This place was absolutely beautiful, Mary Kay and Clark were very helpful with helping us find places to visit or eat, even with simple requests they were able to help. The view from the house was breathtaking, even walking along the river was fun! Definitely would love to see this place is a warmer weather! Very accurate to the description in the listing! Very kind and helpful host, this place is a must!

We loved our stay here in this wonderful cabin. It was the perfect place to come to and have a relaxing restorative weekend. The cabin is an absolute dream it's plenty cozy and spacious too. Everything we needed was there we didn't leave we stayed here the whole weekend. The fire pit was wonderful as well as the hot tub. The shower was plenty spacious as well. We loved it here and we will definitely be back!

Perfect Cabin Getaway! We had an amazing stay in this three-story cabin in Black Mountain! It was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed—games, great amenities, and a relaxing atmosphere. Perfect for our family! We’ll definitely be back.

Enjoyed an incredible Labor Day weekend at Doug's deck! We love coming to this special place and soaking up the view. Our dogs love it too! So many thoughtful extras.

Loved the place, wish it didn’t rain, because it brought the fog and we couldn’t enjoy the view to its full potential. Glad he had extra supplies on hand ie. the water to wash dishes.

It was great! Very clean and met our needs

We got to live through Hurricane Helene while staying at the cabin. It was a surreal experience. We learned that the community residents in Big Ridge are very friendly and helpful. All the neighbors came together to help each other and received us with open arms and helped us in every way they could. The roads were cleared of debris quickly and we were able to get home within a few days of the storm passing. The property owners checked on us as soon as they could and were as well extremely accommodating. Despite the difficulty experience, I would return to this cabin in the future for sure. The cabin has all the essential you would expect and it’s a great value. It’s perfect for hikes in the Black Mountains, such as Mt. Mitchell.

3rd time staying for New Year’s Eve- love this location! Will always be a favorite to rebook. Doug was very considerate, suggested we switch to one of the other decks that was more sheltered because it was going to be a windy night. Many thanks and can’t wait to stay again

We are elated to have spent any time at this incredible location. Like heaven on earth, it was ethereal. The amenities Doug left for us were extremely helpful, including the solar shower which we enjoyed each day and there was even a dog bowl out for water. Plenty of bungee cords to assure our tent stayed in place and to help hang other items we had brought. The view is worth every penny, but everyone at each site was also so friendly. We felt like we were in a community and are so grateful. Our dogs loved the deck and we had plenty of room for our 9-person tent and still had room to play with the dogs and enjoy some relaxation. It was so peaceful. We will be back! Core memories were made here!

Breezys place is nice and private. The location is close to the Parkway and has awesome views of Mt Mitchell. The WiFi didn’t work during our stay but breezy did everything they could over the phone. It ended up being an outage in the area. Despite this, we plan to come back again!

We really enjoyed our short stay here. The host Lisa was quick to respond to my questions and offered recommendations for our day trip sight seeing. I highly recommend this house if you are looking to connect with the beauty mountains. It is far enough away for peace and close enough to get out and adventure the surrounding towns. The home was well equipped for preparing meals at home. The spa tub was just what I needed after a hike to Linville falls. Five stars!

From the first day we arrived I was in awe , the cottage was very clean with nice relaxing views of the mountains, the swimming pool was excellent, mrs Brenda Brooks was very nice knowledgeable and helpful. She made our stay very nice. I’m planning to go back next year. I would recommend this place to anyone if you want to go for relaxation and a peace of mind. The local supermarket in Burnsville Ingles was excellent. It was so big and it had everything that you could want. I would just like to say thank you Mrs. Brooks for the lovely time at your place.

Beautiful location, cottage is surrounded by bubbling brook, seated in the wooden hillside of Little Switzerland. The winding road is worth the trek for a truly peaceful getaway. The cottage decor is artsy and historic, and the comfy beds make you wanna snuggle under a blanket. The kitchen was well stocked with all the cleaning supplies available. Would definitely book again, perfect weekend!

Gustavo and Isabel's home was amazing. The home looked just like the pictures, and the views from the balcony were beautiful and hard to capture in a photo. My stay was with other colleagues who have never been to the mountains of North Carolina, which made the experience even better. They absolutely loved staying here. There was plenty of room to stretch out and designate a quiet house. We gathered in one home to cook, which was so much fun. It is located deep in the mountain, so stores were a drive away, however, our group didn't seem to mind it at all. It is nearby the peak of Mount Mitchell, which was a great activity to do together. Would highly recommend this listing. Definitely worth staying here again!

Better than advertised! Absolutely beautiful home, amazing view, plenty of space. Great location near the Blue Ridge Parkway, 15 minute drive to CrabTree Falls. Appreciated the nice linens and comfortable beds. Well planned layout for families and/or multiple couples.

The house was absolutely gorgeous, comfortable, had an amazing view of the mountains, and was spacious enough for two families. I booked last minute because of a miscommunication with our own property manager. I called Gus in tears and he made adjustments in the booking allowances for my family to stay for the time we needed. Gus and Isabel saved our vacation and we couldn’t be more grateful. Thank you!

This house is a gem of a find and we’ve booked it multiple times. The owner is also extremely responsive and proactive in her outreach, always available for questions and recommendations. The view is incredible, and when we go we don’t even leave the house. Wish we could own this place, but having it on Airbnb is second best. Thanks for letting us stay. Only downside I can think of is the water pressure - showers are a little difficult and have to be careful what you’re running at the same time. However it’s on top of the mountain, so I’m not surprised and the view is worth the water pressure haha. We love this place!!
