Family-friendly holiday rentals in Lake Scugog

Would recommend as a solo retreat or a group getaway. Lots of solitude and relaxation, I’d definitely come back!

The cottage has a spectacular view of the lake. It is very spacious and up to date. The kitchen was well supplied with utensils, dinnerware, pots/pans, an air fryer and rice cooker. The dock area is in great condition, so it is a terrific place to relax in the sun, swim and fish. The stairs from the cottage to the dock has many steps, so my 84 year-old mother-in-law with bad osteoarthritis of the knees could not get down to the lake to go tubing. She was very happy to stay in the cottage and enjoy the view. The is only a short drive to Buckhorn with a Foodland and a Home Hardware to pick the items that you packed but left at home. Alex and Sophie were quick to answer any questions. Overall a really enjoyable couple of weeks.

Dave and Bonnie put alot of love into this place and it shows. It is beautiful, cozy and romantic getaway in the winter. It is private and quiet. The town of Lakefield is lovely and everything is very accessible walking or driving from this place. The parking is great and the town as well as Dave and Bonnies place is well maintained in the snowy winter weather. We love this spot.

Calvin was very responsive whenever I had questions and even let me know that we were able to check-in earlier than expected. The room was spotless and had every amenity we needed for cooking and entertainment. Within walking distance of many holiday events and countless food and bar options available; I can’t speak enough for how great the location is. Would definitely come again

Lovely place , felt right at home . Crystal was very helpful and responsive, given it was a very last minute booking. The street was very quiet and so was the building itself . Very cozy getaway in the heart of downtown Toronto for an incredibly good price . Thank you so much for making our short stay nothing short of AMAZING !

The place was excellent and suited our needs quite well. We were there for a show at the Rogers Centre, which was close to us, around a 10-minute walk.

The Chalet is absolutely stunning. A great getaway for bigger groups. The chalet is so spacious yet cozy. Snag the primary bedroom with soaker tub. Will be coming back!

It’s a lovely place to live in the heart of the city. Very walkable to restaurants, groceries, sports venues and the Union Station. Efrain is super responsive and friendly. The home is nicely decorated and provides the necessities for daily living.

hosts were very welcoming and friendly. the cabin was amazing and very private. a perfect getaway with a backwoods feel. the bed is comfortable and was very warm despite the cold weather. would book here again!

We had a wonderful stay at Seher’s place over Valentine’s weekend with my wife and our dog. We stayed for three nights, and from start to finish, Seher was an exceptional host. She was proactive in communication, always quick to respond, and went out of her way to assist us with anything we needed. Her kindness and hospitality truly stood out. The space itself is impeccably clean, well-organized, and thoughtfully stocked with all the essentials—and more! It had everything needed for daily living, plus thoughtful extras like snacks, coffee, and tea, which we really appreciated. Parking is on the street, but it’s easy to arrange through the City of Toronto. Seher even guided us through the process and was kind enough to print out the permit for us, making everything hassle-free. Overall, I highly recommend this place for both short and long stays. With such a welcoming and attentive host, it’s an excellent choice for anyone visiting Toronto!

We stayed here during Snowmaggedon' 25 and the cozy place made it more enjoyable. We even got stuck twice due to lot of snow, but the neighbors in the area were very helpful and it just became another fun snow activity. Location is close to the good snow resorts in area and offers a lot of activities to do. The place was clean and pet friendly. All of us and the our pup had a great weekend. Highly recommended for ski/snow sport getaways.

Just an amazing weekend. Noreen and Randy were great. Their daughter was also a delight. Just a beautiful area and so peaceful. Can’t say enough about how awesome our stay was. The property and cabin are so beautiful and comfy. The wood stove made for a warm and cozy evening with just the needed amenities to relax and unwind. Fishing little bald lake waters was super productive and visiting in local Bobcaygeon was so much fun. We will definitely revisit this host and their piece of paradise. Can’t say enough about how much fun we had.

Easy access. Clean and organized

We had a great time at Corals cottage. The cottage is pet friendly, very conveniently located close to LCBO, grocery stores and Casino Rama. private access to lake and very clean. highly recommended. we loved our winter stay.Thanks Coral.

Natalia and Evgeney were great hosts. They were both very responsive, friendly, and accommodating. Check-in was flexible and easy thanks to Evgeney, who did a great job at setting us up with our cabin. The cabin itself was exactly as advertised. We found it to be very clean. The view of Rice Lake from our cabin was great, and the area is really peaceful and quiet. Overall, we had a great time here! It was a perfect relaxing weekend.

Great clean place, exactly as advertised, well situated. Katherine was kind enough to accomodate us with a very early check-in while we were stuck and stranded in the snowstorm.

Margaret seemed very nice, she left croissants in the kitchen for us to have in the morning. Overall a very cozy spot to stay and we had no issues. One thing I noticed is that there's an adjoining door that connects from her side of the building to ours and I'm not sure if it locks, maybe it does but I didn't see a lock option on my side. Anyway it still felt private and we definitely got what we paid for.

We had a great stay at Thomas' place. He met us at check in, showed us the building, parking and any details we needed to know. He was very responsive, provided early check in, and coordinated parking spots for both our vehicles. The place was very clean and quiet. We would definitely stay again!

Gary & Mina were excellent hosts. They greeted us for check in and where very accommodating. Any questions we had were quickly answered via the AirBNB app. The house was full of character and had lots of things to do indoors and outdoors. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies, utensils and kitchen wares. There was a washer/dryer centrally located which was great for towels and the Weber BBQ was in top notch condition. Water toys well maintained (2 kayaks, 1 paddle board, 1 canoe and 1 paddle boat). Pool and hot tub worked great, which was a must for our cottage getaway.

We had an excellent stay at Virginia’s place! Four of us came to Toronto for a concert at the Rodger’s Centre which was just across the street. The unit was quite a bit bigger than I expected! There was plenty of room for all four of us, we never felt crowded. We were able to walk to a huge variety of restaurants and activities. Virginia was beyond kind and welcoming. Super quick to respond and easy to communicate with! I would highly recommend staying with Virginia to anyone coming to Toronto!
