Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in Lake of Varese

We loved our stay in Varenna! We rented out the full B&B for our group of eight, and it was a great fit. It was easy to find and enter with the instructions, and we appreciated that there were lockers to store our things after checking out the last day. The location is excellent - around the corner from the little town square, across from the church. The best part was the patio on the roof - absolutely amazing views and just such a relaxing place to stay.

Excellent host. Deborah cared for us well. Made us feel at home. Breakfast was good too.

We had such a lovely stay with Paola! The airbnb was beautiful, really clean, kitted out with everything we could possibly need and was in such a great location (a couple minutes walk from the lake and Paolas bar!). We had a handmade breakfast everyday which was utterly delicious and had such a wide variety of food including local meats and cheeses and fresh bread/pastries. The hospitality we experienced really made our trip to lake como special! Thank you Paola x

Sandro & Petra are very warm hosts, you feel very comfortable. The room was big and nicely decorated. The 4 dogs are cuddly and very sweet. The Calanca Valley offers beautiful hiking trails and is a beautiful place. The place is highly recommended, we will be back.

This was a good little find, reasonably close to Malpensa airport. There’s an airport bus to Oleggio for €10 or Grazia may offer to pick you up from the airport for a fee. The bedroom was nicely furnished with a great bed and good pillows, as well as nice bed linen. The bathroom was very modern and clean. Grazia and her son live downstairs while accommodation for guests is upstairs so it was quite private. The town of Oleggio is rather historic with a lovely town piazza to wander around. There were plenty of options for dining and drinking, even on a Sunday night.

Great room in a beautiful little town on the shore of Lake Como. The ferry is close by to tour the lake and other towns. A perfect spot!

It's really nice at Maria Luisa's place. We felt very comfortable and will definitely go back to her. We were there with our 3 kids and it's really a very good place for traveling with kids. 🫶

Claudio and Silvana are both very sweet. We had an early flight the next morning so this Airbnb was perfect as it was close to the airport and they offer to drive you. Make sure you have at least €20 in cash by the end of your trip because at certain times of the day, they can offer to pick you up from the Malpensa terminal in addition to dropping you back off before your flight. It’s €10 per trip and we were like €2 short because I only reserved €10 😅. They provide a little breakfast of packaged breads with jam, water, juice boxes, coffee, and tea which was nice.

Matteo is a charming host, he provided a lovely breakfast and he offered great conversation too.

Lidia is a beautiful person who has a lot of empathy! always available and helpful. breakfast is a real meal! The apartment is very well located 10 minutes walk from the center of Como, parking in the courtyard available which is rare in Como! grazie Lidia di cuore.

Very beautiful scenery, kind hosts, and many natural amenities. A very peaceful space, would definitely recommend. Wouldn’t recommend walking if you have heavy luggage in the sun.

Very spacious and equipped apartment in a beautiful location. Large garden, convenient parking. Very clean modern and cozy. Elena is the very kind and very helpful landlady. The very sweet and very polite dog is also very sweet. Highly recommended

I stayed in the listing for two months. I loved staying at her place. It feels good Doris offers a very comfortable and cozy accommodation. Hygiene is perfect. She takes care of everything. Change of linens and washing machines. The kitchen is common with several other bedrooms, the owner visits regularly to clean it, the amenities offered are very good. Private bathroom is spacious and very clean I would recommned this property

I stayed at Paula’s listing for 6 nights with 3 children. The place is lovely and clean and has all amenities needed within a B&B. It was approx 10 mins walk from the train station and 5 mins from a grocery shop. This was a great base to stay for visiting Milan, Monza, Como, Bergamo and others. The breakfast provided was excellent and having Wi-Fi was a plus point with the children. I would definitely recommend this listing for families who need a nice Northern Italian base.

Thank you Laura for the wonderful breakfasts, your good advice, and your kindness! We loved our stay. The accommodation is ideally located, in a small quiet village, with very good restaurants, far from the hustle and bustle of the more touristy towns of the lake. The ferry is 600m away, and allows for easy access to Bellagio. The bedding is very comfortable, the room tastefully decorated and remarkably clean.

Luca is a very kind host who made us feel at home. The dogs and cats are lovely, the view simply stunning! We had a fantastic time at Luca’s place. Thankyou !

Although we were only at the apartment for a bed for a night after a late flight, the stay was absolutely fantastic! Gabriele was super helpful with check in, the room was absolutely spotless and clean and the bed was super comfy. Gabriele also went out of his way in the morning to take us to the nearby train station and even went as far as to help us book our train tickets! Would definitely recommend and would definitely look to stay again. Thanks a lot!
