A fantastic stay at the piggery! Scenery is stunning and the location perfect, with so many nice walks and places to stop off. I would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful weekend getaway in North Wales, having planned a spontaneous trip to climb Snowdon. The cottage was absolutely perfect for our needs—beautifully presented, cosy, and with a true home-from-home feel. After a long day of hiking, it was an absolute delight to return and unwind in the hot tub, making the experience even more relaxing. The setting was peaceful, and the property was exceptionally well-maintained, providing everything we required for a comfortable stay. The only suggestion I would make is to add a gate on the side to prevent the dog from wandering in and a door on the other side to avoid having to walk around the driveway. However, these are only minor points in what was otherwise a fantastic stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing and well-situated retreat. We look forward to returning in the future!

Lovely little cottage! Exactly as described. Small but has everything that you need. We did need plenty of wood for the hot tub, we brought two big bags of our own so we had enough for 2 nights. First night took a few hours to heat (as it says in the book) but easy enough to do if you follow the instructions in the book which are very clear! Second day it heated up much quicker as we put the lid on right after we finished the night before and then got it started again first thing next morning. Bathroom is small but spotlessly clean! Kitchen very well equipped and they even left us lots of ice in the freezer, bonus! Tarvin high street is 20-30 min walk away (depending on your pace) where we had a lovely meal in Cornichon bistro. All in all a lovely little place to stay 😊

We had a fab stay at Jane's place. It was cosy and comfy and the hot tub was great with a lovely view out onto the garden. Jane was really helpful with the instructions about how to get there and gave some good recommendations - The Nags Head pub did a great Sunday lunch. We had a refreshing blowy walk up Pontesbury Hill - would recommend but be prepared for a very steep climb!!

Nice place opposite the beach, which is more or less empty all the time. Not too far to walk into Prestatyn or Rhyl either.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Liz’s cottage! From the moment we arrived, Liz and her husband Ian were the perfect hosts — warm, friendly, and incredibly welcoming. Our kids had the best time, especially with all the hands-on farm experiences. Ian was kind enough to let them explore his tractor, while Liz took them on a fun tour to feed the chickens, collect fresh eggs, and spend time with the horses and ponies. The cottage itself was lovely — clean, cozy, and perfectly situated by the river, offering stunning views. The added bonus of a spa and hot tub really made our stay extra special. It was the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure for the whole family. We’re already looking forward to visiting again.

Lovely comfy cottage in a quiet area, we could hear a pheasant in the mornings somewhere nearby. Not far from Prestatyn and its shops and beaches. We walked from Prestatyn to Talacre along the sands and dunes on a lovely sunny February afternoon and came back to relax with the dogs in the cosy living room. Jacky was very helpful and responsive to any queries.

Tim was a great host and we really enjoyed our stay, the place was spotless and beautifully decorated, catering for all of our needs during out stay. The property is in a great peaceful location with a dedicated parking space and within walkable distance to local amenities. We loved the kitchen which came with plenty of utensils and equipment which made us feel at home. A great stay and we would love to return again in future!

Came to Jemimas cottage for a solo break away with my dog. Catherine was very quick at responding and greeted me when I arrived. Parking spot was right infront of the gate and ideal to carry your stuff easily from the car. The cottage was homely and had a nice character to it with a secured garden for the dog. Although Catherine lives next door, the cottage still feels private. Everything was very clean, master bed was super comfy and just had a very peaceful feel to it. Probably too much space for what I needed, but it was worth it. Evenings were beautifully quiet with no traffic sounds and Catherine had also made some lovely cupcakes on arrival. Highly recommend for a nice, quiet break away from it all.

Lovely stay at Canalside cottage, it is a welcoming and homely space. Very comfortable with everything needed for our weekend. Great to be able to access the canal for walks / runs. Pub also walking distance for food. Robert & Wendy were great hosts with easy, friendly communication. Would definitely stay again & one to recommend.

Pip's please was so lovely, we loved the decor and furniture and of course the record collection was so superb 😀 We sadly had to cut out stay short due to me becoming ill 😭 PIP was very helpful and sociable sadly we didn't get to go and see and do the things we wanted due to me getting Pneumonia so we will definitely be going back 🤞

Rachel gave clear and helpful instructions and a warm, friendly welcome. Wisteria cottage is beautifully fitted, clean, cosy, comfortable and much bigger than it looks from the outside. A pretty, private, warm cottage. Well equipped and situated within easy drive to both Oswestry and Shrewsbury. We had a lovely, relaxing short break and would certainly rebook. Many thanks, Rachel. Booked for only one night, I wished it was longer stay. Perfectly situated for filming at Hawkstone Hall the following day, I couldn't have asked for more. First of all a very friendly and personable host. An ideal property for a couple Cosy lounge, very usable kitchen, spacious bathroom with large shower cubicle and a good sized bedroom with comfortable bed.

We stayed at Owl's Watch over the Christmas period. It was a lovely hideaway and had everything you need. We appreciated the fresh pint of milk, Welsh cakes and wood to get the fire started. The property was clean and modern throughout and had some Christmas decorations so it felt like a home away from home. Everything was laid out very logically and felt well designed. We hope to come back at some point! :-)

What a great little gem Christine's place is! Great location to use as a base for exploring North Wales, all amenities included, spotless cottage and a warm welcome from the hosts. If you think about booking this place, just do it! You won't regret it!

River Cottage was idyllic but we don't want to tell everyone as other people will book and then we will struggle to book!!! it was gorgeous, can't fault anything at all, we had a fabulous stay, weather was just right for March and the cottage lived up to all our expectations and more. Hannah was extremely responsive to all our messages and we simply cannot fault our stay. We are already looking at booking again in the Summer ☀️

Really beautiful little Shropshire cottage. In a tranquil setting with no TV and a log-burning fire, surrounded by nature, which is helped not least by the number & variety of birds that seem to visit the feeders. There were lots of thoughtful touches around the house, particularly the muffins, bread, and milk sourced from nearby places. Also Genevieve was an excellent host, helping us to find the entrance (despite arriving later than expected) & helping us when we were leaving the property. She also very kindly posted my partner’s lost earring to us! Furthermore, the cottage is very well located - only about 15/20 minutes to Shrewsbury - and with an excellent selection of local pubs nearby.

A brilliant find. We feel so at home. Spacious,clean and so well equipped.Everything we needed for our family weekend away.
