Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Lower Garden District, New Orleans

Edward was the perfect host - very responsive, friendly, informative and flexible. We felt right at home in the neighbourhood - lots of great bars and restaurants close by, but also very quick into the city centre. We would highly recommend Edward and this house to those who are looking to spend a few days in New Orleans.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Brenna & Nicks place. Excellent accommodations, great location, very walkable to City Park, trolly, grocery stores, restaurants, etc. Would definitely stay there again if available. Very friendly host, pleasure staying there.

From an easy and secure check in, we felt right at home. Alleshia was always super responsive, almost responding immediately. The house is well stocked and pristine. There is a delicious restaurant right around the corner, which is super convenient when getting into town in the evening. The house is located within walking distance to some wonderful restaurants and activities. We’ve stayed in several AirBnBs that make it difficult to enter the house; however, all of us felt that Alleshia’s entry instructions and security measures were well thought out and appreciated. Would definitely stay here again and will be recommending this house to friends visiting New Orleans.

What a beautiful place! 10 of us stayed on our recent trip to New Orleans and absolutely loved the house and area. We felt safe and close to everything! Good location within easy walking distance to public transportation. Apartment was as described and was even roomier than it looked in the pictures. We felt right at home and enjoyed our time in New Orleans. I would definitely stay here again if I’m ever back in the area.

This place was great! We were able to walk to a lot of things, and felt very safe in the neighborhood. Alex was very responsive and helpful, and the place was very centrally located. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a blast! The location was awesome it’s walkable to so many things, delicious restaurants, shops and bars. The weather was beautiful and I loved the neighborhood! Everyone was friendly. I really appreciated the guest book with all the recommendations for all the different food, we used that the entire time we were there and were never disappointed! It was a peaceful fun trip and would totally stay here again!

This apartment was our home away from home for nearly a week. Funny, we never needed to use the kitchen—or even the coffee maker—because there are just so many great dining options within a 10 minute walk. The area is so lovely and there's so much to do in New Orleans, this is really just where we laid our heads down at night, hydrated, and showered! The laundry access is great, too. We frequently and easily used the local buses and St Charles streetcar to get around town—getting a lot of steps. Local Lyfts are easy too, if you don't feel like waiting for the bus. (If you do decide to bring a car, I think finding street parking would be relatively easy around the residential neighborhood.) We're very grateful to Brian for his super quick responses and great flexibility around check-in/check-out. We'd definitely consider staying here again.

Owens place was quite comfortable and very clean, however, the stairs to the bedroom were steep. The location was great and we had a great time in NOLA.

Great location. Safe, quiet, close to fun restaurants & bars & Tim was the perfect host! Friendly & right there when we needed anything. Otherwise he was out of sieht & out of mind in a good way!:) A really great little place for two!

Nice and clean apartment, just a few blocks from the ferry, which takes you to the French Quarter in just a couple of minutes. It is very calm at night. Overall, I had a good stay, and the host was very responsive and nice!

This Airbnb was great for my team while working in NOLA. The place was centrally located, great for walking to restaurants, and was a nice place for my team to come back to after a long day at work.

Martin was proactive in ensuring our stay was comfortable and that check-in was easy. He asked ahead of our arrival if we would like an extra twin mattress in the rental which worked out perfectly for my family, and he arranged to meet us upon arrival to explain the optional phone app for unlocking the front door. He also took a few minutes to explain some things about the house and offered local recommendations. Appreciate that he did this in an efficient and friendly manner as it had been a long day for us , and we just wanted to get settled in. The rental was very clean and comfortable for my family of four as we spent 2 nights in New Orleans, and the neighborhood felt safe and like a respite from the busyness of the French Quarter yet still very convenient either by car, street car or Uber. Lots of great restaurants and a grocery store within walking distance.

The Natchez was a wonderful place to stay, it was perfect for our group. It was very close to the French Quarters and walkable. They were very proactive in communicating with me prior to our arrival to let me know that the central heat wasn’t working. They tried to fix the issue before our arrival but it required a new part. They apologized and even gave me a discount, which was unexpected but very much appreciated. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend this place to others.

This was my 4th stay in New Orleans and my first time staying on this side of Canal street. We were in walking distance of everything and the location was perfect. There is a market right underneath, The Little Bar right under as well. We also got a pedicure at Eva Salon downstairs from the apartment. Love this place and would definitely recommend!

One of the best hosts I’ve stayed with on Airbnb. The place was as described and perfect for our trip. Will be back!

This was an excellent home away from home, for me, for five nights. I appreciated the cleanliness, the strong water pressure, very hot & very cold water, the electric kettle, laundry machines, and lots of morning sun & natural light with the south-east-facing windows. The location met my needs very well because it’s on the St. Charles streetcar line, and only a mile away from my daughter’s place. One night my daughter and I had Mediterranean food delivered from Shaya (Israeli restaurant), and we dined “al fresco” on the balcony — a nice treat, up on the second floor watching the streetcars go by.) The balcony is large enough & sturdy enough for two adults to do yoga or basic/gentle calisthenics. If I ever visit again, I’ll bring my exercise mat!)

Amazing place and close to all the action . Highly recommend! We will be back next time we visit New Orleans!

Fantastic spot in NOLA. This condo was furnished nicely. We enjoyed the art! It was in the perfect location to walk most places we wanted to go but was quieter. LOVED the parking garage with FREE included parking. It couldn’t have been easier as it is just across the street! Beds and pillows were wonderful and we really liked the bath towels and how many there were. BEST OF ALL….easy peasy checkout. I highly recommend!!!

Perfect spot for 2 couples . Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance. Was nice and spacious, clean, and fun decor. Would stay again.
