Lake house holiday rentals in Lake View, Chicago

Our daughter and son-in-law live VERY nearby, and having innumerable times walked past the historic row of houses in which this apartment is located, we jumped at the chance to stay here. This was not only a perfect location for us, but was just the right size. Having an entire library of very interesting books added a lot to our enjoyment. The shower was terrific. The bed was very comfy, too. This was a great place to stay during Christmas week!

The place was perfect for our needs in Chicago. It’s well kept, up to date, and fits the description.

Th convenient location with parking can’t be beat. The room and bathroom are well-appointed, and the bed is comfortable. Jane is responsive, gracious, and accommodating. She’s my favorite AirBnB host I’ve ever met! I’m hoping my travel plans allow me another opportunity to stay here again. Thanks for the hospitality and a place to stay!

We found our stay with Paula to be absolutely delightful and better than if we had a place all to ourselves. She was generous, responsive, and helpful in many ways. We could not have had a nicer, better hostess and we look forward to staying with her the next time we visit Chicago.

I can’t praise this place enough. Not only was it more beautiful than the pictures, but Janet also provided amenities above and beyond what was listed. She provided towels, sunscreen, and a beach pass and the house is in walking distance to Lake Michigan. She was always quickly able to answer any questions and was readily available. Janet really tries to make the space feel at home and provides you with everything you need for a comfortable stay. I was surprised by the quality and ease of the entire stay, and the room was gorgeous (lots of natural light and plenty of privacy). I HIGHLY recommend this location for an Evanston visit (walking distance to downtown and the lake) as well as the excellent service I received from Janet.

It has huge spaces for big family. We enjoyed three nights in Chicago. Rooms on second floor were good for sleeping with good heating but rooms on lower levels were not.

I was enjoy this house with my family and we had a good time there! The house has everything you need and the location is nearby airport!

The house amenities were well thought out and had everything we would find and need in our our home. extra linens, convenient and safe location, and even toys and pack and plays for the kids. would absolutely recommend for any and everyone.

Olga’s place was really great. Took the train to the city most days. Felt really safe, bed was comfortable and was a great stay!

Our favorite Airbnb so far! We stayed here for our son's wedding, and we were tasked with making a cake. We had bought all the things we needed (including a mixer), and found one of the best stocked kitchens we have seen. It was so good to have doubles with our stuff, as we did have a cake failure that we had to repeat. The kitchen is small, but put together so well! The beds were so comfortable and the bedrooms so quiet! We were able to park in the garage (it was during the 2025 polar vortex, so definitely a plus). And the shower was truly wonderful (jets included). We stayed with our dog. Great place to walk. Great neighborhood. Highly recommend EJ's wonderful place.

Great location, close to the O'Hare airport. Nice park nearby, and lots of restaurants nearby with everything within driving distance. House felt like home, tvs were great for watching football on, and the house felt surprisingly spacious.

Overall we had a great stay! The host was extremely responsive, which I really appreciate. The location was super close to Northwestern and we had loads of room to spread out. The basement was extremely comfortable and definitely the highlight of the property. Everything looked like the pictures and we felt safe. Only picky things would be that there is no tv on the main level of the home (only one tv in the entire house), the basement was open next to the side door you enter into the house and was a little dangerous when entering the house in the dark. The kitchen was gorgeous but was spread out and missing some basic cooking equipment. I do wish this house (and many others) would use white washable linens on their beds. I would prefer knowing I was getting a fully fresh bed when I stay. All in all, we would not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you!

This space exceeded all of our expectations and made for the perfect backdrop to our brother’s wedding weekend. The house is spacious yet incredibly cozy, offering everything needed for a comfortable home away from home. The stunning artwork, complete with a catalog kindly provided by Marianne, added an extra touch of warmth and hospitality. The location couldn’t have been better—close to the waterfront—and although Chicago traffic can be challenging, my family and I opted for bikes and scooters, making it easy to explore all the nearby attractions. We also had two rental cars and always found plenty of parking right in front of the house. If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. Thank you, Marianne!

Easy check-in with very specific instructions and photos. The room space is very clean and comfortable. The house is located in a safe neighborhood near the expressway. Overall, Valentin's place is a great value...I would definitely stay again.

Great hosts first of all. Prompt response to email and phone calls. They thought of practically everything to make the stay comfortable. Most of the things that we brought with us we didn’t need it as when we are going to other places we prefer to bring our own i.e. soft toilet paper and Q-tips. All that and more were available. The bed was amazingly comfortable and nice soft sheets as the winters in IL can be brutal. I am always skeptical of pictures on the internet of places but this house was exactly as shown online. We were in town for a home going service and Craig and Belicia made things so much easier for us and actually remembered the reason why we were there. The Christian atmosphere was a definite plus. We will definitely be coming back and using their home again. Thank you both so much for the atmosphere and the comfort that you provided its much appreciated and we also appreciate you for your thoughtfulness.

Highly recommend this Airbnb! Clean, easy check in/out. Very comfortable bed. Has all amenities needed. Host was very responsive and helpful. Location is one mile to Metra station and a quick train trip to downtown Chicago. You would need a car to go anywhere else. Some distant train rumbles could be heard from the back bedroom but no horns were ever heard and no sleep interrupted. I would definitely stay here again.

I couldn’t have dreamt up a better place for my family and I to stay for my sister’s graduation weekend. This place was even better than the photos and description. It was less a quick 5 minute drive to campus, & in a peaceful neighborhood, a short drive to the beach and downtown. The home was a GORGEOUS 3 story brownstone with a basement entertainment room. It was very spacious on the inside, so my family and I could spread out. The house was very clean with modern fixtures, with immaculate bedding and bathrooms; it felt like a nice hotel. There were several living rooms, each bedroom had a lock/key option, big closets and 2 of the 4 bedrooms are masters with attached bathrooms. It had a car garage, and 5 bathrooms in total (3 full, 2 halves), which my family of 6 appreciated. It had everything we needed to be comfortable, including household supplies and utensils so we could prepare food. I highly recommend this place, it’s a gem. Tarek was an awesome, helpful, and attentive host!

This one of the best Airbnb I have been. The photos don’t do justice to how beautiful and organized this property is. It’s super clean and organized. The aesthetics in the interior are superb and every floor is a work of art.

Robin is a lovely host and has a gorgeous home- feels much larger than the pictures and is beautifully decorated. Tons of space for a large group. We ran into a problem with the AC and refrigerator and Robin was extremely responsive and proactive in getting everything taken care of and taken care of quickly. The street this house is on feels safe and the neighbors were kind. It was perfect for a long weekend!

Shawn's place was just as described. Any little mishaps or questions, Shawn responded in a timely manner. Shawn was very accomodating. I will not hesitate to book in the future.

Place was amazing to stay at and matched our needs perfectly! Jimmy is very responsive, helped us with a early check-in to get people from the airport into the airbnb, and even allowed a late check out since it took longer to pack our vehicles after tidying up the place as much as we could. Definately should mention the basement a bit more on the listing though, as it is a massive plus!

I enjoyed my stay and Olu was very helpful with questions from all the guests. I will stay again.
