Family-friendly holiday rentals in Litchfield

Lori’s is exactly what we need while visiting family over a holiday. She is very gracious to host us over Thanksgiving as the last occupants of the year. Even during a snow storm, her place is cosy and beautiful. This is our second year coming, and we love it every time. We would recommend it for those looking for a charming getaway from busy life. Meghan’s house was the perfect place for our girls weekend! Meghan was great at communicating and even came and shoveled us out in the morning when we got snow over night! Couldn’t have had a better stay!

We loved our time at this house. Minutes from the ski base, and only 10 minutes from Bethel. It is a pet friendly house (and we brought our dog), yet is very clean. I am allergic to most cats, and did not have any allergy issues, nor was there any evidence of pet fur in the upholstery or rugs. We were a full house up for a long ski weekend. There was plenty of hot water when we all showered between skiing and dinner. The kitchen is well stocked and has a huge pantry for storing groceries, keeping the counters available for cooking and serving. The living room comfortably held all of us for reading, movies, and games by the fireplace. Plenty of parking for at least four vehicles. The mudroom was great for our skis, poles, and boots, and has cubbies for helmets. The owners/managers were super helpful and responsive. When we couldn’t locate the crockpot, they brought us one very quickly. All in all, we highly recommend Brownie and the Sunday River Co.

Just returned from the most fantastic 2 weeks exploring the US which included a weeks stay at Kiwi Lodge. Where to start? This was exactly as described and the perfect base for exploring Maine. The property was spotless and has all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. 3 beautiful bedrooms, 2 great sized bathrooms, wonderful living area and kitchen and fantastic games room. Hot tub was brilliant. The location on the lake is just perfect, we had the lake to ourselves and took the canoe out. Nearest town of Farmington has all the shops and cafes you’d need. The communication from Kay was great from the day we booked, and recommendations we took her up on were all absolutely spot on. Thank you Kay and thank you Kiwi Lodge for a holiday to remember!

Had a great stay Deb's place in Andover. Plenty of space for our group of 3. The hot tub was perfect after two days of skiing and hiking. We also enjoyed getting takeout from Mills Market. Deb is a very friendly host and we had a great stay.

Wendy is absolutely amazing, she’s the sweetest I absolutely loved her and her rental i couldn’t have chosen a better place I’ll absolutely be visiting again

Paul's house was wonderful! It smelled so fresh when we arrived and was very clean. The house was more spacious than i expected. It was just us two of but could absolutely fit another couple and a few kids with plenty of privacy. We really enjoyed fires in the wood stove with firewood provided. The soaks in the hot tub were amazing! The beach towels were greatly appreciated for wrapping up in to hurry in from the cold! We had fun grilling in the snow and found everything we needed in the kitchen. We felt right at home. Our dog had a blast playing in the big backyard too! Paul has great communication and was very fast to respond. Paul's vacation home is perfect place to relax and unwind! Thank you for sharing your beautiful Maine getaway Paul!

A very nice place to stay we were looking forward to a couple of the restaurants however trying to find something on a Monday night was next to impossible. Other than that, it was a great stay.

We had a lovely time in this apartment! The neighborhood is quiet but convenient to so much that Portland has to offer. The space was cute and comfortable - perfect home base for our family of 4 while we explored town.

Such a perfect location! We were able to visit many fun places in Portland. I really appreciate how dog friendly it was!

We enjoyed staying at the Cape Ann Ranch while we spent a weekend skiing at Sunday River. Barry was very accommodating and let us arrive a little earlier than expected due to an incoming snowstorm that change our plans a bit. We had a great long weekend in Bethel.

We loved our stay at Katie's house in Portland. It was very comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. We would love to stay again soon!

My family and I loved staying at Tanja's home, which is saying something as my family members can be quite particular! Tanja was extremely communicative and amenable to my requests for check-in and check-out. Her place is impeccable and all of us LOVED her collection of artwork and eclectic curios throughout each space--we could come back again and probably find more things we didn't notice after staying for over a week! Tanja had thought of everything, putting a lot of effort into the home's details so that I was left wanting for nothing. My family also loved listening to records throughout the day and evening. A great place for a long-term stay: I found myself saying that I was going back "home" after a long day out. Thanks so much, Tanja! We'd love to come back the next time we're in the area.

I have stayed at Anne’s place many times. Anne and her husband are always very nice and friendly. The apartment is spotless, comfortable and you can’t beat the location, just up the hill from charming Falmouth Town Landing and beach and an easy drive to downtown Portland.

Great 2-level apartment with terrific deck and beautiful view overlooking the river. Quiet and pretty. Owners were very responsive and the kitchen is very well stocked. Nice rustic touches and great running/walking trail along the river, just down the road. WiFi works well. Recommend upgrading the beds as they are small and not very comfortable. Otherwise a great property!

Great house and good location, it was warm during our stay. Enough space for our company. Not far away from the city. Overall it was nice staying there.

We loved the old building with so much charm and character. The place was clean and well furnished. The surrounding is beautiful and location is convenient. Plenty of beds, but remember, they are all narrow twins. No queen bed in any room. More of a dorm set up in each room. Kitchen has enough utensils, plates and silverware for 20. But carry your own spices and condiments- including oil, salt and sugar. This house is part of Poland Spring Inns and Resorts.

Great home for our large family gathering. Great location near Sunday River skiing, Downtown and snowmobile trails right outside the door. We had a great time and will be back.

Amazing quiet little getaway even in the cold windy winter the hot tub made for fantastic nights to be able to be outside and look at the stars, will definitely book again

No frills but perfect for what we needed. Easy ski in and ski out. Kitchen is a bit tight and very little cooking stuff but otherwise comfortable and great for a ski weekend

The condo is right on the mountain, super accessible to the ski lift at Sunday river. Can't wait to go back!

Home is very expansive with room for multiple families to reside together. Lots of games and activities for all ages. Amazing location within minutes to airport and short drive to downtown
