Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Loch Lomond

A lovely visit in very serene and tranquil surroundings. House is very quirky and well equipped. Beds and towels etc all very clean. There was some general maintenance things that could be a bit more up to scratch such as a new lick of paint in some areas, broken locks, hard to clean pans etc but this did not detract from our stay. 2 dishwashers was an excellent idea! Beautiful house though and really spacious. We had a fantastic time and Mhairi was great with any questions we had. Highly recommend for a quiet break away!

If you are looking for off-the-beaten-track luxury with incredible wildlife, views of beautiful Loch Etive and the surrounding mountains which are second to none - then this is the place for you! Our family of 7 had a wonderful stay here and we were sad to leave. We highly recommend this Air BnB and we would love to visit again. Note: we were thankful to find teabags and coffee - but bring your own milk. ;)

Stayed for 3 nights at this remarkable property. If you are contemplating holidaying here I urge you do it, just book it now! husband, dog & I revelled in this haven of a house and it felt mansion sized, you can lose yourself among the generously proportioned rooms. The heart of the house being the huge traditional kitchen with welcoming raeburn stove which flows seamlessly into one of the most comfortable living rooms we’ve ever encountered on Airbnb. We loved the tasteful decoration throughout & the carefully curated quirky modern & antique mix of furnishings. Outside the hot tub is of a very high, quality standard & and those powerful wee jets were an absolute tonic after a day’s hillwalking! Did I mention the owner’s attention to detail? And at last, Someone who understands the importance of silky soft & crisp bedding!! Peaceful setting with the joy of hooting owls & the odd stag grazing in the field in the evenings. We absolutely loved staying at Julie and Ians place. The scones and prosecco on arrival was a lovely touch and a fab way to start of our weekend! The location was just stunning and we enjoyed having a wee dip in the river at the end of the garden! Would highly recommend this place as it was perfect for making a nice meal and enjoying each others company. Thanks so much for hosting us!

We had a fantastic stay — this place is ideal for families with both teens and young kids. We were traveling with our two teenagers, who had their own room (which they loved!), as well as our in-laws, and the layout worked perfectly for everyone. The kitchen is fully equipped and made it so easy to cook and enjoy meals together after a long day of exploring. The outdoor space and cozy living area gave us plenty of room to relax and unwind, whether we were hanging out as a group or enjoying some quiet time. We were lucky to have a full week of sunshine, which made the outdoor space even more enjoyable. If you're into golf, Brodick Golf Club is just a short walk away, and there are several other golf courses around the Isle of Arran to check out. There’s also a lovely spa, hotel, and bar nearby, and it's only about a 20-minute walk to the port and local shops. Everything felt convenient and relaxing. Highly recommend this place — we had a wonderful experience.

We had a wonderful Easter holiday at Sean’s cottage. So beautiful. The kids really loved playing in the garden and nearby play park. The cottage was cosy and welcoming, a really restful place to be. We will definitely come again. Thanks

Very spacious apartment with incredible views. Good location and easy to walk into town centre. Comfortable, clean and well equipped. The host Mary is responsive and instructions are clear and correct. I would recommend this apartment.

My partner and our two friends stayed over New Year. Had an amazing time as the flat is so close to some lovely restaurants and the Oban waterfront. Particularly recommend the Lorne Bar for tasty, affordable food. We also enjoyed Patricia’s recommendation of a walk up Pulpit hill for amazing views out to sea. The flat was very clean and well furnished. Patricia allowing us to check in early was very useful and appreciated as we were travelling by train with luggage. Bluetooth speakers in living room and bathroom a nice touch. Beds very comfortable. Flat nice and warm. Quiet area. Beautiful view from the living room window. Good pressure and heat from main bathroom shower.

We loved our stay in this very comfy, clean flat. It had everything we needed. Kenny and partner were great hosts and showed us around, gave us instructions on how things worked and also gave us some very excellent recommendations for places to go, places to eat etc which was very much appreciated. The flat is in a good area, a short walk from the centre. The furnishings are excellent, very quirky and made the flat feel warm, cosy and very relaxing. We looked forward to coming back to flat after a busy day of sightseeing. The kitchen is compact but again had everything we needed. The beds were comfy, there was plenty of drawers, hanging spaces and the bathrooms were very clean and tidy. We loved the hidden bookcase. We were sad to leave our little holiday flat and would highly recommend it to anyone. we would definitely book again when we return to Glasgow.

Largs is a great wee town. We have many friends there and I would definitely see if Lisa's flat is available the next time we are down that way. Lisa was very helpful with information and very responsive to all communications I made. The flat is well equipped and comfortable and handy for shops and railway station. Highly recommend this lovely stay! Margaret was an AMAZING host providing little welcome treats and communication was very timely. Location is perfect to be just outside Glasgow and very safe area. The flat is so cute and cozy. We will be back for sure!

We stayed here whilst visiting family over Christmas. very convenient for us and just next to the Spa shop for supplies. Spacious apartment, and good central heating needed at this time of year.

We stay in lots of Air BnBs as a family of 6 (four teens) and this was honestly one of our favourites. Blair was very responsive and friendly and met us to show us around (and save us a free parking space). The house was beautifully decorated in colours that pick up the surrounding sea and hills. Unlike some places for 6 this was actually for 6, not 4 plus 2 more squeezed in. Three ample bedrooms, two good bath/shower rooms, enough chairs and crockery for everyone. And all this in lovely Inverary with stunning views right over Loch Fyne. We even had sunshine! Can't fault any of it.

A fantastic stay had by two families with young children and dogs. A wonderful property in the most amazing location. We had everything in the house we needed and the kayaks and beach access down the hill was fantastic too. Great communication and information from the host. Thank you.

We stayed as a group of 8 and could not rate our stay high enough! The area was stunning and private, the villa was spacious and comfortable and our host was attentive for the entire duration of the stay. We cannot wait to book our next stay and hope to make it an annual trip! 12 out of 10!

Just returned from a great family holiday at Avondhu. Everyone loved it, from the youngest to the eldest. The house was perfect for us, especially as my husband is disabled. The ground floor room was excellent with a wet room bathroom opposite. The beds were super comfy. We enjoyed the artwork and ornaments around the house. The host Humza was great at responding quickly to any questions I had. Thank you Humza for letting us enjoy your lovely house.

Excellent stay in lovely house. Plenty of space and well equipped. Immaculately clean. Great location, quiet, nice view of Loch Tay. Hosts very friendly and really quick in response to any questions. Would recommend and stay again myself.

Enjoyed our family getaway. A beautiful house that was stylishly furnished - very spacious and always warm. Clean modern bathrooms and amenities. Hot tub was of a high standard and nice and clean. A good base location to drive out from. Loch Etive was also within walking distance for a stroll with the dog. Handy grocery store 5 minutes walk away but unfortunately not a lot else open in Taynuilt (pub, tearoom, gift shop, butchers all closed - obviously this isn’t John’s fault though!). We got takeaway burgers and fish and chips from the Kilchruacan Inn which went down very well!

Just home from an amazing stay. The house is stunning and had absolutely everything and more that our family could ask for or need. We all enjoyed the pool table, family games and hot tub. The rooms and bathrooms were pristine. The kitchen was extremely well stocked and the welcome pack was a lovely touch. The views of the surrounding area is out of this world. There is so much to do within the area, shop is below house, local take away and pub within walking distance. Great location for a range of family activities. Would recommend to all.
