. Greg/Lucas were very accommodating and responsive.

We stayed at Whistle Pig Farm over Thanksgiving, and it was the perfect place to relax and unwind for the week. The kitchen was so well stocked, and had everything we possibly could have needed. The grandparents loved lounging and baking in the warm, open spaces, and our 3 year old son loved playing with all the house toys (so nice!), saying hi to the chickens each day, and going on walks to throw rocks in the creek. Would absolutely stay again - thanks Anne and Tom for sharing your lovely home!!

This was a stunning peaceful location. The chalet was spotless and very comfortable. We stayed a full 7 nights and didn't want to leave this little piece of heaven on earth. Our host Julie quickly responded anytime we had a question. The chalet is well stocked and the extra attention to little details to make your stay special is appreciated. Having a beautiful view of the mountains whether inside or outside was amazing. Also, let's just say you will be talking about the fabulous showers long after you get home 😊 Don't hesitate to book this cabin. It is a golden find for a peaceful rest in the mountains.

A very nice stay. We had a group of seven and needed five bedrooms. This house was perfect for us. It was very much like a home with puzzles and books and TV and anything else we might want. Once we found it the first time it was easy. We kept forgetting to turn on a light before we left for the day so we came back to a lot of darkness. That was completely our fault. I would recommend this property to anyone who needed six bedrooms and three baths. They were very responsive when we had a question too.

This is our 3rd year coming to Brenda’s. We always like coming here to connect as a family. Mo and Brenda ate great hosts, always checking with our needs.

We greatly enjoyed ourselves and we appreciated Liz's facilitation of our stay. Even though we were outside Asheville, we feel that the hospitality of owners like Liz is warmer. Thank you for being accommodating and friendly!

The views were beautiful and the property was very pleasing!

I love staying here~ is my 2nd time. Carolyn has thought of everything one might need~ from amenities to local advice. The surroundings, views, deck, fire pit, deck tables and chairs ~ it's truly a retreat. Being on Lake Junaluska there are walks, even a little Crepe cafe at base of the hill that's delicious. Highly recommend!

This place was Amazing!! Our cabin felt so magical with elk near by and standing to pose, Such an incredible feeling to see such a cool animal up close. Cabin #12 was very spacious and comfortable, wonderful cabin for couples or even traveling with your pup, I'd recommend to anyone!

Carolyn is a exceptional host and we found her home on the lake to be very comfortable and cozy. It was furnished very nicely, had very comfortable beds and was equipped with all the essentials you could possibly need, in addition to extras. The home is well organized too making it so easy to find anything we needed in the home. She’s clearly put a lot of thought into making her guests experiences outstanding. We had a wonderful time and will definitely stay here again or at one of her other properties for our return stays to the area.

This cabin is in a great location in Maggie Valley. It's just off the main road and so easy to get to. Its their own little "community" with only a handful of cabins. It was very clean & well kept. We stayed here for a girls weekend of shopping/sight seeing but it would be a great place to stay with kids! We'll definitely be back!
