Cottage holiday rentals in Málaga

Our first stay at Carlos’s Airbnb and we loved it! Great location to climbing routes and a very private feel to it. The property was a little cold in January despite the AC blowing warm air but the unreal sunrises made up for it! Would definitely stay again and recommend to others who are in El Chorro for climbing!

A quiet and beautiful place, we were happy to stay at Mayte's house, everything was perfect, and better than we imagined, the photos don't do it justice, and Mayte was lovely, she was on the lookout for everything we needed, 10 , I'm sure we'll be back .

Great spot to enjoy for a few days. A really nice, well designed, beautiful home. Well equipped and a lovely picturesque setting. Responsive and friendly host who was flexible and took care of our needs. Recommend.

Everything was great, the house and the great deal with her, I will repeat again!!

A real wonder, ideal for disconnecting and enjoying the environment. It is a privilege to have breakfast on a terrace overlooking the mountains, lunch on the roofed terrace with a wonderful gas barbecue, snack by the pool, and dinner looking at the fireplace. Everything was very clean and very complete in amenities. The access road may seem complicated, but it was in very good condition despite the rains. Ramona was a very good host.

Super nice and quiet place to stay. The pool and Jacuzzi were great and contributed to relaxation. Communication was flawless. Very clean and everything you need was there. Kitchen fully equipped and a basic set of spices, oils and cleaning products was also provided.

This villa is like heaven on earth! I have never been to a more beautiful place in my life.. the surroundings are paradise.. large cypress trees surround the villa and large extensive grounds.. there is a beautiful large celebrity worthy pool and stunning log table with Greek style tiled gazebo! The villa was clean and comfortable and had everything you could possibly need! There are fabulous tennis courts and plenty of seating in the grounds over looking the acres of land! Every corner had something more fabulous! We also had visits from a gorgeous little dog which made our trip! I cannot praise this beautiful place enough! Heaven on earth!!!!

The property is really tucked away and you have to pay attention to the directions otherwise you’ll struggle to find it, but this is typical in this region. Even though we arrived late (approximately 11.00pm) getting into the property was very easy. Each room has its own heating/cooling system so we got to the temperature we wanted very quickly. Overall, everyone (there were 8 of us) was happy with the accommodation inside. Outside is just perfect. Lovely pool and jacuzzi, 8 sun loungers, tables and chairs for all, and a great barbecue.

The house is just as shown in the photos or better, the stay exceeded our expectations. We went for a weekend with friends to visit the area and in the end we were in the house all the time because it was great. It has everything you need to have a great weekend. In addition, Nuria was super attentive, she answered everything quickly and that made our communication fluid. I would definitely repeat :)

Everything great . The only thing that rained quite that end and we couldn't enjoy the stay outside .

This place was amazing. As soon as I booked it Eyal was super responsive with answers to questions I didn’t even know I had yet. This setup was exactly what we had in mind for a quick weekend getaway to relax. Everything you might need is a 20min trip down the mountain which is not bad at all. And you are right in between Malaga and Granada, so the possibilities for the rest of your trip are endless

Beautiful house in the Sierra de Malaga. The house is as seen in the photos. A spacious living room and with the fireplace it was very warm. The kitchen is also spacious and with all kinds of utensils. The beds. Very comfortable, the bathrooms the same. Outside they have two portable BBQs and the views are SPECTACULAR. The house was very clean overall upon arrival. But the best of all was Maria, very attentive to us in everything. She warmed up the house for us when we arrived in the afternoon at 8:00 pm, as we were with my 2-year-old daughter. She didn't indicate places to eat and buy meat for the barbecue, large supermarkets, etc. She was always available on the phone for any questions. In short, the best country house I've been to so far… and I've been to many. I would definitely come back.

Comfortable house in a beautiful spot very private and spotlessly clean. Good base for exploring and walking. Was the wrong time of year for us to use the pool but the grounds and outside space were really nice too. Only thing would be to have information in the house about how everything worked, what there was to do in the area where to put the rubbish, house rules etc. Overall a great stay.

A beautiful hilltop hideaway. Stunning scenery, well maintained pool and outside area. Simple interior but everything you need for a short stay. Incredible hikes just minutes away - try Las Cascadas. Yelena was a wonderful host. Super friendly, helpful and responsive.

The Descansito del Rey is a nice and cozy home with great cooking opportunities for a larger group of people. We spent a fabulous climbing holiday there. Just a few minutes away from El Chorro station and the small supermarket, the location is practical for grocery shopping on foot or going on daytrips by train. Francisco was warm and friendly and extremly quick to help us out in person when there were municipal water outages due to natural disaster. Thanks a ton <3 I definitely recommend the house and the host and would love to stay at the Descansito again!

we had a wonderful stay at alejandros place! he’s beyond welcoming, you can always reach out, he solves ever little question in minutes. the place itself is even more beautiful then on the pictures, stunning sundown views, the rooms are spacious, three double bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen and a big living/dinning room. everything is very well equipped and clean. alejandro also stored a lot of toys for our son and he loved it, it was very kind! the outside area is a dream! the pictures doesn’t show at least all the beauty, lovely plants all around, different places to sit down, a beautiful and large pool.. nothing more to ask for! the location is very private, calming and comfortable. there is nothing to reach by foot but within a 5 min drive you can have great restaurants, supermarkets etc. both - malaga city or the closet beach are 20-25mins drive. for us (my parents, my husband, our son and me) it was the perfect place for two weeks and we really appreciate alejandro’s efforts!

Beautiful house on the heights of Malaga with beautiful scenery over the surrounding mountains. A very responsive and friendly host, the house is functional and spacious for 8 people. A great outdoor space to enjoy the good weather!!! You will pass through the small village of Gibralgalia to get there but the calm, serenity and the beautiful landscape upon arrival will make you forget everything😉.

Marcos was and is a fantastic host and the property is situated beautifully if you prefer a quiet and secluded/private holiday. A car is a must if you want to venture out everyday but that’s what we like as a family holiday. The house has everything you need, the views are stunning and the privacy being at the top of the hill means you are not overlooked by neighbours at all. We will definitely come back here and look forward to the next stay.

The house was wonderful, it had everything we needed and more. Great for lazy days around the house relaxing in the seating areas but also great to explore the nearby areas. The children loved picking the oranges from the trees and making fresh orange juice for breakfast.

Great family holiday at Juan’s. Juan was great all the way through. There was some slight confusion due to a translation app as I don’t speak Spanish and Juan doesn’t really speak English. But with the wonders of modern technology it was no issue. Juan was very helpful. The house was as described. There were little added extras that we didn’t expect like olive oil, salt, kitchen roll, sugar etc etc. One morning Juan even dropped round a crate of oranges and lemons seperated as juicers and eaters. Great Spanish holiday in a quiet peaceful location. Thank you Juan

This tiny house is an absolute gem. Perfect base camp if you are looking to enjoy the epic hikes around: within short driving distance of hikes starting point, quiet and peaceful for after adventure rest, magic garden, outside eating area with views is another kind of magic. All amenities: much appreciated instant hot water, air conditioning, parking, equipped kitchen. 🙌
