Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Lake Monona

My group really enjoyed our stay at Kathy’s place! She was super flexible with accommodating our needs and hospitable. We would definitely stay again!

Wonderful location for a family gathering. 10 of us stayed here at Thanksgiving and there was plenty of room. The beds were very comfy and our dog enjoyed the large yard. This was our second time renting this house and we would happily stay here again.

We loved Connie’s place. It certainly is a home away from home. Great location. Just a short drive from everything. The house is beautifully appointed and is very clean and well kept. We highly recommend staying at Connie’s place.

This is our 5th time staying at the farm. So obviously we feel this place is a must to stay at! We enjoy the peaceful county feel of being at the end of a dead end road. The quiet of the old farm. And the feel of being home away from home! We enjoyed the sunroom on the sunny days as it did help worm that little room up nicely with a small heater and the hot sun! This year our favorite part was listening to the old record on the record player! Being at the farmhouse for us helps us to stop, rest and we choose to take a step back in time unconnected the electronics and spend time together as a family. We read Narnia together, listened and danced to music, did puzzles and laughed as we enjoyed the care free days of our stay. Jeanne and Ralph and Matthew add special touches like snacks tea/coffee and a lovely decorations like the Christmas tree at Christmas time. Along with a clean home and all the regular things one needs that make the stay just wonderful!

Everything with our stay was awesome! Amy has a lovely home - very comfortable, clean, cozy and in a convenient location. It had everything we needed, and then some … the perfect setup for our family over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Amy was very responsive, helpful and kind - the hospitality was appreciated! We will definitely look to stay here again!

This is a fabulous place to stay. Kim is such a gracious and amazing host. The layout and location was perfect for our group of friends to visit and relax. Will plan to return in the future.

Benjamin is a standout host. He was very communicative about everything, professional and welcoming. The apartment is so peaceful and cozy, it was a perfect winter stay to break up the monotony of a cold January. The beds were VERY comfortable! I may have had the best sleep in a long while at this location. Don’t hesitate if you’re looking in this area; Ben will get you situated and informed of the location. 10/10 stay!

Very nice and clean place to stay at!

Loved this stay! Raj and Cecilia have created a delightful experience in their apartment. It is super roomy, ceilings are nice and high despite it being a basement. Beds were comfortable, ample kitchen, supplied shampoo/cond/soap in shower. it felt very private. Close to the darling Main Street in town with lovely coffee shops. Would definitely stay again.

This was our second stay with Kristi and we will be back. The apartment is so close to everything and is always kept clean and tidy. We did have an issue with the door code when we first arrived, but Kristi answered my call right away and resolved it. If you are ever looking for a great place to stay in New Glarus, I would highly recommend Kristi's.

Great place near Devil's Head resort! It's less than a 3 minute drive so we were able to easily drive back to rest/eat in the afternoon and then head back to the slopes for a night ski session. The bathrooms and linen are extremely clean; the living spaces are spacious. The dining table/area is smaller but not a big issue - the kitchen has a complete set of cookware and microwave/fridge. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area.

Great space and wonderful location. Short walk (less than 5 min) to great coffee and many restaurants. Place was spotless. Owner was communicative in perfect way.

Alex was incredibly flexible with our group’s varied check-ins and check-outs. Other members of my group met him and his partner and expressed that they were both very friendly and welcoming! It is an older building so the floors squeak a bit, but I have no complaints. We enjoyed Madison and this place was perfect for our stay. The sunroom overlooking the lake was unbelievable!

Great place to stay for our girls weekend....short drive to restaurants and attractions. Comfortable beds and spacious rooms.

Great spot! The condo was clean, comfortable, and quiet. It was a short walk to the beach and restaurants. Mandy’s detailed directions and instructions made checking in a breeze. Our group of four had a fantastic time.

The host was friendly and quick to respond to my inquiries whether it was a phone call or an email. The location of the property is in a wonderful, gated community and very close to the town area and restaurants. Has a club house on site which was also convenient. The golf course was beautiful, and my sons would love to come back next year to try out the course. We had glorious fall weather and were able to enjoy the screened-in porch when we returned in the evening from our activities. I did not care for the spiral staircase at the entry halls' end to enter the lower level, made me nervous. Was glad that I'm not too old and that my sons aren't children any longer so we could manage them.

We would definitely stay here again! The unit was spotless, beautifully decorated, tons of kitchen amenities, plenty of pillows, towels, pantry basics, comfortable couches & beds, cute and private back patio, and plenty of space. It was exactly as pictured. What we really loved was the privacy and quiet location, but still so close to everything! Chuck, our host, responded immediately when I got turned around upon arrival trying to find our unit (my fault) and guided me to the correct unit. Check in with the keypad was super easy. We felt right at home. I wish we would have been able to spend more down time there, but our sports tournament kept us from relaxing as much as we would have liked. FYI, for those coming for tournaments at the Wisconsin Dells Center, which is north of Lake Delton, it’s (at most) a 15 minute very easy drive. Highly recommend!!

I would give 10 stars if I could. I have been using AirBnB for many years, and our experience with Vida’s Villa 33B is hands down probably the best we have ever experienced. She is very responsive and helped us get an extra hair dryer. The unit looks newly remodeled, and had many thoughtful amenities, from tea and K-cups to a clothes steamer and hair curling iron. We were there for a family wedding from a few states away, and I’m a little sad we probably won’t have a reason to visit again. I highly recommend Vida’s Villa B if you are visiting the Abbey Resort.

As described. Great for little families, private and quaint. It was perfect for our family of 3; very cute and clean.

We loved our stay at this property! The location in Abbey Springs is so peaceful and we enjoyed relaxing on the upper balcony overlooking the woods and golf course. It’s not listed, so no deduction in my rating, but for people who are new to Abbey Springs and want to enjoy the lakefront, keep in mind this property doesn’t provide beach gear or beach towels. The golf cart is a huge added bonus and we absolutely loved riding around the resort. Thank you! We will be back for sure!
