Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Lake of Bays

Ryan was a great host and the place was beautiful and located in a great location easy to find. We loved the place and would most definitely stay again if needed.

We had a great stay here! Helen was so accommodating and was able to host us so last minute after another location cancelled on us the day of! We really enjoyed playing the large selection of board games that were available there and the kids loved the bunk beds! Very clean

Brett was an awesome host. Was always super responsive and helpful. His cottage was such a relaxing time for my family and I. The backyard was very private and great for my dog to run around in. We enjoyed fishing, canoeing, and using the fire pit!

I stayed all month in Jan/25, the place was clean and cozy. Responsive and helpful host. There are only proper curtains in one bedroom, the others are sheers. The living room faces into a line of trees so private but some people may not feel comfortable without blinds or curtains. Note three seater sofa is the only comfy seating (I only mention that because it sleeps 6). The lock is a bit odd, sometimes the door will only open if you turn the handle up instead of down. Note the door locks automatically when the knob inside is horizontal, and is not locked when the lever is vertical. Note there are 2-3 steps ip into the unit once you are inside. Having covered parking for one car was amazing. We got well over a foot of snow this month. Tractor comes to blow out the driveway. Thanks Esteban, I hope to stay again next year.

It was a great winter reading getaway. Very cozy and quiet. So nice and cute inside, everything was new and clean and comfortable. We might go back in the summer, too, as it's near the beach. The bathroom sign: 5 stars! Thanks Rachel! :m

Stayed for the Thanksgiving long weekend. Great location with 1.5hr drive from the city. Very clean, cozy and well equipped. The owners are very thoughtful and offered a welcome package of snacks. Beds are comfortable. Beautiful backyard with lots of trees, a fire stove and access to a small lake. Lots of activities to do. We enjoyed the paddle boat and pooling a lot. Overall a five star and great cottage for a short getaway!

Stayed during major snowfall. Great place to be in, very comfortable and cozy. We had a nice walk along the neighborhood and along the walking path in Orillia. Great view from the dining and sitting area. We did absolutely enjoy our stay

I had an amazing stay at Jeff and Tess's place! From the moment I booked, they provided clear and detailed instructions that made the check-in process smooth and stress-free. The house was incredibly well-maintained, clean, and cozy, as described in the listing. I met Tess she was very kind, and I enjoyed talking with her It truly felt like a home away from home. I highly recommend staying here!

We had an unforgettable stay with Leslie and Ian . The view from the apartment was gorgeous in the snowy February weather . We felt deeply comfortable and protected from the elements inside. Equipped with Amazon Alexa , my fiancée and I got the opportunity to enjoy our books to peaceful music and set a soundtrack to our morning routines . In the winter months , as Leslie and Ian state in their ad , winter tires or all wheel drive are a must for the steep driveway . Before a big night planned at Tall Trees restaurant, my Nissan with all season tires got stuck in the snow on the driveway . Ian immediately came to our aid and assisted us with the many tools at his disposal , freeing us from the snowbank and saving our night . This kindness and hospitality will not be forgotten . An excellent stay !

We went for our anniversary right after the heavy heavy snowfall they got with snow banks being over 6ft tall. With that they pivoted amazing the driveway and walkways were well kept and Salted. Check in was very easy and straightforward. It was such a nice cottage vibe and exceeded our expectations! The kind welcome basket, welcome sign with our named and freshly baked goods were truly such a cute surprise that made us want to come back in the summer! My boyfriend even forgot something in the wardrobe and they were very kind and understanding when we had to go back after checkout to retrieve the item. Although the kings den is below the main house we rarely heard anything from any other guests or the hosts. 10/10 would come again and recommend!

I think Mary is one of the, or even the, best host we ever had on AirBnB. She and her husband Garry took the time to answer all our questions, come up with recommendations, and even lend us gear to be prepared for the snow. Their place was cosy and spacious, with all the needed amenities present. Their place was so clean, it made the stay without any stress. The included breakfast was very delicious and ensured us to be able to start the day well fed. Overall this would be a place to come back to and something we would suggest our friends and family to.

The location of Chris' place is pristine, well-lit, and extremely clean.. Over the past three summers, we have frequented Chris' place repeatedly, and eagerly anticipate our visit next year. Thank you, Chris for hosting us! 🥳🥳🥳

I really liked the place and wished I had stayed more. I really wished the time and weather could have been much better in terms of driving to the place. The house was extremely cozy and it felt right at home. It's a bummer we couldn't leave Scarlet a review on her review notebook at the home coz our stay was quite shortlived due to extreme weather conditions and other situations. We were even grateful for the help our neighbors offered in clearing the snow. Besides, if I get a chance in the future to go and stay there for a few days, I would more than love to. A sincere and thankful review to Scarlet!! Cheers!! 🍻😇

Whether you’re into paranormal activities or not, Brenda’s place is worth checking out! It’s a beautiful home with unique decor for a nice spooky stay! When Brenda let us use her “rods” to communicate with the friendly spirits, it worked. It was quite the experience. The spirits did other things such as lighting up the “cat balls” and even tying up our shoes while we were asleep. 😱

Susan's place has a very cottage core aesthetic that is very cute. She was very responsive and helped us get settled in. Would definitely come back here if given the chance.

Great place to stay in Huntsville, close to the lake and provincial park with lots of winter activities. Igor was very helpful and accomodating.

Great place to stay. Lovely location and great amenities on site. Easy to check in and very clean apartment. Easy to access all the things to do around the area (Vettä, Horseshoe Valley Etc). We very much enjoyed our stay!

Peter was very quick with his responses and took the time to look up what was near the air bnb. The location was amazing since it was right beside a ski resort and 20 minutes away was the most beautiful skating trail in the forest. The air bnb itself was very nice. We cooked dinner and it had everything we needed and seasoning as well. The only thing would be the TV which we didn’t bring a laptop to connect to, which Peter did communicate to us we needed. It was a very great stay and Peter was ever helpful and kind ! Will come back in the summer for the lake.

We had a lovely stay at Pino’s & Maria’s. The beds were comfy, the kitchen met with our needs and the fireplace was lovely for ambiance on a cold winters night. We actually came during the end of a snow storm at around dusk so the lights weren’t on yet. This made it difficult for us to locate the unit from our vantage point and the steps weren’t shovelled out yet, so other than those uncontrollable glitches everything else was fine.

Our family of four had a fantastic time in Phil and Kim's vacation home over the February Family Day weekend. The location is idea for skiing at Hidden Valley or for experiencing any of the other winter activities around Huntsville. The view over the snow-covered lake gave our stay a sense of tranquility and privacy. The place was very clean and comfortable and was well represented by the photos. It was a pleasure to cook in the kitchen and use the high quality appliances and kitchen-ware. Phil was a very proactive and accommodating host - we would definitely stay here again!

We had a fabulous stay at Katie’s place. The condo was in a great location and we had amazing views. The condo was well maintained and had everything we needed. The check in instructions were excellent and the local recommendations of where to dine out in Huntsville were really helpful. The condo was very cozy especially with the fireplace and the fact that it had snowed. We would definitely book this again and would like to visit at a different time of year to experience Summer and Fall.

This place was everything I expected and almost felt like a home away from home. Jessica’s place was very clean and included lots of unexpected amenities such as Keurig coffee pods, gain laundry pods, bath and body works hand soaps, bath towels and a full kitchen with lots of cookware. If you’re staying in the area I would highly recommended this place.
