Kid-friendly holiday rentals in LaPorte County

I stayed at this cozy home and was impressed by how clean and well-kept it was. The space felt small at first but opened up nicely toward the back. During my winter stay, the three-season room was chilly, but the hosts provided a space heater. The thermostat was tricky at first, but the host's instructions helped us adjust it. Keep in mind that the bedroom might get warm at night due to vent placement. The hot tub was fantastic—clean, easy to use, and ready to go. We didn’t use the firepit but enjoyed the gas grill, which worked perfectly. The home was stocked with essentials like soaps, laundry detergent, and kitchen spices. I’d love to return in summer to make the most of the three-season room.

The house was very clean and accommodating upon arrival. Michela and Alex always responded very quickly to any questions we had and always gave us awesome recommendations on what to do to keep busy and have fun during our stay!

The house was exactly as described and had no issues with anything. We stayed for 2 nights and anything we had forgotten, there was a dollar general nearby.

I stayed at Jacki’s home with my friends and sisters for my bachelorette weekend. We are all in our 30s and loved the ample space, with plenty of bathrooms and sleeping options. And we were all so impressed with the decor and design! We had lots of memorable convos gathered in the beautiful kitchens and living rooms. The hot tub was such a nice amenity and when we had an issue, Jacki had a worker come out right away. She is very responsive and helpful, and provides great recommendations for the local area. We also walked to the beach, which was lovely. There are loads of restaurants nearby and in new Buffalo. We also went to the casino and that was really fun. This house is great for all kinds of large gatherings. I wish we had longer to enjoy it!

Nice neighborhood, easily walkable to the beach. The house is comfortable, big dining table that easily fit 8 people. We were there in December but were still able to sit outside at the fire pit. In the summer the yard would be lovely.

Great for families. They had everything you needed for the beach which was only a short walk away. Pickle ball court a fun bonus!

We have stayed here many times, and it's always been fantastic. This last visit was no exception. We give it an A++!

Shane was very responsive and the house looks exactly like the photos. Amenities are great, everything you need!! The neighborhood is so peaceful. Only recommendation is to bring your own pillows, there are PLENTY but they are very soft/thin pillows.

Stayed for a weekend trip to the beach. Central location, about 5 minutes drive from Mount Baldy, and 5 minutes drive from Washington Park Beach. The suite is spotless, well decorated, and has more and better quality kitchen supplies than most AirBNB options (has a full spice rack, dishes, pots and pans, and a full knife block!). Beds were comfortable and they generously provided beach towels, bikes, 4 beach chairs, and a beach umbrella. The only negatives were that it is two blocks from a train station (as is everything else with close availability to the beach) with some early morning trains that could wake up late sleepers, and a construction site across the street- the construction noise was minimal to us, and the construction should at some point be completed. We hope to stay with Jessie again for our next visit!

We had a great stay! Regina’s place is exactly as portrayed in the pictures - very spacious, great light, fun design elements. The front entryway leaves a bit to be desired, but the inside of the apartment is fantastic. Great location right on the main strip. Felt safe, very walkable, and easy parking. Perfect home base to explore the Dunes and Michigan City for a weekend.

It was very nice place to stay . Very comfortable and cozy. Connie is the great host. We would like to come back. It is quiet and peaceful. It was a driving distance to the Al's grocery store or some restaurants, but most important it is so quiet. The room was clean, the kitchen has all things you need to have for a dinner. The master bed was very comfortable. And we got the bedding and topper for a sofa-bed in the living room.If you will come with your doggie, you can find the dog bowls. It has a coffee and tea in the kitchen. Very nice. Great place to stay! Thank you Connie!

This was my sister’s and my 2nd stay at Rudy’s place. The comfy sofa bed perfectly afforded her and me the opportunity for cozy privacy. It is a charming mix of vintage architecture and furnishings with updated, modern decor and finishes. The location is perfect for walkable enjoyment of Michigan City’s lovely Uptown Arts District - and beyond!

We had a blessed Christmas Eve and Christmas with family. Thanks for helping to make that possible.

Patti’s place was great! Very comfortable and clean! Great location to the south shore train. We took it into Chicago for the day. $10 each way was ideal and not to have to hassle with parking and traffic. Highly recommend! Thanks for the great little get-a-way place!
