Family-friendly holiday rentals in Lake Weir

Stephen was a pleasure to work with, very responsive and flexible as possible. He was proactive in letting us know that the check-in time was available sooner than listed. His keyless entry made it very easy to access his house and made it easy for all in my party to come and go as they pleased. His house was very clean and you could tell that as soon as you walked in the door. Everything worked well, his AC system provided arctic level cooling, his pool and hot tube was ready for use, his screened in game room was fun and actually stayed cool throughout the day, his outside gathering areas had plenty of seating, and his dock provided plenty of room to fish. This location on the canal was beautiful and easily accessible to St John's River. Definitely would stay here again and would recommend this place to anyone who wants a cool place to stay, relax and have fun. Thank you, Stephen, for your allowing us to stay at your house it was well worth the cost.

Jennifers place was even better than the photos. She really thought of everything. My family enjoyed our stay tremendously and highly recommend staying there.

We fish tournaments and frequently stay in BNB’s. This was hands down the best one yet. The host contacted me once we arrived and walked me through everything on the phone so we knew where everything was. We had an issue with no hot water, I contacted her and she had it fixed before we returned to the house the next day. She was very flexible on the check in/out procedure which made things easy for us. The house was great and we had a cover to back the boat under so it stay dry without having to put cover on it. We will definitely use the place again. Highly recommend for anyone in the area.

Spacious and comfortable! Lovely porch! Well equipped kitchen! Beds super comfortable! The house overall was a wonderful place to gather and enjoy time with our family! Host Gino was gracious and very informative!

We have stayed at Taylor’s house before and are never disappointed. It’s one of our favorite vacation spots!

Salt Springs Resort is definitely a fun little community where folks reside and use golf carts. The pool was nice the resort is friendly and it's A GREAT VALUE. I had a great time and people are smiling and happy laid back. The springs are across the street and chg $12 a person to enter. Well worth it!!

We found this location as we were needing to evacuate the Tampa area ahead of hurricane Milton. Our host was very friendly, accommodating, and hospitable!

My husband and I were in need of a quick getaway. We found Donna's place and knew this was exactly what we were looking for. It was in close proximity of Rainbow Springs (where we wanted to visit) and was pet friendly. The house was clean (all hardwood/tile flooring), spacious (open floor plan), nicely decorated, furniture in great condition & comfortable, fenced in yard for the pups, on the river, and had everything we needed! We enjoyed the quiet evenings out back on the deck & in the screened in porch and the pups loved exploring the yard. We cooked breakfast & lunch at the home and explored the town for dinner. We did not get to use the kayaks or bikes but loved that they were available. Donna answered all my questions and was very accommodating to my dates. I would definitely book this home again and recommend to others! Thank you!

Donkey Song was right at home for us. Very Private and quiet. Great Location for our fishing vacation on Orange Lake. Plenty of room for Boat and trailer parking. Porch was the best. Dave was very responsive, A Great Host. Coming back next March. Thanks Dave from the Hall Family

We had a wonderful stay with Walt and Cassandra. The house is very nice. The furniture and decor are very personalized and absolutely harmonious with the whole location The kitchen was excellently equipped - almost the best Airbnb we have ever had during all our travels. It was very easy to cook dinner. Another positive thing to mention is the bed - we slept very well on the mattress. About the area: The house is quiet and you can easily relax away from the hustle and bustle of a city. Super starry sky due to the low light pollution. There are chickens on the property, which provided us with fresh eggs every morning. There are also 2 cats living on the property. We can absolutely recommend the accommodation and would book it a second time.

This was our third stay on their property. It was our second stay at this particular one. It's always clean. The beds and pillows are comfortable. The property and area is beautiful and peaceful. Close to major city like Gainesville but far enough from the traffic and noise. The host is amazing. They leave fresh amazing eggs from their chickens and candy that we always enjoy! They also leave some sodas and other things there for enjoyment. Their showers have nice shampoos and water flow. I would highly recommend any of their places on this property! We plan to stay again. Thank you!

Leslie was very responsive. The setting is private and the covered deck on rainy days wonderful to relax on. Leslie provided much appreciated extras like healthier cooking pans, sharp knives, a cutting board, and a medicine kit which are not usually provided in my years of experience. A word of caution apparently regarding airbnb policy. Check for potential price changes on your reservation Even IF you are subtracting something!!! Because I didn’t end up taking my dog with (deleting the pet fee), it changed my reservation and a $142.20 increase (county tax fee) was added! 😱

We really enjoyed Ken and Marylee’s cottage, very cozy with comfortable beds and plenty of pillows and towels. The cottage is bigger than I expected. The location is excellent, private and only 12 min drive to Devils Den. The hosts were very sweet to let us check out late and even had continental breakfast waiting for us in the fridge. Great experience, would love to come back.

Paul is a Superhost! His home is so comfortable and the three bedrooms and 2.5 baths are great! As is the screened-in sunroom. He is very attentive and answers any questions or concerns promptly. It's a beautiful, safe neighborhood and so convenient to grocery and liquor stores and the downtown scene. You will not be disappointed!

Chuck's place was perfect for our family of four! Our kids really enjoyed the pool and game room. The pool house was super clean and had everything we needed. We felt like we were at home. Even though the owners lived in the house attached to the pool area, we were given privacy. The clean up list was simple and reasonable. Can't wait to come back!

Susan and Jerry were outstanding hosts, they were responsive, proactive and always available to us! The home was perfect for our family of 6, our kids loved thier place and already want to go back. The home was clean, clutter free and well kept. Everything in the home works and the kitchen is well equipped for cooking. Susan and Jerry left us all the passes and information needed to navigate The Villages. We are beyond Blessed to have them as hosts and enjoyed thier property during our stay. We will definitely be Air BnB'ing with them for future visits to The Villages.

Our first time using Airbnb and first time to The Villages and Joan was an amazing host as she walked us through every step of the way. And her place was amazing with so many amenities. She covers every detail to make sure guests enjoy their stay! She definitely set the bar high for any future Airbnb experiences. What a blessing she is!

Very clean and spacious! Pictures matched the space and was well appointed with all the amenities listed. It was perfect for our quick trip to visit family in the area. I'm sure the pool area would be nice when the weather is warmer. We were not able to use it due to the dip in temps while we were there. Great house in a nice neighborhood and convenient to Inverness and surrounding areas.

Me and my wife found it very peaceful and relaxing you can see views of the River from just about anywhere in the house sitting on the back dock looking at the fish swimming by and her son kayaking around the river none of us wanted to leave wish we had more time

Roy left us a binder at the house with perfectly detailed instructions. The house was immaculate. We had no questions and everything was perfect. We can’t wait to go back.

Michaels place is located just a 6 minute cart ride away. The Recreation center and adult pool are well within walking distance. All of the neighbors are very friendly.

Awesome house with essentially two different master bedrooms. Nice private pool, nice patio. Had everything we needed and more. Neighborhood was great. Had a lot of fun on this trip and the Airbnb was a huge reason why!! Really the only negative was that upon arrival the garbages outside were full, making clean up at the end a little worse, and the pool could use some suntan chairs to lay down on.
