Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Marion Bay

Julia’s place exceeded all of our expectations and made for an unforgettable getaway. The property is spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped. We were lucky enough to have kangaroos visit both morning and evening – such a special touch that made the experience feel magical. The living areas are cozy, with a comfy lounge and a great fireplace for the one cool night we had. We also enjoyed BBQ dinners on the porch, which was the perfect way to unwind and take in the surroundings. The shower was amazing, and overall, the space was just perfect for a relaxing and peaceful retreat. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a serene escape with a bit of wildlife magic!

Great place to stay on KI. The house is fully equipped with everything you would need, and a lot of care has been taken in making guests comfortable. The sight of kangaroos hopping around the house is amazing. The house is in the middle of nowhere so one has to come in prepared. Most sights are an hour away. The only caveat folks need to consider when looking at this place is that the roads to the place are horrible. There is an almost 10km stretch of dirt roads, and depending on your car this might not be the most comfortable. We had a flat on the evening we drove in and spent the whole of our only full day on the island chasing down the towing company. Since its a remote location, this took a lot of time. This is no fault of the host but something to keep in mind. The house itself is amazing and well maintained/equipped.

Loved every second at The Cape, it's the most amazing bnb we've ever stayed at. Everything is stunning, comfortable and luxurious. Fiona and Jodie have thought of everything and we loved all the stylish and thoughtful touches. The location is perfect, high on the hill to see over Emu Bay, perfectly secluded and so peaceful. The deck was perfect to sit and watch afternoon turn into night while joined by kangaroos grazing in the front yard. The beds were so comfortable and we loved the abundance of pillows and soft linens. The kitchen has everything you could need to cook a meal. We enjoyed our stay so much. This is the place to stay if you want to do KI in style.

Richard's tiny house was nothing but perfect! Great location with only a short drive to blowhole beach. Richard was a true gentleman with responding to messages and left some beautiful honey that was enjoyed right on the deck. A very comfortable and spacious home in a very convenient yet quiet and peaceful setting. The house had everything we could possibly need. Very easy stroll into Kingscote and a great location from which to explore KI. Highly recommend.

Amazing stay, super quiet house in the middle of a farm, yet with modern amenities. Great for families with books and toys available for our two young kids. Tons of space, and the kids were very excited to watch the farm animals graze. The welcome gift of fresh bread and wine was an awesome touch. Nighttime stargazing was incredible as there's not another light for miles (as long as you don't trigger the driveway motion-sensing floodlight 🙂) Weather was good while we were there so the A/C only being in the master bedroom wasn't an issue; opening the front and back doors got a healthy breeze through the whole house. It did get a bit chilly overnight but the two space heaters provided did a good job for us (not sure what happens if you're using all four bedrooms, though). Note that we did see quite a few ants in the house, so you need to clean up well after each meal. But you should probably expect some bugs in a house of this age as the sealing won't be perfect.

Words cannot adequately explain how fantastic this place is. The house itself is amazing with everything one could want in a holiday house. The internal decor is amazing but the real hero of this place is the amazing views. If a relaxing/peaceful holiday is something that appeals then look no further than this place. We travelled to KI as a family with 2 young children and they loved exploring the property and fell in love with the wild kangaroos that also call this place home. One kangaroo that we lovingly nicknamed 'spot' is so friendly it will eat from your hands. Sue was very accommodating and allowed us to seamlessly enjoy our holiday. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking to holiday in Kangaroo Island.

A truly fabulous place for a blissful break. We were so sad to leave. Amazing artistic space with so much character, built with love and care. Very secluded but close to restaurants and amenities. Wish we could go back. Thank you Cecilia and Colin 😊

Super Clean, Super spacious. House exceeded our expectations. Lovely home with lots of room. Would certainly stay here again without a doubt. Only negative is the trampoline now doesn’t have a safety net / enclosure as pictured.
