Holiday rentals in Lákšjohka

I would definitely recommend Jaakko's home for nature lovers. The place is splendid. Reindeer cross the frozen lake about thirty meters from the house, which is in the middle of the forest. beautiful. Jaakko listens to his tenants and it's a plus. I recommend going to eat the reindeer sauté 3km from the accommodation, in its restaurant. If I plan to return to Finnish Lapland, I will come back to Jaakko's place.

Everything was wonderful. The "Big Boss" was very helpful. He recommended good programmes and helped me to organise them. I can only recommend.

Such a picturesque spot, the photos don’t do it justice. Cabin was comfortable and warm and sauna and hot tub were welcome. Anne-Marie was super helpful and arranged winter clothes, snowshoes, huskies and snowmobiles for us. We also hired a car from north 70, who own this place- really easy to collect at ivalo airport and drop off there again when we’re finished with it. The car is pretty old but works well and the 4x4 is good on the ice and snow. The supermarket in nuorguam is big and had everything we needed whilst we were there.

The house is located very conveniently and embedded beautifully in the landscape. Sauna & jacuzzi were above expectations and so relaxing.

Our stay in this log house was absolutely amazing. The landscape is stunning and the house is awesome, beautiful, well decorated and spacious. I can't recommend this house enough. If you want a calm and nice place to stay and hunt northern light in the north of Lapland, don't search any further. We would definitely come here again in the future.

We had a great stay at Heidi and Jan's cabin. The cabin is very cozy with a nice view over the fjord. Upon entering, it was wonderfully warm. We were allowed to use wood for the fireplace and sauna. We stayed here for 4 nights and saw the Northern Lights for 3 evenings. For that it is best to walk to the street. We drove by car towards Vardø and towards Mehamn. Both rides were very nice in the snow. The communication with Heidi was good and she was quick to respond. We can really recommend this place for anyone who loves peace and wants to visit the less touristy spots of Norway. From Kirkenes airport it is about 3 hours drive. We'd love to come back to this special place!

I arrived by cruise ship and Jakup and Nina’s place is a couple of bus stops away from the harbour. You can also choose to walk about 17 minutes there. Their place is right by the sea where you can see sea gulls and other sea birds catching fish, and it is also just a 12-15 minute walk to the town centre. The view from the house is beautiful, and I managed to see the northern lights from there. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. As public transport to and from Honningsvåg airport is quite inconvenient (there are only 1 or 2 taxis on the island, they’re difficult to get, and the nearest bus stop from the airport is about 4km from the airport), Nina very kindly offered to take me to the airport.
