Family-friendly holiday rentals in Milroy

This was a beautiful place to stay, the country gardens and waterways on the property were amazing. The cottage itself was so modern and private. The lovely touches of cheese, milk, butter, bread, granola, biscuits, tea and coffee was amazing! I loved that my dogs could sleep inside too after a good walk around town and swim in the river.

We had a fantastic few days in a beautiful spot. The home is beautiful and perfect for the family, the pool was also great. We loved the area, so peaceful.

The house was very large & suited us very well for our small group. We were in Mudgee for our daughter's wedding. As it was January & hot, we wanted to use the pool. When we arrived, there were leaves in the pool & we reported this to Margaret & she had this fixed & cleaned straight away. We had a great stay. My only improvement would be a third toilet would have been great when we had a large family house.

If was amazing and what we needed. Clean, organized and in beautiful surrounding. Fresh break, egg and bacon in the fridge with wine and chocy biscuits. We felt so welcome and loved the cabin. Thank you for making our break. Stuart

My family and I had a great stay at Browncoat Cottage. The accommodation was clean, it contained all the amenities you could want, check-in was easy and it was located close to town, thanks Alison.

The views really are spectacular! So lovely to be above the town, just far enough removed to enjoy the peace, but a few minutes away from all the amenities. A great stay - we will be back!

Absolutely loved our stay! The place was spotless, and the view was simply breathtaking. Communication with the host was excellent, making the whole experience smooth and stress-free. Everything was well-maintained, and our dog had a fantastic time exploring and relaxing. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a clean, scenic, and pet-friendly getaway! Can’t wait to come back.

Our third stay at Whimbrel - we love it here! The house is well appointed and well kept, and Valentina is a brilliant, easily contactable, communicative host. As a guest you check yourself in and out, Whimbrel is the only residence on the property and you have it entirely to yourself - which we appreciate. If we are coming in and out late at night the only ones we are disturbing are the local wombats. A home away from home (with better views)! Has everything you could ask for - comfy beds, spacious lounge, fully equipped kitchen, laundry, a peaceful garden to relax and have a cup of tea in the mornings, and a cosy firepit outside or fireplace inside for the evenings. Quiet, but not isolated - we still have good phone/internet reception on our (Telstra) phones. Lots of solitude, very quiet, large property with neighbours a good distance away. Literally a few hundred metres down the road from the glorious Capertee National park! There are so many beautiful places to visit from here, Whimbrel is right in the middle of the Capertee birdwatching trail, if you are into that (we are). Capertee being so lush and green this year we saw an abundance of birdlife and wildlife during our 8 days. As for shops, it is a scenic drive 25mins up the road to Kandos IGA for all the groceries and essentials, and on to Rylestone for a Mexican dinner at Pepinos (highly recommend the chimichangas!). The only issue with this place is that you won't want to leave! Thank you again for sharing your lovely home with us :)

An homey and comfortable 1 story spacious house nestled in an idyllic location with peaceful surroundings. This air bnb was great value for the length of stay and accomodating pets and family over Christmas. Mudgee is a stunning location and not overly far from greater Sydney, boasting the best "remote living" experience in a large "farm style" home/cottage. Thanks for a wonderful experience, Claire!

We had a fantastic two night stay! The property was secluded and had the charming, farm like atmosphere we were looking for. The house was clean, and the bed was comfortable - perfect for the two of us and our two small dogs. The only minor challenge was finding the entrance from the highway, as Google Maps directed us slightly off course. However, just follow the host’s directions and you’ll have no trouble.

Great house. Its very comfortable and private to share with another family. The gardens are beautiful and the running stream down the back is amazing to sit and relax by. Make sure you leave plenty of time to do nothing and soak in the surroundings.

The cottage was the most wonderful place to spend our long weekend with our children. Cate and Ian were lovely hosts and we truely got spoilt staying at their wonderful property. The kids loved feeding the horses daily and even got to collect some chicken eggs and see the cows! It was a peaceful picturesque weekend. I highly recommend it.

Coomber was an excellent place to meet up with friends from around the state. Great amenities. Tracey & Steve are great hosts.
