What a lovely little cottage! Even the arrival, a walk through lush gardens was a memorable experience. The cottage sits within these grounds and is its own self contained little world, spacious and comfortable. You really get a sense of its history. Charlene's husband was lovely to meet and gave us plenty of recommendations of where to go on walks and places to eat in Swellendam. The best restaurants are just a few minutes' walk down the road. We would love to stay again and were only sad we had just one night to experience this quaint cottage.

The Pecan Tree Cottage is a wonderful place that offers many opportunities to relax and recharge your batteries, but it is also the perfect starting point for all kinds of activities. The cottage enjoys a wonderful location and offers numerous amenities, offers plenty of space and comfort. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. From the moment we booked, Philip provided so much detailed information about the area and so many suggestions for stops on the way to Montagu that we could have easily spent two weeks in the Montagu area. We only spent two days there, but they left us with many wonderful memories and the desire to come back. In that case, we would definitely book The Pecan Tree Cottage again. Not least because of our two excellent hosts, Sheryl and Philip. They made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived and pampered us (not only with the sensational treats in the fridge). Thank you for having us.

Daryl is honestly one of the best hostesses we’ve come across. She’s so friendly and accommodating based on our travel plans. She let us check in early and leave slightly later since there were no other guests booked, which really helped with planning our activities for the day. The guest house is very cozy and relaxing with an outdoor area to enjoy the garden. Bed is very comfortable! Definitely a place to stay when visiting Greyton.

Mienke is the best host! She was so welcoming and lovely and gave us the best tips on hikes, food and all things McGregor. We also just loved chatting away with her. The place itself is so cosy and inviting and you have the natural pool to cool off in as you please. Can’t wait to go back and spend some more time there and explore the wonderful surroundings.

What an amazing weekend away we had, the cottage is huge for two people and had an old school charm that made us feel super cozy. They had put the heater on in the bedroom which was a lovely touch. very comfy bed. spent an entire afternoon reading in the lovely big garden. Walking distance from the market square and multiple restaurants. Highly recommend.

A very unique stay - we absolutely loved being able to see giraffes from our kitchen window. So special for our kids
