Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Miranda do Douro

Mario was a very friendly host with great recommendations. Although the Wi-Fi was not working when I arrived and there was an issue with an appliance, he was responsive when problems arose and helped me solve them. He has great knowledge of the park with solid recommendations. I was traveling solo without a car and he helped me with using bus and taxi, all very affordable. Even without a car I had access to the river and trailheads. There are food options in the town of Bemposta, but very limited so I made sure to have enough groceries when I arrived. The place overall was very peaceful and grounding, I had a great time. Mario is a superb host.

Helena's house is perfect for spending a few days and getting to know Miranda do Douro. The house is located in the historic center meters from the Cathedral and the Fortaleza. Very well equipped and with details that are appreciated (the jam was delicious!). Helena was very attentive before and during the stay. Repetiremos!

Daniel's place is very atypical and warm. It has everything you need like at home. Ana welcomed us very warmly and is very very kind and available. If you are looking for tranquility and a change of scenery this is the place. There is a very nice cafe/restaurant in the village and the town of Mogadouro is only a 15 min drive away. A very nice city where we can find everything we need. For lovers of nature and beautiful landscapes it is here. We'll be back for sure

The location is unbeatable, right within the castle walls with beautiful views of the valley. There is plenty of free parking in front of the castle but you have to carry your luggage down some narrow alleys to reach the accommodation. We visited in December and it was a bit cold even with the 2 space heaters provided. The space was clean and quiet and the bed had lots of warm blankets. We had an enjoyable time and would stay again! Thank you ❤️

The casa was absolutely perfect for our needs. A very homey, warm space, containing absolutely everything that we needed to enjoy our stay. An added bonus - the rooftop terrace! Rabal is a peaceful little village with a mix of deserted ruins and homes inhabited mostly by locals. We appreciated staying in a town that wasn't dominated by tourist rentals and we found all the locals very friendly and ready to say good morning or more. Conversations were only limited by our ability to speak no more than basic Portuguese. Both little cafes/bars, located side by side, were delightful! Both a great 'go to' for the beverage of your choice. Location, location, location! There are some lovely walks right outside the door. Recommended is a circular walk through the countryside to the Santuário de Santa Ana. Bragança is a short 15 min. drive. The circular route to Puebla de Sanabria, Spain and back through Rio de Orno is an incredibly scenic drive. Ninho do Melro II - Highly recommended!

Peaceful quiet village and lovely house

House with very large common spaces. Beautiful view of the Douro. Great house for a large family, or group of friends. Area that is worth knowing and exploring.

I highly recommend Rita's house. Comfortable house, very clean, peaceful, very quiet and very well equipped. We received a very good welcome on our arrival. Great place and people!

Excellent house, ideal for large groups with many rooms, living rooms and spaces to be the whole family. The host was very attentive and pleasant and the people of the village were excellent. To repeat!!

Very clean room in spacious house with a beautiful terrace. The house is located in a very cute little hamlet. Outdoor swimming pool in a very nice environment! I recommend it!

We love the stay and all the space around, with an incredible landscape of the Douro River. The spaces, despite being clean and making us feel at home, require renovation of some utensils such as beds, sofa and fridge. However, it was amazing! We recommend it!!!

Great stay, with a house equipped with all the essentials. Air conditioning and quiet. Large and well equipped and furnished space. Exterior with excellent conditions. Wonderful location.

A very special and place. Everything has been thought of and a unique, historically beautiful village to stay in. The house and the garden very comfortable. Contact with André super, very helpful and fast. Slept well and all the details have been thought of. You won't be short of anything.

ninho do melro es un casa rural prepared for family use. We thank and value that it does not have the impersonal decoration of all the airbnb apartments. The wood home works perfect, good firewood and tools are supplied to light it. The rooms have electric heaters that soon leave them in a good temperature to sleep. Also the mattresses, blankets and pillows are comfortable and sufficient. The welcome is warm and friendly with good directions to get to know the area. We forgot some electronic gadgets in the house and they offered to send them to us for free at home. Bragança is beautiful and interesting. We'll be back!

If you are looking for a relaxed holiday in a friendly village look no further. Casa do Forno was spotlessly clean and much thought had gone into every detail of this interesting property

A pass of accommodation, tastefully decorated. It has everything you need to disconnect from routine. Victor always attentive if we needed anything, very good host. We were sorry we couldn't enjoy the pool ( we hope to be back soon).

Beautiful chalet on a very clean campsite. Beautiful surroundings for biking (e-bike) and beautiful views. Miranda has a beautiful old center. Breakfast was extensive and Patricia was very friendly and told us about the area. We recommend this campsite. Zamora a town in Spain 50 kilometers from Miranda is very worth seeing.

The stay at Mrs. Helena was a dream, all thinking and organized in the smallest details. The house is very cozy, spacious and complete. All items in the listing are contained in the house, very comfortable beds and arranged to withstand any temperature. We very much like all the time we spend there and also all the experiences of this region.
