Amazing place. I really loved this house. My kids loved the pool and they wanted to stay longer :) I truly recommend this place.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at an Airbnb hosted by Ruwan, and it was a delightful experience. Ruwan was an extremely warm and welcoming host, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The location was fantastic, within walking distance to both the beach and Coconut Tree Hill. The lush green property felt almost like staying in a forest, offering a serene environment. The breakfast provided was very good, with a variety of delicious options. The room was a bit small, but it didn't affect our comfort during the stay. Additionally, Ruwan offers to help plan activities in and around Mirissa, which could add a lot of value to your trip. Despite the minor detail about the room size, the stay had its positive aspects, particularly Ruwan's hospitality, the excellent breakfast, and the beautiful surroundings. This Airbnb is a great choice for travelers looking for a welcoming host and a beautiful location.

We had a great stay at Bandula’s villa! Bandula was so helpful and friendly. The place was clean and perfectly located. We would 100% stay here again if we came back to Sri Lanka

We spent three nights at Anna’s place as a family of 3, with a 5 year old. The villa is in a really good location - a 20 minute walk from the main road of restaurants and Unawatuna beach, so away from the hustle and bustle and noise at night (save for the odd wild barking dog!) We found that tuk tuk drivers were reluctant to pick up in the jungle up here using pick me or uber so we either walked or flagged one down if one drove past on the off chance. To overcome this we took peoples numbers on return journeys from dinner and text to see if they were around to pick up! Anna is an attentive and super friendly host and always on hand to answer questions via the app. Her mother in law Sujatha always welcomed us with a smile when we returned to the villa. She also turned the lights on outside the villa for our return for the evening and moved our washing out of the rain when we left it which we thought was super cute. We were in Sri Lanka for a month and those four days were our absolute highlight. The place is a dream with a huge window directly into nature, at night you could watch fireflies and also during the day there was always something to see, birds, monkeys and lizards. The complex has a beautiful well-kept garden and the staff are all very warm and helpful. The small pool was a highlight for our daughter and it was always clean! It was absolutely worth it when it rained for a day and you just stayed in the place. Would always come back! There's a lot of love in it 😊

Excellent Staff! Very well maintained premises, neat and clean but the highlight has to be the staff. The host was very prompt and helpful, prior to and throughout the stay. A little out of the way and secluded.Not much to do around the property, but that's why we loved it. Better with your own vehicle for transport. Pls do get the staff to prepare your meals, the best food we had on our trip to SL. Would definitely stay at pineapple Villa on my next trip to SL. Thank you Tushari, Hema and Randini.

We had an incredible 4-night stay at this stunning heritage property in Unawatuna! The rooms were beautifully maintained, retaining their original charm and character. What truly made our stay exceptional were the wonderful caretakers, Nalaka and Chandana. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and convenience. From arranging transportation to recommending and providing delicious food options, they were always available to help. Their warm hospitality and attention to detail made us feel right at home. We can't thank them enough for their kindness and hard work. Chris is a great host and very responsive. If you're looking for a unique and authentic experience in Sri Lanka, look no further! This heritage property is a gem, and Nalaka and Chandana will make sure your stay is unforgettable. Highly recommend!

The villa is wonderful – spacious, stylish, and full of colonial charm. It has three full bedrooms, each with a private bathroom (two of them open-air), plus a large living area and a well-equipped kitchen, perfect for cooking. It’s just a 5-minute tuk-tuk ride to Mirissa Beach, a stunning spot, and 8 minutes to Cargills supermarket. Amila and Madara, who stay in a nearby villa, are wonderful hosts, always ready to help with anything you need. The breakfast is delicious – especially the traditional Sri Lankan option, which is a must-try! Sleeping is comfortable, though expect the sounds of nature rather than complete silence. Overall, a fantastic stay in a fantastic place!

Thank you JCK for providing such a wonderful stay at his villa in a wonderful country like Sri Lanka! For our large group of 6 people, these were the brightest days of our stay. The villa staff is very kind, tried and made our vacation safe, carefree and rich as it was possible. Wonderful clean house with colonial history, a lush garden on a large territory, a huge and clean swimming pool immersed in greenery, lovely breakfasts and dinners from the chef. Thank you to the gardener who lovingly brings beauty to this magical corner. Thank you to the animals and birds that delighted us every minute with their presence. And what the singing of birds, crickets and fireflies bals for the ears, and even in the evening you can hear the sound of the surf!!! 10 minutes along the picturesque road and you are on the beach. Thank you JCK for being able to and even get high from the fact that travelers are delighted to tell their friends what they have seen and wish everyone to experience such wonderful emotions.

This place is a beautiful oasis, pool and outside area was perfect to relax in. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. En-suite for every room and spotlessly clean.

Etmba House is such a treat! The home is cozy, stunning, and perfect for a family getaway. We really enjoyed spending our days there. Everything is clean, and the crew—Nuan, Michael, and Shehaan—are super attentive and outstanding. A special mention to Thilakshi, whose delicious local dishes were so fun to try. It’s the ideal spot to relax, whether lounging by the pool, soaking in the quiet, or listening to the calls of peacocks. The location is fantastic too—close to Galle and several beautiful beaches, with Autos and Ubers readily available. Lara is communicative and can answer any questions you might have. Highly recommend it and we cannot wait to be back!

I recently stayed at the Tea House Villa and overall, it was a fantastic experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming and professional. Check-in was smooth, and Mr.Isuru made sure I had everything I needed. The room was spacious, clean, and had a breathtaking view. Housekeeping did an excellent job keeping the room spotless throughout my stay. One of the highlights was the villa's pool area . The pool was well-maintained, with plenty of loungers available. The Forest and paddy fields was just steps away, The on- site chefs served delicious food, Overall, I highly recommend the Tea House Villa for anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious stay. My wife and I spent a wonderful 14 days at Punchi Doowa. What a magical place it is! It is impossible to put into words how special it is. All I can say is “GO!!” - book it right now - spend time there and experience it for yourself! One of the many highlights is the exceptional food that the housekeepers Umesh and Pubudu provide. Fresh, natural, local, excellently prepared and delicious. You will feel better for it! The location is great - extremely private and off the beaten track - but a fun 15 min bike ride from the beach. The local station is also a walk (25mins) or bike ride through the village and the train will give you a fun adventure and can get you to Galle / Weligama for next to nothing! We will be back!

I had a lovely night stay here at birds paradise cabana. It was soo peaceful and the surroundings beautiful. Malitha was friendly and helpful throughout the stay. I loved the outdoor shower. Would highly recommend and plan on coming back in the future!

Brilliant stay! Warm, welcoming family and Kasun was always quick to respond. He gave us excellent recommendations for the area! Spacious villa, gorgeous garden with sunbeds and easy tuk tuk parking within gate. The washing machine was amazing to have, with a line in the sun where clothes dry quickly. Convenient small grocery next door for all the essentials. Ask for the homemade cake. Yum! Some delicious local restaurants in the residential area near villa. 5-10 minute drive to Weligama Beach and 15 to Mirissa. Highly recommend! Thank you again.

I’m a single woman traveling alone from the U.S. and from the first moment meeting the hosts, I felt like I was part of this beautiful family. I have friends forever here! So warm and welcoming and accommodating. What a beautiful example of Sri Lankan hospitality. The hostess is always eager to cook you a delicious Sri Lankan meal. They put in so much effort to make sure that I was comfortable and had everything I need. Excellent all around! Incredible value, excellent Wi-Fi, beautiful home, quick access to Hikkaduwa beach. The host has also been my personal tour guide of the area, which has a lot to see and experience. In particular the tsunami of 2004 was quite devastating to this area, and there are many memorials that are heart-opening. This family even rented a car and drove me eight hours to the center of the island where we spent the night together experiencing other sites! Incredible! I would highly recommend this home for anyone wanting to have a unique, personal experience!

Shamila wasn't present personally but he ensured all the things are in place :) His mother was very helpful and considerate. We used the utensils and tried to make as less dirty as possible :P Location is spot on, away from hustle-bustle of the town and close to the bus stop. We will recommend the stay for all our friends :)
